Here goes-I got a BFP on DPO 11 which makes me due 1st October. Was going to avoid the antenatal thread until I was completely sure but have already done 3 tests and am still not convinced. Come on and join in the worry fun.

doctors apt booked for wed

idreamofbeanie · 24/01/2009 17:33

Thanks HC, I was just coming to check whether anyone had been brave enough to set up the October thread yet. I got my BFP on Monday and should also be due 1st October . This is my first pregnancy and so far it seems completely unreal. Apart from very tender boobs I don't have any symptoms (apart from a large dose of worry - these early days are nerve-wracking aren't they!). Shall I start a list?

Hi boob, how many tests have you done now? I did an early response 2 days before AF due and have done another first response and a digi test since - lol.

HumphreysCorner · 24/01/2009 17:35

Tell you what theboob-I'm not phoning the midwife until I'm 8 weeks. I am 4+2 but have no symptoms apart from cramping but I do feel quite tired but put that down to looking after DD1 and DD2. Have been reading my old AN thread for DD2 trying to work out what symptoms I had with her.

HumphreysCorner-No 3 due 1st October
theboob-No? due 1st October

Ah welcome. X-posts.

Off to get some tea ready.

BTW I haven't made a doctors appointment yet - I thought I would wait until 6 or 7 weeks but as this is my first I wasn't really sure what the 'protocol' was. Should I be going now?

I am due on Oct 1st too and am flabbergasted as I am 41 and it took me four years to conceive our son now 19 months. I am so shocked I've done five tests of various colours.

No symptoms except a slight queasy feeling which intensified after I read idreamofbeenie's comment about going from one child to two - is it really bad??!

doggus · 24/01/2009 21:12

Sorry I meant theboob's comment.

theboob · 24/01/2009 21:13

congratulations doggus

Hello and welcome doggus. I am 40 on October 8th

Am so relieved going from 2 to 3 isn't too bad but I found 1 to 2 quite easy as DD2 was so much calmer than DD1.

I'm sure when I was eating my tea it might have turned my stomach, especially the mayonnaise. Have just had a drink of lemonade which hit the nausea spot.

Still not convinced I am properly PG but no sign of AF. Must stop searching for Chemical Pregnancies on MN.

Am off to bed now so night ladies.

LittleMissBliss · 24/01/2009 22:54

Hi ladies i'm due on the 5th OCT with no2.

theboob · 25/01/2009 08:20

HumphreysCorner · 25/01/2009 10:45

Hello LittleMissBliss and welcome. Congratulations! We have all been early testers so far on here.

Have done yet another test this morning, a Clearblue normal and the cross was instantly very bright. Have one more test to do next Sunday which is the MN freebie digital with conception idicator which I am hoping will say +3 weeks past conception.

Off to take DD1 and DD2 to a party at a Farm this afternoon. It will be very muddy and wet-yuck!

theboob-have a lovely afternoon.

Have a good day ladies!

i keep testing to HC my ebay cheepies are now showing a big thick instant line, this time last week i was struggling to see my very faint line,i also have a digi left to test ,I'll test with you next sunday HC and lets see if our conception indicators match

idreamofbeanie · 25/01/2009 14:20

Hi,

Welcome doggus and LittleMissBliss!

I think I might join in with the testing - I also have a clear blue digi test left and I may as well see if I get a +3 weeks. How did people get these freebies? I think I spent a fortune on tests this month, I just couldn't believe it was positive.

Boob - hope you had a lovely afternoon. We were in Costa today and there were loads of families with small children. I just kept thinking that with a bit of luck we will have our own little one in about 8 months. So strange but so exciting!

doggus · 25/01/2009 14:52

I am having a torrid time as ds has got a vomiting bug. He's sprayed the walls, the carpets, skirting boards.....up a lot of the night.

Niow I feel sick too, and can't work out if it is pg or his bug!

I am only giving him dry otast and crackers as he has kept that down.

Any tips from you experienced mummies out there welcome.

Theboob - your name makes me laugh every time I think about it!

theboob · 25/01/2009 15:30

haha whenever i have a baby its all i hear.....stick him on theboob
i'm going to name change soon to theboobandthebump, what do you think ?

theboob · 25/01/2009 15:31

hope your ds is feeling better soon and you dont catch it xx what your already doing sounds perfect

doggus · 25/01/2009 16:52

Thanks sweetie - yes, i like theboobandthebump...oh my GOD what if we're having TWINS!!!

HumphreysCorner · 25/01/2009 18:03

doggus, sorry to hear DS is poorly. Would turn my stomach-ew!

Had 2 symptoms this afternoon-felt dizzy at the farm this afternoon while I was standing and I have a headache which is a pain but a good sign as it is a common thing in the first few weeks.

The digi tests were given away last July, you had to put you name down on a thread.

Big wave to all.

OP posts:
doggus · 25/01/2009 18:27

Hi Humphreys

I had the dizziness thing too, which is how I first suspected.

Am following ds around with a carrier bag (carefully tested with no holes in the bottom!).

LittleMissBliss · 25/01/2009 18:49

Sorry to hear your ds is unwell. I had a simular thing with my ds last week but it was becaue of a mini fish pie i made for him (not my cooking!), its the secound time he's been sick after eating fish so that looks like another intolerance he has allong with dairy oh Joy!

Hope your little one feels better soon.

I've felt like crap all day, so tired at work. Ds woke up last night because he'd kicked off his duvet. And then the wind was blowing a gale so couldn't sleep and could hear the bbq cover blowing about at silly o'clock, so just had to sort that out in the rain!

Off to bed now as i'm exhausted and have a banging headache.

Ds has a party tomorrow so hoping the headache goes by then.

Hope you both feel better too tomorrow.

I'm also waiting a a week and testing again i have the e-bay cheepie tests. So faint line so hoping it gets darker by Sat. I still have about 12 tests to get though so no doubt i will be testing before Sat. Just want to make sure!

doggus · 25/01/2009 18:57

Hi littlemissbliss. Sleep well - hope your headache goes. Massive gale here too, we live near the sea on the south coast and it was raging last night.
