Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!

Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

...aaaaaaand it's lady time ☹️ so hard to stay away from biscuits!

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 19/09/2017 14:22

I've put another 2 lb back on. So 5 lb back on in total. Going away end of October and would love to have hit 4 stone weight loss by then but 13lb in 5 weeks is a bit much isn't it. I've not seen this family since I really started losing weight so I'd love to make their jaw drop.

FluffedIt · 19/09/2017 21:45

Sure 3stone is more than enough to make jaws drop! It's amazing, why don't u aim for 7lb in 5 weeks-bloody tough but doable, no more cheat days, I'm always on my phone if u need a put the donut down talk!

I've struggled today foodwise but still managed to hit step target so still technically under cals.

I'm pretty pissed off ive lost 1st2 and still no where near dropping a dress size, so unfair ☹️

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 19/09/2017 22:24

It took me three stone to drop a dress size. I've gone from a 20 to an 18 and I will have to drop another 3 stone just to get back to a size 16! So unfair.

Right back on the diet wagon tomorrow; fitbit at the ready!

FluffedIt · 21/09/2017 00:15

How did u get on yday?

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 21/09/2017 06:41

I had a great day yesterday until DH decided he wanted pizza for dinner. I ordered a salmon pasta dish instead but when he went to collect it he also picked up some bloody dessert. So I'm starting again today Hmm

Dottydoodoo · 24/09/2017 20:10

I have well and truly fallen off the wagon and watched it roll down the road away from me 😩!! I'm so annoyed with myself, I had lost a stone and I was so chuffed, I bet I've put half of it back on already.

Oh well, onwards and upwards! Tomorrow is a new day of a new week and I am going to be good. Again.

The dress size thing is ridiculous isn't it! I am still a 14 despite losing that stone (hopefully!!) I can definitely feel that I've lost weight but there's no way I could wear a 12, it would be super tight if I did.

PastysPrincess · 24/09/2017 20:33

I've had a terrible week and the diet is a distant memory. Loads of stress at work and getting behind in my work then DS was blue lighted to A&E then admitted overnight due to a bad attack of croup.

I'm supposedly back on track tomorrow but it depends on how much sleep I get.

@Dottydoodoo why do you think you've fallen off the wagon?

Dottydoodoo · 24/09/2017 21:07

Aww PastysPrincess your poor DS 😢 I hope he feels better soon.

Fingers crossed for both of us for tomorrow.

I don't really know why, when I say it out loud it's just silly excuses! It was DH's birthday so we had some meals out and cake. I had a spa day so had lunch out. Etc, etc. I'm a bit all or nothing, I don't seem to be able to enjoy having one nice meal or treat and then getting back on it, I seem to have to sabotage the day and get back on track the next day and then something else happens so the cycle starts again. I saw the stone as something to celebrate which it was, but I celebrated by eating what I wanted. I have more to lose than that stone so I'm not sure why I stopped, I guess I found it tough staying on track.

I don't know which scales to trust! I usually weigh myself every Monday at work (hospital scales) and they match identically with mine at home, but last week I was 3ib lighter at home 😬! Maybe I'll do it here in the morning before I go and do it again when I get to work and see if there is a difference. Oh I'm dreading getting on those scales tomorrow!

PastysPrincess · 25/09/2017 06:44

@Dottydoodoo Thank you. He is very nuch improved and just has to get rid of his awful cough.

I think you are supposed to just use one set because even if they are inaccurate you'll still be able to see a trend over time assuming they stay at the same level of inaccuracy.

I'm not quite sure how I managed it but I've lost 1 pound this week. I definitely think it's likely to be bloat rather than fat.

Dottydoodoo · 25/09/2017 15:53

So, I was 81.5kg at home and 81.2kg at work. More or less the same, I'll stick with work as that is where I have weighed myself every week. I have gained 1 pound but I fully expected to gain more so I'm very surprised!

Yay for the 1 pound loss! Hopefully this week will be a good week!

FluffedIt · 01/10/2017 07:50

Right. It's 1st December I've gained 4lb and had enough.

My deadline is next week so that's not happening. Instead I've changed it to a stone off by 1st December.

How is everyone getting on?

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 01/10/2017 08:10

I'm with you. It's 1st October, new month new start. Need to get myself in gear again...

FluffedIt · 01/10/2017 09:22

October not December! Grin

I'm so annoyed with myself for not getting anywhere near my goal for my birthday! Ffs stop eating!!!

OP posts:
Lorelaiandrory · 01/10/2017 19:56

I would like to join. Need to lose 1.5 st before December 1st- is it possible?

Tomorrow is my birthday so realistically won't start until Tuesday but want to check in now ready for then.

FluffedIt · 01/10/2017 20:17

Ooo love ure nn! Welcome!

1.5 would be mega tough, I would aim for a stone and any extra would be a bonus, that way you wouldn't be disheartened, good luck though how are you planning on dieting?

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 01/10/2017 20:24

@Lorelaiandrory love the username. Ideally you shouldn't aim for more than 2 lbs a week so 16lbs would be a more realistic aim.

FluffedIt · 02/10/2017 07:16

It's Monday whose weighing in today?!

I'm feeling so motivated who needs a kick? 😂

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 02/10/2017 20:43

Lost 1.8lbs but again I think it's mostly hormones. I'm back on track today and even went out for a jog today!

FluffedIt · 03/10/2017 08:33

I need to kick myself as I had kfc last night....shocking!

Dh is away til tomorrow night though so at least i can make up for it without any distractions, he's beginning to really piss me off not being supportive!

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 03/10/2017 11:14

I often find that the times I fall it's cos DH suggests something. I'm going to make some single portion dinners for the freezer and when DH suggests getting something naughty I'm going to let him carry on and then pop one of these dinners in the microwave.

FluffedIt · 12/10/2017 09:24

Ok. So who's still going?

I've just weighed and it's shocking! So much wine and cake for my birthday..but it's done and I'm back on it today - I've done a few 1st Dec challenges with friends so hopefully that will keep me on my toes!

OP posts:
FluffedIt · 14/10/2017 07:50

Where is everyone?!

Just weighed and lost a few lb of bloat which is always good! I also managed 17k steps yday...now I just need to get food under control! 😂

OP posts:
FluffedIt · 16/10/2017 21:18

I'm still being good!! And at work on 11k steps for the day so happy bunny !

OP posts:
TheGhostsOfPresidentsYetToCome · 16/10/2017 21:26

I'm only 4 days in and it's killing me! I managed to knock out 21,000 steps yesterday so earned a few calories that way but I'm trying to keep it as low as possible.

I'm aiming to lose 12lbs in 8 weeks. My partner is working away til then so I've set myself a challenge while he's not here to tempt me into sitting in bed eating chocolate with him.
