Possibly no one is with me....but that’s fine 👍😂

I lost weight and got to my target early last year. Then lockdown hit, and I can’t stop eating. I have a stone to lose and I AM DOING IT!

I need to be accountable to someone and my poor DH must be fed up of hearing about it by now bless him. So even if I’m just talking to myself, I’m going to come back morning and night and record my food diary. I’d love it if anyone wants to join for some mutual support and encouragement though!

I’m calorie counting, on 1400 a day. I’m going to have pancakes on Tuesday but then I’m giving up chocolate and bread (including bagels etc but not wraps) for lent.
I’ve eaten my own body weight pretty much in junk today and this just cannot go on!

So there. It’s down in black and white and I’m doing it.
Please feel free to join!
:)

Morning! I’m going to give intermittent fasting a go starting today, and have my 1400cals between 12-8. May or may not work for me as I do get low blood sugars. Not diabetic just something I seem prone to..! But I’ll give it a try, think it will work well for me if I can do it.

Have a good day everyone!!

Hello 👋 please could I join? I need a bit of a kick up the arse.

I’ve only got 6lbs to lose. I lost around 24lbs from Feb to July last year but 6 have crept back and I’m desperate not to end up with bigger amounts to get rid of.

Last time I exercised quite heavily and even still the weight loss was very slowly- no more than 1lb a week. This time I’m back at work and have two children around so I don’t think I’ll have the time (or motivation) to do as much exercise.

I actually don’t mind if it takes me 6 months to get back down to my ideal weight as long as I don’t gain any more and I start to feel a bit better about myself (and my self control) again.

I’m going to try for 1400 cal (same as cake great user name!).

Current weight- 9 stone 7
Ideal (wedding day) weight- 9 stone 1
Heaviest weight- 11 stone 3

Best of luck for today everyone! I’ll post my days food later.

I’m not actually big on pancakes and my DS is allergic to eggs and flour so we might swerve it all together Smile

shenanigans5 · 16/02/2021 06:57

cake I should say too that when I lost weight last year I accidentally fell into a 16:8 type pattern eating between 11.30 and 7.30 most days and despite always having dodgy blood sugar control (pcos) I got used to it and it actually made me feel really energised.

Misspacorabanne · 16/02/2021 07:12

Hi, can I join! I have two stone to lose of baby weight! I get married this summer (hopefully) so want to get in that dress!
I've been calorie counting (using my fitness app) a week now, lost two pounds last week, but it's stalling this week! Need to cut my carbs down, but I've also pulled my back this week so the exercise has halted!
I'm trying to stick to 1400 calories!

PedrosPony · 16/02/2021 07:22

I'm in! I found out last week that I had an anembryonic miscarriage, I have eaten absolute crap in the first 6 weeks of the year to deal with the morning sickness so am now half stone heavier with no baby at the end 😢
But this is something I can take control of, my PT has previously given me a goal of 1600 so I will go with that and try and stick to eating bw 12 & 8. Like @PutTheCakeDOWN I'm not counting today but am off for an early run in a bit. Happy shrove Tuesday everyone!

shenanigans5 · 16/02/2021 08:29

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage pedros, I’ve been there too so I know how miserable it is Flowers

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 16/02/2021 08:45

I downloaded the Nutracheck app yesterday, it's really good and had Hello Fresh meals, so thanks for the recommendation.
Just about to do my morning workout.
Hope everyone has a good day, take it easy on the pancakes!

AesopsMables · 16/02/2021 08:52

Good morning all. Today I have both my meals logged in app ready to go. Going to do a Tabata class at lunch time and a stretch class late afternoon. DD wants pancakes today with Nutella and cream?? She can make them herself this year 🤣
Have a super day

AesopsMables · 16/02/2021 08:56

Pedros - Thanks I know what you are going through.

Cocolapew · 16/02/2021 09:48

Pedros Flowers
Im old skool, I use a notebook, I just get confused with apps Blush

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 16/02/2021 11:35

@AesopsMables is there any particular tabata class you'd recommend please?

AesopsMables · 16/02/2021 12:22

It's a Zoom class that my gym hosts, all my classes bar Saturday's are via the club ( they have been amazingly supportive to their members)
However, if you would like a recommendation for a free YouTube class then 'Heather Robertson' is your girl. I like to switch up with one of her classes at the weekend. My DD's love her also.

PedrosPony · 16/02/2021 12:25

Thanks all. It's shit isn't it. But I'll be back tomorrow with my food log! Gonna clear the Ed old clothes and make pancake mix for later. Hope you all have a good day.

Ihatemyseleffordoingthis · 16/02/2021 13:43

Ah Pedro, so sorry to hear.

I have been for a brisk walk, I loved it. Need to get a pilates or bodyweight habit going though I think. I usually do 5 - 8 hours yoga at a studio pw, as really struggle to practice at home. My chaturanga arms are now bingo wings.

Food today:
nothing till lunch
2 homemade smoked haddock fishcakes - guestimate 500 cals
pile of spinach salad - 25 cals
teaspoon homemade mustard and lemon dressing 25 cals
teaspoon capers 25 cals

for later
snack: 15 hazelnuts (9 cals each!!! that explains a lot) 135 cals
snack: pear 100 cals

dinner: everyone else is having pancakes. I think I might just have miso soup and tofu and veg instead . and go in the other room whilst they have theirs-

Having a very early dinner this evening so I can leave the kitchen to the Pancake party.

Gone slightly over on cals but I have done 2 hours exercise and a trip to supermarket :)

Lunch: Garlic and Lemon Chicken Breast, Broccoli, Protein Toast and some Tzatziki = 419 cals

Dinner: Homemade Chilli Con Carne with a Corn Tortilla and Salad = 800 cals

Snack: Pear = 66 cals

Plus milk in my morning coffee and my vitamin drink = 43 cals

Daily Total = 1328 Cals

shenanigans5 · 16/02/2021 19:02

It’s a juggle this week with half term for my daughter and with my DS who’s 1 around. So exercise options are a bit limited but I did a decent 4K walk.

Food was as follows:

Roast chicken and salad sandwich for lunch 427

Banana for a snack 121

Skimmed milk in tea and coffee 149

Chicken marinated in herbs and garlic, new potatoes and roasted pepper for dinner- 614

So that’s 1311 for the day!

Ihatemyseleffordoingthis · 16/02/2021 19:10

how many calories do we think there is in a super thin homemade pancake?

I've not had dinner, so am hankering after one -perhaps with a pile of spinach in and shaving of parmesan....

Just the one

I can stop at one

Cocolapew · 16/02/2021 19:22

Grapefruit 48
Sausage and mash ready meal 308
2 pineapple rings 38
Cream 131
Crisps 132
Ham and cheese omlette 285
Strawberries 33
Cream 102
Banana 105
Total 1204

BasinHaircut · 16/02/2021 19:34

@PedrosPony Flowers sorry for your loss

I am absolutely ravenous, terrible stressful day which means my dinner planned for 6-ish is going to be 8pm now. But I’ve been so busy that I haven’t even though about food outside of breakfast and lunch. I’d even weighed out 30g of walnuts last night for a snack today and I haven’t touched them.

Food diary for today:
Breakfast - 2 weetabix with oat milk, coffee with 2 sugar cubes 280kcals
Lunch - leftover lamb and courgette linguine 455kcals
Dinner - Bacon and butternut squash risotto and asparagus 600kcal

Which leaves me 295kcals but I’ll probably have some fruit after dinner coz I haven’t eaten any today yet.

Cocolapew · 16/02/2021 21:20

I've just eaten a load more Blush sighs

PutTheCakeDOWN · 16/02/2021 21:33

Never mind @Cocolapew! Tomorrow’s another day :)

Well intermittent fasting might just be a game changer for me..! By 10am I was thinking ‘fuck this I’m ravenous’ but then the feeling passed and I was fine! Had much less than I usually would have, definitely going to try and keep it up.

I didn’t count today because it was my last day on chocolate and bread, but I had:

Lunch - pasta with green veg and cheese sauce
Tea and a lolly
Dinner - pancakes!! And cereal.

From tomorrow until Easter I will be counting in forensic detail, and hopefully 6 weeks from now I’ll have nearly shifted that stone!

We can do this! 💪

cake I’m glad you found intermittent fasting ok. I did it too yesterday. Busy morning with DD so I didn’t eat until lunch at 1pm and had finished eating dinner by 7.30pm-ish.
I find eating breakfast just makes me even hungrier!

I also like it as it means the two meals I do have can be a decent size and actually satisfying to eat.

shenanigans5 · 17/02/2021 07:54

Good luck for today everyone! Flowers

PutTheCakeDOWN · 17/02/2021 07:56

Yes @shenanigans5 that’s exactly it! Once I’ve had breakfast I just want to eat!

Morning everyone! Good luck today!
