Lemon drizzle is my fave , I feel better already!
kaylo, DH doesn't hear her, quite how he doesn't I don't know but he honestly never hears her crying at night...sleeps like a log

bouncingblueberries · 27/01/2010 10:08

Oh yeah - that old chestnut chulita! My dh is exactly the same. Even claim to not hear a thing when ds crawls into our bed in the middle of the night

KayloHalo · 27/01/2010 10:10

Crikey, he really doesn't? I'm not surprised you're frustrated and knackered!!! You should wake him up and tell him it's his turn. DH has done that before as well . I also temd to sleep like a log - it's only cos I'm pregnant at the mo that I wake up easily - having a lot of bad dreams and makes it difficult to drift back off.

Chulita · 27/01/2010 10:25

He honestly isn't faking it though, I wish he would cos then I'd have more of an excuse to be angry at him. He regularly wakes up in the morning and says 'what a brilliant night, DD was quiet wasn't she?!' even if I've been up 3 times to settle her. Crazy man!

mrsZaC · 27/01/2010 10:54

chulita lucky DH! i reakon you should just nudge him when it's his turn anyway... only fair!

kaylo that's a lovely pram... I was thinking about this one...www.mamasandpapas.com/product-sola-orchid/103511500/type-i/

KayloHalo · 27/01/2010 10:58

KayloHalo · 27/01/2010 11:21

thats lovely star - which colour?

OP posts:
starshaker · 27/01/2010 11:23

It all depends on the flavour of the babies lol. Boy boy would be blue. girl girl will be red and girl boy will be black

cakeywakey · 27/01/2010 11:27

Nice prams ladies As long as all goes well, I'll be dusting down my Silvercross 3D - it's under a duvet cover in the loft at the mo.

I was in the John Lewis nursery department the other day and another customer and assistant were properly slagging it off. I felt a bit as I love my one, but I then got a grip on myself and carried on shopping . Pram love is a very subjective thing after all.

neenz · 27/01/2010 11:53

I get buggy envy when I see people with just one baby with their little prams that they steer with just one hand and are not in the way everywhere they go But then I remember twins = double the love, double the fun etc etc!

Star, that looks like a fab pram, I have the mountain buggy which is similar - it is great to have them facing you in a carrycot at first, they can snuggle in together.

Chulita, sorry if I am teaching a granny to suck eggs, but are you dosing your DD up with Calpol and/or Nurofen? I always give mine the full dose at night when teething.

KayloHalo · 27/01/2010 11:55

Cakey It was a draw between which we would get - the silvercross 3d or the m&p pramette - in the end we went on the delivery times, and the m&p was faster

Which pattern is it? I wanted the 'coast' one.

Star Love all the colours, especially the black/grey one

About a year ago I was on the local market and I saw a woman pushing a very pink leather effect pram, I looked for a bit and then I was a bit cos she took a little boy out. She must have been just borrowing it, or maybe she'd been told it was a girl and got a surprise baby boy?

I was a proper sheep and got the pistachio 3D - I even went out of my way to get a handbag that matched it

Alicetheinvisible · 27/01/2010 12:10

Hello ladies

Baby will have DD's old Mclaren 3 wheeler all terrain buggy, want to get a buggy board for it though. ealous of you all buying new prams

I have just bought two tops in the sale at M&Co which i am hoping will do well for maternity tops. One was short sleeved and cost £5 and one is a long sleeved tunic that cost £10. Maternity clothes are so expensive, especially when long tops are in all the shops at half the price. Will dig out my maternity jeans and trousers in another month or so though. I prefer the over bump ones as they actually stay up!

Chulita · 27/01/2010 12:10

Thanks neenz, I was dosing DD up alternately every 3 hours with one or the other, I'm keeping her on it all day as well but less often. It'll take a few days but then she'll be able to eat bagels a bit more competently so it's worth it!
I'm totally wanting a Bebe confort Loola but for baby #2 I can't justify getting a new one really. Our 'old' one isn't a pram though and DD never slept well in it so I'd really like a pram this time.
Any suggestions for an Isofix baby seat from birth that clips into a pushchair frame? The seatbelt ones do my nut [bamboozled emoticon]

Chulita · 27/01/2010 12:11

cakey does the silvercross one lie totally flat like a pram? Got a friend selling one but haven't looked at it yet...

neenz · 27/01/2010 12:15

Chulita, maxicosi cabriofix always come out really well in Which? reviews, I have one. It clips on to a few pushchairs (not sure which ones - quinny buzz?) and has the isofix base.

Aussieng · 27/01/2010 12:16

Just thought I'd LOL at you lot - keeping us on the most active threads list. Way to go

cakeywakey · 27/01/2010 12:21

Chulita yes it has a pram insert that is really handy for the first few months as you can lay your baby totally flat and keep peeking at them .

When you use the pushchair they are facing away from you, but you can still lay the whole seat down flat so that they can sleep comfortably.

Is your friend selling the ventura car seat as well? That was handy as it just clicks onto the pushchair base. And you can then use the carseat in any car - as it just secures in with a seatbelt.

I love my 3D! I got a good deal on mine from Kiddicare, it was only £330 for the whole shebang including the bag, footmuff and parasol for summer.

cakeywakey · 27/01/2010 12:22

Ah, hit post too quickly, on the downside, it is quite heavy to lift and takes up quite a bit of space in the car boot. I still love it though!

starshaker · 27/01/2010 12:22

I was gonna buy the loola up when i thought there was only 1 baby lol. Have to say there isnt that much of a selection of twin prams out there.

vix206 · 27/01/2010 12:27

Gosh I have absolutely no idea about prams/buggies etc. it is all a big mystery! I guess we'll go and 'test drive' some in a couple of months

Chulita · 27/01/2010 12:29

starshaker, I have this one in the singleton version. When I was fantasizing about twins I promised myself I'd get one of these Not pram-like but it's very lightweight and lurvely! But...it's not a pram so doesn't help you at all

starshaker · 27/01/2010 12:33

Its nice but i do want a pram and i want them side by side. Maybe im too fussy lol
