Is anyone from the North of London? Do you know of any Pregnancy Yoga classes? I feel quite sick this week... but its like a lot of you ladies out there it feels good to have symptoms cos thenb I know everythings ok! had a MMC in May so I am so frightened.. I wish we could have a scan every 2 weeks just for peace of mind!

SweetBroody - I know of 2 places in St Albans that do pregnancy yoga / pilates if that helps ?

Hmmm but I wish I could stop! i'm hoping mediation/yoga or something will help... Just feel rubbish at the moment - still trying to recover from a chest infection that I've had for 2 weeks! Not allowed antibiotics tho! I live in Barnet... :S and not driving at the moment St Albans might be just a little far!

And the WIND! is blowing me away.. I wish that embarressment would stop!

Just a quick one as supposed to be working. Was it LoobyLou asking about Downs etc risk in mid/late 30's?

I think it was a little out of order for your midwife to say to expect to be high risk (generally accepted to be a higher risk than 1:250). It is perfectly possible to be older and come out low risk - I'm 37 (will be 38 by due date) and have a risk of 1:7100. It's true that background risk (ie age related risk) is used as a factor in calculations, so for the same blood/nuchal results my risk will still be higher than someone aged 30. But if the nuchal measurement is good, there is a nasal bone, and the blood results are good also, the risk will still come out as low.

She may have been trying to prepare you for the fact that the risk does go up dramatically with age, but she should have also said it can come down dramatically when your particular results are taken into account.

Everyone knows we are expecting now. Most people have known for a while due to my large belly size.
Since I heard it's heart beat yesterday, we are 12wks and our nearly 3 year old has been telling me to stop eating cos I'm getting TOO FAT [her words]. We have told her that there's a baby in mummy's tummy. She promptly told me that the baby is hungry and needs to pop out to have some mummy's milk.

I'm still debating whether to have a private nuchal scan or not - guess I'd better get it booked up soon though if I'm going to do it. They say the optimum time is between 12 and 13 weeks.

12.5 weeks 6 days to next scan

I think I just look fat.. can anyone help with my dates please.. If the scan said 6.5 weeks is that gestation and not LMP? my last period was 15th August but the doc said my due date is 29th May? I am baffled as to how pregnant I am.. I think 8.5 weeks Gestation and 9.5weeksLMP?

Sweetbroody - I've had no scans yet (first one in 3 weeks ) but I am due on May 29th but my LMP was Aug 21st. That is on a 29 day cycle - are yours normally longer ?

If you try this link, you can enter your LMP date and your average cycle length - may help ?

I had some bleeding.... So I had an early scan... How pregnant do you say you are?

Thats according to my scan though.... :D so I think it doesnt include the 2 weeks in between :S if you know what I mean. I think it calculates the pregnancy in terms of 38 weeks and not 40 :S

Hi all, can't believe how big the last thread was!

All fine today, I hope.

I felt really nauseous over the weekend, like constant motion sickness. Was so irritable as well.

Also, very off sex/affection and want to push poor DH away even if he just wants a kiss or cuddle. I feel really mean but am sad I don't feel affectionate. Anyone else this way?

I wish my pregnancy hormones were the other way round.... but not so. sigh. Poor DH.

I decided against the nuchal one as I know i would worry about it so much. At my age (39) I know I'm high risk anyway so will wait for the 20 week anomoly scan to get any assessment.

About bumps, mine is definitely protruding though just looks/feels like bloatedness, especially by the end of the day. Am about 12 weeks, I think. Will find out at dating scan Thu.

I've been feeling sicky and he really stinks to me! even if he has just had a shower... I do feel sick all the time though and sleepy.... apart from at night when I cant sleep.. I keep worrying that somethings wrong as well :S but thats probably paranoia..
