Is there someone on here called 'veal' who posts on the Guardian talkboard?

If so, do re'veal' yourself

I have just seen what you have said about me over there, and you totally misrepresent what I say!

I don't think that people who don't express 8 times in 24 hours are 'lazy'.

I have never talked about the 'virgin gut' in my life.

I don't think women who give formula have 'risked their baby's life'.

I actually think the idea of nipple confusion is wildly exagerrated and do not think women who use bottles 'give their babies permanent nipple confusion'.

Where am I ever 'stern' with mothers?

I am not a bit bothered about how much Clare Byam Cook is supposed to 'hate' me though Though maybe she doesn't 'hate' me - if 'veal' reports what I am supposed to think so unreliably, then maybe she's got this wrong, too.

So, veal, where on earth have you got all these crazy ideas from???

Somebody started an abusive thread about how BFers think that they are all perfect and that nobody cares and they should stop boring everyone with it all. It was, I think, specifically posted to start an argument. It was deleted because it was immflamatory and posted anonymously.

kiskidee · 14/09/2007 19:14

sounds like someone with a big chip on shoulder.

LGJ passes TikTok a large G&T.

Adjusts deerstalker, picks up magnifying glass and sets off to find veal.

Note deliberate use of small v

BBBee · 14/09/2007 19:19

fucking hell - how uncalled for is that!

Tinker · 14/09/2007 19:20

What a sly nasty thing to do.

What an unpleasant thing to find.

I'm sure there's a special place in hell for lying gobshites such as veal.

bookthief · 14/09/2007 19:24

What an odd person. Tiktok has never, ime, been in any way judgemental about another woman's feeding choices but specialises in telling it like it is which has helped countless people on here.

Is veal a bit confussed do you think?

(if she really was bitching about tiktok to CBC at a party then I am very - obv hit some sort of nerve there)

OrmIrian · 14/09/2007 19:27

What???? Got a bit confused about the church business ....but I think that veal is behaving appallingly naming you. Whatever she thinks of your advice and whatever her situation it is outrageous to name you. Very bad net form!

pooka · 14/09/2007 19:32

Oh my god! That is outrageous.
Could you complain to the Guardian mods, because, well, because it's not true, is mean and completely unwarranted.

tori32 · 14/09/2007 19:34

tiktik That is disgusting, I know we haven't seen eye to eye on past threads but that is really out of order. What is discussed on MN is between people on the net and she has no right slating you to others publicly like that.

ScottishMummy · 14/09/2007 19:34

bizzare veal is clearly a sad-lying-storytelling-fantasist-who-clearly-seeks-noteriety-to-make-up-for-inadequate-ego

that just about covers it imo

tiktok - least u got namechecked in guardian by some habitual sado

ProjectIcarusinhercar · 14/09/2007 19:39

That is outrageous TikTok. You should sue .

On another note isn't a Breast Feeding Expert meant to be hands off?

tiktok, my personal thoughts are that you should go on the Guardian website and tackle her head on.

It will make her look like a prize twat ... and you already have some support on there, so it would seem.

G'wan, girl! You know you should ...

OrmIrian · 14/09/2007 19:51

Perhaps we should all go and tackle her

macneil · 14/09/2007 19:56

Oh good grief, all I did is make fun of mumsnet on another board. I didn't name anyone, unless her name is Ms T Tok. What I did is amalgamate a whole heap of mumsnet craziness and say it was all tiktok - as a generic thing, because I wasn't going to explain a year of posts and posters when I could just as easily be glib. The amusing thing was that I bonded with a breastfeeding woman over a talkboard that talks about her (using her real name - oh, there it is on the other thread). I can see why you're steamed, tiktok, but it's not breach of netiquette or anything other than two worlds colliding. I apologise sincerely for crediting all the nonsense to you, but it was for simplicity. That's it! Quite honestly, I used to read mumsnet when I couldn't produce milk and I used to despair, and I used to get really upset and angry reading about the endless supply of milk I should have had if I only tried harder. Clare Byam Cook made me feel happier and seemed jolly nice.

puffylovett · 14/09/2007 20:00

would post but just off to pump for the 25th time as advised by Tiktok ...NOT !!!

god, , veal should be shot.

shes putting off all those unlucky mums who might need some sensible advice from lovely people on MN

liath · 14/09/2007 20:01

What mumsnet craziness??

I am gobsmacked.

what lapin said.
