I know, I can't believe we've got through two already!

Just wanted to say I'm so glad to hear from you Bigmuther - to be perfectly honest I was starting to fear the worst. Obviously all is not a bed of roses for you at the moment, but on the bright side it sounds like your bean is a really strong one to be putting up with all this with no ill effects . Hope you can get plenty of rest and try to get yourself feeling better.

I've been reading the threads on and off for a while but too chicken to post and frankly a little overwhelmed by the number of posts! So will just warn you that I am unlikely to keep up with all the news but will try!!

First things first NEENZ!!!!! Can I say SNAP! My DT's are 25 months old. My next bub (definitely a singleton) is due 9th Aug, so only a few weeks before you! So happy to read that I'm not the only one mental brave enough to try again after twins!

So that also covers as a bit of an introduction! I'm having a 12wk scan on friday, but have already had 2 early scans (about the only benefit of needing IVF to get pregnant) that have showed everything is well so far. Doesn't stop me from being nervous about friday, though!

Hope I can keep up with most news on this new thread!

BTW - is anyone else suffering with spots? My skin has been woeful from about 5 weeks and still looks shocking. I've not had skin this bad since I was a teenager. It's a right PITA.

I went skiing last week and so enjoyed being able to eat like a pig safe in the knowledge that I was skiing all the lardy calories away! This morning's fruit salad breakfast was sorely lacking in chocolate filled pastry and I missed the big slab of apres ski cake followed by a nap at 4pm....bliss! It was really nice to focus on something other than whether my boobs hurt or not and all the fresh mountain air meant I didn't feel sick all week. I didn't fall over once so I am feeling very smug relieved!

Cakey my skin looks really dull and pale atm and i usually have very good skin

Everything is pissing me off today! Feeling sick, tired and sorry for myself, and nearly everything i have done is making me feel worse! FIL stopping by for breakfast tomorrow at about 8am and the house is a tip. No point doing anything about it til DD goes to bed though.

owh bewler, I'm so I really wanted a skiing holiday this year, but it wasn't to be glad you had a great time I'll bet it was fantastic... I'm off to skye in a couple of weeks for a few days so can't complain I spose.

My skin is super greasy at pale looking at the moment.

Hi everyone!!
had my scan today, and everything is fine! was so relieved, am a week less than we thought though so could somebody change my date to the 25th please on the list?
was a bit eventful as i am terrible with needles and almost fainted when they took blood - resulting in a midwife shouting at DH "move out of the way" so she could get to me!
was there for 3 very long hours as it was really overbooked, have to go back next week as the consultant we need to see had to go out to an emergency. relieved that they are going to do an additional heart scan on the new baby at 20weeks along with the normal scan to check everything is ok- better to know this time and be prepared i guess!

sam86 - I am also a bit phobic about needles! In fact I couldn't have my blood taken at my booking appointment, so haven't had any blood tests yet. Midwife is going to have to do it at my next appointment on the 8th (also my birthday!).

well I have finally made a booking in appointment with the midwife although I did have to tell a little "white" lie to the receptionist - "and how many weeks pregnant are you?"
"umm about 12"
"12 well thats a bit late you should have made one two weeks ago"
"oh "

12 read about 14 I think....anyway according the receptionist I am going be late for my scan and my 14 week bloods (although actually I shall be very very late - sigh never mind...
better than last time when I went when I was 14 weeks and then 2 days late miscarried..hopefully I am late enough to avoid that.

Bewler - I felt like that when I was skiing too - but now I am back I have pilled on the pounds (over-eating )

Alice - i am at Addenbrookes too

Just popping on to add myself to the new list. Still no scan date through, but then I am only 10 weeks. I too have terrible skin, roll on the second trimeter I say! Although the chocolate cake that I am currently tucking into is probably not helping with the skin situation!

I was feeling wretched this morning after an absolutely crap weekend. Binned my breakfast and got the shakes for about 3 hours, then all of a sudden I got my second wind, cleaned the whole house, went shopping and cooked shepherd's pie...and I've been retching most of the evening. [sigh] Didn't get the 12 or the 14 week bloom, maybe I'll get it at 16 wks?
