lovely new thread TS and I don't wish to seem picky with the lovely new thread etc but my Ismay isn't in bold?!?!

I am on co-codamol and diclofenic (sp?) am although not in huge amounts of pain am beginning to feel a bit 'nippy' now and really can't be bothered with it all so happy enough to fire in the meds for a wee while longer I was also very sore down below due to some things that went on after the birth (not a pleasant story so held off on most of the details) but that seems to have levelled off now - am glad you're not finding yourself too sore TS and well done Reese on her excellent appt!

had a good day here, wasn't raining for the first time in ages to piled kids off down to Cairnie Farm, took dd1 to gymnastics, managed a wheech round tescos and parked in front of telly tonight again

friend of mine coming to take dd1 away for a play date tomorrow so will pack dh off with dd2 and have a little time with Dylan all to myself !!

Sounds as if you've got the new family dynamic nicely sorted dizzy! Enjoy tomorrow with Dylan, will be restful for you, I prescribe a day in bed with her and MN of course!

My brother is coming from London tomorrow, am v looking forward, think will roll into bed now as smaller DS snoring (quite loudly!) and you take your chances where you may.

Hello, nice shiney new thread, and calm at the moment in the LWFH household. Tom asleep and DH gone to Carrefour to buy sparkling water and no need for formula for over 24 hours now ... probably mostly just due to being home and relaxed. He'll be weighed on Monday so we can check then that everything is going in the right direction.

Congratulations on all the new babies, lovely news.

I never posted the birth story, but although it was pretty medical - epidural, augmentation of labour, stirrups, vacuum, episiotomy, forceps and at least 5 medical professionals present - the atmosphere at the end (9 hours after being admitted) was very calm and so finally a really positive start.

Buckets your posts encourage me that the post-episiotomy pain won't last for ever.

PS ate a whole packet of prunes today, but still pretty painful

VG and buckets am VERY impressed, after I had 10lb4 dd1 it took me weeks for some nookie and even that was to the romantic tune of getting pished and telling him to get it over with to make sure I wasn't broken beyond repair/ wasn't the size of the channel tunnel and before I changed my mind

LWFH forgive me if tmi but are you sore when going for a wee? I was told to turn round when peeing and 'straddle' the toilet and I could have kissed the person that told me that one!

I'm off the painkillers now, but was only ever given ibuprofen and paracetomol at the hospital, which seemed rather stingey. However, finding that my problem is my back. Therefore keeping to the sofa with a hot water bottle and refusing to budge unless there's a really, really good reason.

DD2 a complete pickle today, refusing to sleep for any more than 20 mins and only if on me. Hoping that this will make for a good night though....

I wonder actually was it the arnica that aided my healing? I took it religiously for the first week every few hours. Didn't have it last time.

Dizzy your Ismay will be bold upon next posting but still can't figure out why Sazzles is all STARS. OH WELL!!

Have completely lost it with DD1 this afternoon. She has become completely unruley, disrespective and I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!! The way she's acting goes far beyond tolerable. I realize a new person in the house is hard to handle BUT there's a point which a LINE MUST BE DRAWN. And she's clearly crossed it. The past 24 hours with her has been pure hell. Will be going over the childrearing threads later to see if I can uncover a solution.

Now off to prepare Reese's evening meals.

poppy I'm glad you've kept it. I think in the long run you will all be very happy about it xxx and I will stop mentioning it! Hot water bottle for me tonight too, even though am ROASTING at night, but have been recommended for wobbly inner thigh muscles (trans: weak as water inner thigh muscles).

TS mine is going through a very self important stage too but am having to remind myself she's lost her granny, had a new baby introduced, left the security of her beloved nursery and started school all in the space of a few weeks - well all that and her mother is an emotional mine field so am trying to cut her some slack

Don't dizzy and VG, I'm off to bed in a minute as well...absolutely shattered! And this despite a good few hours extra kip on the sofa this morning. Think my body is gearing up for something, this is the third night I've had backache and cramps and whatnot...still very mild and inconclusive though, so don't get your hopes up.

DH returned from work to find me at ropes end and sent me to bed. Have just pulled myself out from under the covers because I had to pee. All (or at least most) of the swelling in my legs was just dumped into the potty...seriously I didn't think I was ever going to stop peeing. Although the swelling is almost a thing of the past, I have loads of soreness in every joint in my entire body from my outing today. My tummy is down to a very small bump. Hard to believe I was the size of a barn five days ago.

DD1 woke from her mandiated nap with an apology to me for her behaviour earlier. We had a chat and I explained what priviledges she'd lost...to which she was like okay.

Reese just woke for DH after a 3 hour 15 minute nap. Guess that means she'll be up all night. BUT NOT FOR ME as she's DH's tonight.

Now back to sleep some more. Will be sending labour vibes to all those who need them. To all the rest, have a relaxing night.

Just had that weird pulsing pain in my back again. Only this time stronger than they were before. Let's hope this is a sign that eviction notices are being prepared!!
