However, I am finding so much humour in the 'non racist' vitriol from people that don't know them, and who seemingly don't care, yet can't get them out of their mouths!

I can't wait for this Oprah interview (that I might not even bother to watch) because I'll find the obsessive thread after thread on this absolutely hilarious.

To start us who have had a lifetime of this shit off, I thought I'd add to the frothing with this gem!

Kelechi, Shola and Gina were so on point and so unapologetically Black!

I thought the interview was last night and I thought this morning how lovely and refreshing it was to not have a million threads about it. I looked in the news - nothing.

How great, I thought, see, people are not really that interested in what these two do with their lives now.

Then realised it hasn't been broadcast yet

The numerous threads on here about it are simultaneously hilarious and pathetic. People never miss a chance badmouth these two people who just want to live their lives in a different way. Goes to show how much (some certain) people in the UK really don’t like others being different from them or standing out.

I saw Gina Yashere do an interview on Channel 4 against some Royal Commentator last week.

Watching the interview, it is very clear why the Palace had to muddy the waters specifically now at this point in time and "investigate" claims of bullying. If even half of this is true (who asks how dark a baby will be), then they have shown remarkable restraint in not naming and shaming and staying as diplomatic as they have with answers that could potentially be damaging if answered in full..
I'm petty, I would have said EVERYTHING with a straight face, names, dates, times all the receipts

It’s so clear what this is about. It’s from the lowest to the highest level in society and she’s bringing huge awareness but it needs to stop this can’t carry on I hope this breaks open things. Nobody should even be having their identity protected when they’ve made racist comments about a baby

I would say I honestly didn't know she was black until all the racism headlines came out when they left. I didn't watch the wedding nor do I read news regarding the royal family. I give no shits whether she is black or not. It does seem as though Buckingham palace does though, their behaviour is racist and they should be ashamed.

My sympathy lies with Harry and Meghan tbh. I hope they do well over there.

Still not that interested in them though or any of the royals though.

Not surprising though unfortunately. She was going to be damned if she did and damned if she doesn’t. The whole “there’s a pandemic going is” is ridiculous. Come on, it’s been going on for about a year. There would have never been a perfect time for an interview and they have a right just like anyone else to speak their truth especially when being slandered.

The other thread is contemptible. Bashing MM for being bitchy and unkind by correcting the claims that she made Kate cry, saying #bekind and calling her a hypocrite. The same people were frothing at the mouth at the idea of her making Kate cry but mock her for the opposite and being bitchy for revealing the truth.

Its the double standards when it comes to MM. The need for context about some clearly racist comments. This Morning was disgusting today with Piers.

Absolutely no kindness for someone revealing they were suicidal but at the same time accusing her of not being kind to Kate by setting the record straight that she did not make her cry, it was the opposite instead

This is a breath of pressure from the other toxic threads. The 3 speakers in the link and have said it all really and what we knew already, that it was racism that was fuelling all the vitriol towards theses from the beginning. I can’t believe the extent to which the racists are blinded by their own hatred and prejudice. Opinions with absolutely no basis thrown about as fact, fact labelled as ‘all lies’.

One poster when after it was highlighted that Meghan corrected the story about making Kate cry, turned out it was actually Kate that make Meghan cry, simply said ‘We care what the truth is”, but they very much cared when it was alleged Meghan bullied Kate.

Yet, Prince Andrew didn’t receive half the criticisms she did for something far worse.

I was watching the interview this morning on ‘Good morning’, Philand Holly, I couldn’t help notice how Matthew Wright kept being cut off mid sentence v the other women (in red dress), don’t know her name. When asked what she thought about Meghan and her mental health and how hard it has been for her, the women replied, paraphrasing, “lol at a millionaire complaining in a multi billionaires house about how hard she’s had it, give me a break!” When Phil cautiously pointed out that money is no respecter of mental health, and lots of celebrities suffer poor mental health, she quickly backtracked by saying, “oh yes, I totally sympathise with her” .

One thing this whole saga has done is unveiling all the closet racists everywhere, in particular those in the public eye. I wonder if anyone saw that interview? I’d really like to know the woman’s name.

I wish I could be shocked by how many people are insistent that asking someone "how dark will the baby be" isn't racist, but unfortunately I'm not. So fucking depressing.

@peachgreen I know, apparently this is normal conversation in many families, a bit like when you wonder whether the baby will be blond or ginger, just innocent banter about who the baby will take after, even after it’s been pointed out that whoever it was said, they had ‘concerns’ about the baby’s skin colour.
