Thanks for the new thread TINK and many congratulations KOOKY, that's wonderful news

kookykid · 27/12/2008 19:07

Thanks!
Am feeling really nervous and definitely won't be telling anyone in RL this time. However, keeping the in-laws from guessing when we're there will be interesting!

Any news from nat?

kayzr · 27/12/2008 20:21

YAY KOOKY! I am so pleased for you.

kayzr · 27/12/2008 21:36

Mikey was born about an hour ago. He is small but not worryingly small.

Congrats to Nat and her family!!!!!!!!!

Morning! Great news from NJ isn't it?!

We're having lunch with my parents today and then tomorrow afternoon PIL arrive from Ireland to stay for a week.

Tomorrow morning is our scan. DH has agreed not to find out the sex I just think it'll be nice to save the suprise for our first. Still quite nervous about it though.

Tink - v good sale shopping

Hope everyone else is ok!

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 28/12/2008 09:50

not long till your scan it is exciting

Meant to say congrats to kooky too!! Fab news!!

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 28/12/2008 10:35

Morning! Yes, great news about NAT ; she must be so relieved and happy. Can't wait to read the birth story!
Hi TINK, SES; good luck for tomorrow SES, I'm sure all will be well . We are also resisting finding out the sex, though am convinced it's a girl after having 3 .
Popping into towm today to go to the ice cream cafe, but may have a peak in Next too...

Cosmogirl · 28/12/2008 10:44

Congratulations NJ. Can't wait to hear more about little Mikey.

Ses -good luck for scan tomo.

Hi Diege and Tink.

Had a really horrible night. Went to bed feeling very sick - not like usual nausea, properly yuck. Then got up and threw up in the toilet really violently, then went on to have tummy cramps which felt a bit little BH, baby was poking lots, then had really bad diahorrea until 4 this morning. It was quite scary......I ate a lot of dairy yesterday so not sure if that upset my stomach but something obviously really disagreed with me or the baby.

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 28/12/2008 10:46

Hi Diege
Ice cream and Next sale sounds a good combo! Have fun!

Right I really must strip the spare bed and get the bedding washed for PIL visit!

SesHasnearlyreachedhalfway · 28/12/2008 10:48

Hi Cosmo - sorry x-posted. Sounds a horrendous night. Look after yourself and hope things improve and you have a better night tonight.

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 28/12/2008 12:07

poor u cosmo hope you are feeling better

OP posts:
Cosmogirl · 28/12/2008 12:23

Thanks Ses and Tink. Feel lots better today but it was really frightening at the time. Thought I could be going into labour or something. Think it was prob a mixture of upset tummy, braxton hicks and baby turning around that caused me to feel so ill. Weighed myself this morning and have lost a pound since yesterday!

lastboxoftampons · 28/12/2008 18:07

Hello everyone! Hope everyone's had a fab Christmas

Congratulations Nat! and welcome to the world Mikey!!!

AND CONGRATULATIONS KOOKY!!! that's such wonderful news! come join us! (so that I'm not the "baby" of the thread anymore )

Have a lovely scan tomorrow Ses and post pics when you have them! have a nice visit with PIL.

Cosmo poor you Hope you're feeling better today!

We told DH's Mum and Dad/stepmother/brother over Christmas. Everyone was very happy for us!

kayzr · 28/12/2008 20:59

Hello,

Cosmo, Sorry you were so ill. Its horrible being ill isn't it.

Ses, Have a great scan. Really looking forward to seeing some pics. Hope your lo keeps their legs crossed so you don't find out the sex.

I have decided not to wait until the 2nd of January to start working out and dieting. I would ideally like to have lost a fair bit of wait by my birthday in April so I can treat myself to new clothes.

Playingthe9monthwait · 28/12/2008 22:54

Merry Christmas all.

Just popping on quickly to check up on NJ.

Glad to hear all went well with the induction. Congratulations on your LO. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Kooky - congratulations, make yourself at home.

Cosmo - sorry to hear you have been poorly.

Right I am off to bed now as I am still feeling poorly.

kayzr · 29/12/2008 08:04

Morning,

Playing, sorry you have been poorly. Hope you feel better soon.

I have just noticed my typo from last night. I want to lose 'weight' not wait!!!!!

I'm coming down with a sore throat. It really hurts, I'm hoping not to pass it onto the DS's.

Hope you are all ok this morning.

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 29/12/2008 08:47

Not heard from Nat since I got the message. Might text her later or tomorrow morning.

Well the HV has cancelled on me. It sounded very serious though as she had a very serious voice on and she didn't chat like she normally does.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 29/12/2008 10:44

morning Ladies.... hope you all had lovely christmas's.... first tiem i've been able to get to the PC since xmas!! The living room is starting to take shape again slowly... i took the tree down today to make room for DD's new pram.

Sorted through all the baby clothes last night (started at 9pm, finished at nearly 11pm!!) and i really dont need much at all in newborn and 0-3, possibly a couple of sleepsuits and outfits and that will be it i should think!!

I haven't text nat since the morning after she'd had Mikey, I can't wait for her birth story!! and to see pics!!

My Pelvis/back pain is getting worse by the day, I think i'm going to hold off till the 6th jan when i see my MW though to mention it... i'm coping- just- but i dont think i'll last much longer on self-will!! Going to see what she suggests and take it from there.

Morning! Looking forward to hearing your scan news SES
Hope you're feeling better COSMO - you sounded very poorly Same with you KAY and the sore throat! I don't think I've known so many people sick this autumn/winter, on mumsnet and RL; roll on the summer!
Hi to everyone else . We're hoping to go the Chester this afternoon, though it does look very cold out (frozen canal). Didn't get to town after all yesterday as felt too tired, and ended up sleeping most of the afternoon . Where is the second trimester energy then????
Hope NAT and baby Mikey are doing well. Looking out for that birth announcement!
