TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 20/01/2009 16:16

No Dinky, Ooogs was the single birth in the last thread!

herbgarden · 20/01/2009 16:24

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah a new baby - almost brought a tear to my eye CONGRATS OOoooogs - how very exciting and hope you get some snoozing in soon to get your strength back. Looking forward to seeing some piccies !

Can't believe there's 4 of us now on 2nd Feb. Two known boys - I don't know what flavour I'm havingh - LMN don't think you know either do you ? I dreamt last night that I was having another boy. He just sort of arrived (don't remember the birth) but no-one told me whether it was a boy or a girl so I had to take it's nappy off to find out. He then grinned at me with a full mouth of teeth . It was very very weird.....Last pregnancy I dreamt I gave birth to an 8 year old girl?!

Neeerly3 · 20/01/2009 16:28

you can run, but you can't hide!

any tips on getting rid of the "needing to pee" feeling, then getting to the loo and dribbling about 2 drops? I am quite worn out with all the walking to and from plus the getting my tights on and off each time.....

Calico1 · 20/01/2009 16:29

Herb that's scary! I asked my DS what he thought I was having and he thinks it is going to be a kitten....I've been having nightmares ever since!

McDreamy · 20/01/2009 16:31

oooh a new thread, loads of room for new babies

mumoverseas · 20/01/2009 16:33

just popping in for a quick wee to mark my spot.
Going to bed now (early morning!) any more arrivals before I get up tomorrow? x

herbgarden · 20/01/2009 16:37

calico according to my ds we're having a "boybaby" and it's going to be called Harry which is an improvement on Helter Skelter which he'd decided on a few months ago ?! At least a kitten would be easier to push out than a 7lb baby

LittleMissNorty · 20/01/2009 16:47

No idea of flavour here either.....would love a boy but would also love 2 girls....and everything I have is a variation on pink

Re weeing...I lift my bump up and rock backwards and forwards on the loo to empty my bladder properly.....my kidneys are working overtime though....but only at bloody night it would seem

Calico1 · 20/01/2009 16:56

Herb - helter skelter?....I like it, quite a cool name really!

dinkystinky · 20/01/2009 16:58

Aah, thought Sian was the baby on the last thread...

Re weeing - I second LMN on the rocking all over the place motion.

Herb - Helter Skelter sounds very rock and roll!

TinkerBellesMumandFiFi2 · 20/01/2009 17:04

Nope, last thread was only 10 days old! Sîan is now (calls Tink to count on her fingers as I can't reach my own toes) 18 days old.

Neeerly3 have you tried having a drink before you go to the toilet?

rosieposey · 20/01/2009 17:07

Marking for later

McDreamy · 20/01/2009 17:13

Oh you can tell I'm pregnant - just blubbed when Barrack Obama became president

MarkStretch · 20/01/2009 17:24

Neerly3 I have been bursting for the toilet all day, then when I get there a tiny dribble comes out, I feel deeply disappointed, and then as I stand up and pull my pants up, some more wee comes out.

I smell like a pissy old tramp.

rosieposey · 20/01/2009 17:26

pmpl MS - i thought it was just moi

KT1983 · 20/01/2009 17:46

Blimey you lot can chat for England

Just logged on before I head off to the Ante Natal Class to check for news on baby arrivals...

CONGRATULATIONS Ooogs Hope you & Luke are having a well deserved bit of rest xx

Ive been sooooooooo tired today - Ive been laid in bed since 2.30 trying to sleep, but with no joy, I think pregnancy is finally beginning to take its toll on me & Dinky I think you were right, my body is trying to tell me to slow down....So thats exactly what im going to do - probably about time.

Have a good evening all

katieblirdsnest · 20/01/2009 17:50

Hope it's not too late to join, seems strange that 2 have already arrived before I've even joined.

I've added my details in:

KT - just before DS was born I couldn't contemplate sitting and doing nothing - it all felt a bit wrong as I'm an on the move can't sit still type. The thought of not being at work for 9 months also filled me with dread and I found the first few weeks with a sleepy baby a bit weird - there was all this build up and then he didnt' "do" anything except eat sleep and feed (no, really ?!) Now I really really appreciate being alone and not having to "do" anything as most of our days are quite packed - I usually try to get out when I'm with DS at least once a day so that we don't all drive each other bonkers. If I have time on my own I tend to just want to mooch round the house without a toddler causing chaos in my wake.....

Just resting now is probably really good for you - got a good book to read?? few crappy magazines ?? Enjoy ante - natal !

KT1983 · 20/01/2009 18:04

Herb Im exactly the same, Im not used to sitting still & just relaxing. Im going to head to the library tomorrow & stock up on books....
Maybe I should start baking or something

I have started to make Baby arrival cards which keeps me busy & I really enjoy doing them, so as long as I can fill in some spare time I shouldnt get too fed up. Well, I hope!

Cocodrillo · 20/01/2009 18:17

Congratulations to Ooogs. So exciting! Love the name too! Hope you are feeling not too battered.

Gah, so we've all actually got babies in our tummies.

Hope yesterday's meet-up was a success

littleboyblue · 20/01/2009 18:19

Good god, you lot can talk and talk and talk. I've had to cut and paste my messgae twice and only hope no-one else had a baby whilst I've been catching up on this afternoon! Was only on at midday and have read 2 pages and been directed to a new thread!! Madness I tell you.
I took ds to the park, another little boy turned up with his dad, the boy was about 2 and kept pushing my ds over, which I don't mind, these things happen, but like I was saying to some of you at the meet, it's the lack of a telling off and empty threats that gets me. The dad kept saying "do that again and we're going home" so the boy would do it again and just get the same threat. Nevermind, ds was ok, lots of crying and a big bump on his eyebrow but he'll live.
Yes, I did sit on the washing machine on a fast spin, not for too long though, was scared of breaking it, but wil have another go tomorrow.
Re: Ladygarden, not that any of you need to know, but I am normally nice and tidy as a general rule, but I am a shaver and not brave enough for waxing and as I can't see it, I just forget about it. I can't even remember what state it was in last time......
PT You raise a good point about the bleeding and stitches, might start doing it bit by bit from tomoz and knowing my luck go in to labour quick and be uneven and lop-sided!
KazzaL I think it's great you working this close to DD if you can still manage it, makes sense really to have the time the other side. I would have done it that way last time, but running a pub meant lots of time on feet behind the bar so ws getting very uncomfortable and as everyone was worried about bumping into me, I was slowing my teams productivity, also I had 3 small bleeds in 1 week so took that as a sign I should stop but would have def gone on longer if I felt I could.
catstar I gave up along time ago apologising for ds throwing food around It was nice that my ds had someone to compete with in the high pitched screeching department! Think it's def got something to do with ITNG, or just their age.
Fantastic news about Oooggs Congratulations, I am sooo jealous. Can't believe we have another baby!! So exciting.....
She stole my name though. tut.
Hope you are both doing well, look forward to hearing all about it.
Hi TBM&FiFi2 All go for you at the moment then. Good luck for friday.
