I name changed, I am a black woman and request primarily black women to send a message in support of Meghan to the royal family. We do not have to explain why we believe Meghan, this is a safe space/board for us.

Yes I do believe her when she says their were 'concerns' from the family on Archie's skin tone (!!) and I also believe her mental health must have suffered greatly - I've had lows where I wondered what the point in living was, and it was terrifying to have my mind betray me that way.

Really broke my heart when she talked about the 'concerns' about Archie, you could really see the sadness in her eyes

Whiskyinajar · 11/03/2021 17:55

I'm a white woman and I believe Meghan.

BIWI · 11/03/2021 17:57

Sorry - also a white woman, and I believe her too. I'm appalled by the number of people, and MNetters, who try to play down the comments by the palace/royal family about the possible colour of Archie's skin.

BeatricePrior · 11/03/2021 18:00

Also a white women and also believe her.

I'd never seen her in the before so this was my first impression of her.

Awful what she has been and is going through.

Detanglinghairtonight · 11/03/2021 18:01

We do not have to explain why we believe her - this is a safe space

Seeing as everyone is declaring this I'm mixed race, though like MM I look more white tbh
Toilenstripes · 11/03/2021 18:03

I’m white and I believe Meghan.

TheWarbler · 11/03/2021 18:05

Why are white women commenting on here? I thought black women requested their own board.

Detanglinghairtonight · 11/03/2021 18:13

@TheWarbler, I understand it is our board, but this is not the time

HopingForOurRainbowBaby · 11/03/2021 18:13

I'm white and I also believe Meghan

BeatricePrior · 11/03/2021 18:13

@TheWarbler

Sorry. Apologies if I have offended anyone it wasnt my intention.

OverTheRainbow88 · 11/03/2021 18:15

I believe her

beeny · 11/03/2021 18:17

I am an Indian lawyer, I believe her, a lot of what she said sounds familiar.

Benelovencd · 11/03/2021 18:18

I believe her and the minimising and blatant racism on MN is sickening

kateemo · 11/03/2021 18:19

I believe her. I was new to this country, married, pregnant and the lonliest I have ever been in my life.

And I am not royal.

Detanglinghairtonight · 11/03/2021 18:21

I requested MN HQ to change the header. This is in fact black women's and allies' message to the royal family

OP posts:
NotSeenBulling · 11/03/2021 18:21

I'm snow white and I believe her.

beeny · 11/03/2021 18:21

Benelovencd, I agree with you about MN

Disfordarkchocolate · 11/03/2021 18:22

This is the only board you will avoid the 'I'm not racist' bollocks about Meghan while simultaneously judging everything about her negatively. Hence, I read it even though I'm white. Some threads on hear are truly depressing.

Beautiful3 · 11/03/2021 18:23

I dont believe her, sorry.

beeny · 11/03/2021 18:24

I get more upset about the subtle racism I endure now than the blatant " u are a paki" from the seventies !

cuddlymunchkin · 11/03/2021 18:27

I'm dark skinned and I haven't experienced overt racism in this country. But I believe her - my experience isn't the same as another persons - and although she's an actress I don't think she could act that much.

MobyDicksTinyCanoe · 11/03/2021 18:27

I'm a white woman. I believe her.......i keep hearing people say well we're a mixed race family and we discuss colour etc etc. Fine.

But as a white woman who's entire family is white if a black woman entered my family and I wouldn't see that my conversation to start. It wouldn't be appropriate. If that woman started the conversation I'd join it, but I wouldn't see it as my place to start it. Because I'm the person in the majority, I'm also the person who's had the luxury of my skin colour/ hair etc being the topic of conversation for generations.

Ratched · 11/03/2021 18:30

I believe that she believes. I don't necessarily believe. But I believe that she believes.

AnotherName1334 · 11/03/2021 18:33

Think you should change the whole OP if the message is only for those who believe her. Asking "do you believe her?" means you're inviting those who do and those who don't to post.

I believe most of it - I don't think she's lying but think some of it is overplayed or exaggerated or wilfully misunderstood. I do believe the BRF is a racist and white supremacist institution and the members are simply trying to not be. I also don't need to bash her because she's really done nothing wrong and I believe most people doing so are doing it out of racism mainly, jealousy secondly, then other reasons.
