Anyone just starting? I don't think I can do it alone!

Hi, I'm a fatty and can't stand the self conscious feeling anymore. I tried sw but it's not working for me so I've downloaded mfp.

I've got about 3 stone to lose and would love a chunk off by October. Though I know it will take longer to hit target...anyone else just starting? Or just need a bit of company along the way?

My DH is taking me out tonight and as I've been really good for ages I'm going to eat what I want. It's not often we get to go out just the two of us so we've got to make the most of the time we have.

FluffedIt · 02/09/2017 12:45

My friend's dh would buy her wine until she's lost 5lb! ... can't decide if that's totally twatty or really nice!! 😂😂

14st 11.8
Down from 16st 10

Slow loss now

Dottydoodoo · 05/09/2017 09:08

Another 1ib off yesterday, meaning I have lost one stone since I started at the beginning of June. Woop woop!!

I started at 13 stone 10ib Shock and I'm now 12 stone 10ib. If I could get down to 11 and a half stone or thereabouts I would be happy, as that is what I weighed before I became pregnant with my DS.

So, onwards and upwards! I'm going to Zumba tonight which always gives me a nice boost to be good for the rest of the week!

Dottydoodoo · 06/09/2017 12:33

So much for my boost to be good 😩!! DS was up last night from 1am until 4.30am so I am completely shattered today and just want to eat all of the chocolate and biscuits.

Grrrrr! Fingers crossed for some sleep tonight.

PastysPrincess · 06/09/2017 20:22

Fingers crossed for sleeping

I'm about to go for a run because I ate a chocolate fudge sundae

FluffedIt · 08/09/2017 07:48

I've lost my 70something streak on mfp and gained too! 🙄

It's 1 month today til my target date so I'm declaring a choc free month!

Will actually do something now as I've no bloody choice!

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 08/09/2017 19:52

😩😩 choc free month sounds like a plan.

I fell off the diet wagon and feel awful for it. I had a chicken kebab and I couldn't finish it. Gonna go for a run to try and save myself.

FluffedIt · 09/09/2017 08:38

Don't be down on yourself it's bloody hard! It's great you are going for runs when you feel you have slipped up.

What about doing the whole one day at a time "I'll have cake tomorrow' thing? Sadly tomorrow never comes but it's meant to be easier to say no if u think u won't be waiting as long to enjoy something...

I only had it cos DH and I were starving and tired and just wanted something quick. I didn't even fancy it either. DH really wanted a doner kebab but the chip shop didn't sell anything I really fancied. I just opted for the chicken kebab cos it would be the least worse option. I didn't eat all of it and according to MFP I didn't go over any of my nutritional allowances so all is not lost. It just made me feel really crap cos it's shit food. I'm so easily led by DH. I did cook something healthy while he went to KFC last week so I should have just done that again.

FluffedIt · 09/09/2017 09:47

Kebabs aren't bad though if you have them on salad rather than the pita bread

OP posts:
PastysPrincess · 09/09/2017 09:56

I had it in a pitta bread with salad on the side. No chips. I only ate 2 thirds of it all anyway. I did have a pineapple fritter and that tasted very refreshing after all the salt in the meat.

FluffedIt · 10/09/2017 20:08

My first day back on it has been great, under cals and hit my 10k step goal, think I'm going to reset my mfp so it will show how many days I've been on track and not just how many days I've logged on and not actually done a thing! 😂

This last week has been yummy but disgusting how bad I've been, I'm ashamed of my eating.

Hope this weekend has been good for everyone and good luck for those weighing in!

I put on 0.4 lb this week but I think that is fluid weight so we will see next week

tehmina23 · 11/09/2017 20:46

I calorie count, have lost 3 stone so far but having a problem with food cravings in the evenings- ok for healthy food instead of the crap I used to eat but I find that if I go over 1500 calories the weight creeps up.

I'm not particularly hungry just bored & obsessed with food at night!

How can I fight the cravings?!

Dottydoodoo · 11/09/2017 20:52

Same over here! 0.4 ib on 😩 Unfortunately mine is the result of an also yummy but disgusting week! I was going to be back on it today but had a very stressful day at work and treats were needed, but I'll try and be back on it tomorrow. I've got Zumba tomorrow so I just have to be good so as not to undo all my hard work zumbaring!!

PastysPrincess · 12/09/2017 08:25

@tehmina23 why do you think you are craving? Are you bored? Are you still hungry? Is it emotional eating. Have a think about why you are craving and try to deal with the cause rather than resist the craving.

FluffedIt · 12/09/2017 08:40

That makes a lot of sense to work out why you are craving, resisting is easy(ish) drink a pink of water, brush your teeth, chewing gum (works for some) change whatever activity you are doing, tell yourself you will in an hour(and hopefully it would have passed)

I had another good day yday(15k steps and under cals) scales is already showing the bloat has gone (yay)

(I'm loving the brackets this morning!). Grin

OP posts:
tehmina23 · 12/09/2017 11:21

Last night I did manage to resist going over my calories but it was hard!

FluffedIt · 15/09/2017 11:16

How is everyone getting on? I've been blowing it a bit on cals but doing enough steps to make up for it and the scales are being friendly! X

PastysPrincess · 15/09/2017 12:39

I have totally gone off the rails. I'm under so much stress at work with deadlines and stuff going on at home I'm afraid I'm stress eating. I'm hoping to be better after next week.

jojowilko · 16/09/2017 20:35

I'm just starting (again) 5 foot 8 and 19 stone 13 at last weigh in. Would like to get rid of 3-4 stone so other half and I can start trying for a sproglett. Help!

I'm going to:

  • get organised and prep meals
  • leave my wallet at home for work
  • join my local running club
  • cycle to work
  • take up kettle bells again

What does everyone else do to stay on the straight and narrow?

Ollivander84 · 16/09/2017 21:04

SW - 16st 10
CW - 14st 8
Goal - 13st

FluffedIt · 19/09/2017 00:06

How did everyone get on with weigh in??

I've got 3 lb to lose before end of the month 🤞🤞
