OddEyes · 21/02/2009 17:36

Congrats Glaskham by the way!

Puzzle and Nutty thanks for all you hard work with buddy system. Is going to be so exciting hearing about little babies making their way in to the atmosphere.

Electra - sorryfor your worries. Great they monitoring you and they will do the best for baby.

Trist - my mum bipolar too, so hard not to feel guity sometimes but please don't, just chemicals in the brain. Really hard when her manic actions have direct effect on you, just remember what she is like when well. Take care and maybe speak to her dr re upping meds?

Boffin - good to hear you had a break from pain, hopefully bodes well for future recovery.

OddEyes · 21/02/2009 17:39

BB - jealous of your gardening, mine is a tip and mentioned it to dh as my nesting energies don't extend that far - he just laughed. We have same cat poo problem - so hard as ds loves to dig - we have tried lots of diff remidies but scaring them off is the most effective.
Dh finding my nesting funny and slightly annoying. Laughed at me at 11.30pm last night when I was scrubbing the kitchen tiles - made me cry and swear

electra · 21/02/2009 18:10

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Nice to hear a positive induction story too. I will have another more detailed scan this week...hopefully the baby will have grown. I'll keep an eye on everyone else's news in the meantime

brettgirl2 · 21/02/2009 18:13

Hi all, I think that I'll get DH to post the 'news' if that's OK - I'm really crap with texting anyway!

Congrats on the first birth, I was starting to wonder when this would happen Speaking of which, has anyone heard from Barberella?

Electra I'm sorry to hear that you are having a really worrying time. I know someone who had to have a cs at 32 weeks for growth retardation - the placenta was apparently not supporting the baby. He's know a very robust, bouncing and healthy one year old. They also didn't keep him in for very long.

Boffin - it's a brilliant sign that you have had a couple of pain free periods because it shows that it is possible for your pelvis to work normally. I think at the stage we're at now there is so much shifting and pressure, but the liklihood is that you will be OK once everything has settled down after the birth.

brettgirl2 · 21/02/2009 18:14

He's now a very robust, bouncing one year old

PuzzleRocks · 21/02/2009 18:19

Ooh thanks for the added info OddEyes. Shall we split the list now into babies and still to pop?

The baby list...
20 Feb: Glaskham: DS, DD, + RUBY MARIE, 4lb 3oz

Still yet to hatch...

Aloha Chickadees

Gerroff the cats!! lol

Puzzle - Guyliner (and make up) rocks!! Jerard Leto (30 seconds to mars)anyone?mmmmmm yummy Thanks for the new thread

Trista - sorry you are having such a difficult time xx ((hugs))

well today has been a busy day (well for dh ) our lawn is mowed, the stuff from the shed is on the patio waiting to be picked up by a man with a van for tipping (hooray), the cot is up and clean (man i forgot how blooming big it is) and the furniture is reshuffled and the curtain rail in the lounge has been taken down and reattached to the wall (it was falling off). DD has watered the plants and trampolined her socks off and made up the baby's cot (sooooo sweet)

all that is left to go now is the painting of the top half of dd's room and 2 shelves being put up in her room too and dh is doing both tommorw!!! Hooray for spring and spring clearing.

we are 100% ready the baby can come now.

brettgirl2 · 21/02/2009 18:43

Haha you would be so disappointed darling, I am neither famous nor glamorous (particularly at the moment lol)

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 18:45

How are you?

evening all - havent read the remainder of the last thread yet, but was excited to see that the first April girl has popped.

will go and read the rest now to see whats happening with everyone.

we've had a good day at home getting lots done - moved ds into a big boy bed so meant a lot of crap got shifted out of his room, and just general tidying which is great. also mississippi mud pie just out of the oven for lunch with friends tomorrow so a very domesticated day.

hope you're all having good weekends.

PuzzleRocks · 21/02/2009 20:29

Can I come to lunch Conker?

OP posts:
thebluefoxategreensocks · 21/02/2009 20:32

oh yeah, of course! the added advantage of a home birth - can MN at the same time! Don't more of you want to have one now???! LOL

I'm doing OK, just tired out today - had driving lesson first thing, then was planting flowers in pots in the front garden. Not too bad, except my nearly 2yo little boy thought he was meant to throw compost from the bag everywhere and pull up my newly planted plants! Then been trying to get nappies washed, downstairs dusted & hoovered (with solid fuel stove in sitting room we get lots of dust, which makes my asthma worse - so have to try and keep at it). But then I get sore back & legs if on my feet too long. Ended up with dinner being too late (6.15pm, because I didn't want to stop hoovering once I'd started!) and my two toddlers were very overtired and couldn't really cope with dinner! Managed to get them both bathed & in bed before 8pm - but they were really too tired for even that. So feeling a bit of a bad mum - should have stopped my chores so they could have dinner & bed at a more sensible time. They wouldn't usually be so bad, but had day out on bus on Thursday (no naps for either and late to bed) - then half a day out yesterday and my almost 2yo fell asleep in afternoon, which meant it was 10pm b4 he went to sleep last night. Soooo, they were both extra overtired today - can't really do naps for either of them, else it's very late to bed & worse tired the next day.

Sorry, telling you my life story! You'll know next time not to ask how I am! LOL
