Hello all,

I have beeen reading all your messages as often as I can but I'm sure some of you know what it is like with a 2 yr old. The computer is not something they like you to use on your own which makes messaging very difficult. I have now had my NHS and private nuchal scan which were both fine. Baby "waved" at dd in first scan which she was very impressed with and now has her own scan pictures which she shows everyone and keeps waving at my tummy. Very cute. As you can imagine in my hormonal state it brings a tear to my eye every time!!!

I will be 14 weeks tomorrow and time is definately going faster now I have told people in the real world!!

Jambers99 · 11/04/2008 10:37

Morning everyone. Scan was fine this morning, and due date confirmed as 30th October so looks like I'm destined to be at the end of the queue! I'm looking forward to telling more friends and family the good news now. I emailed my boss today to let him know - was going to tell him face to face yesterday but he cancelled our meeting, so email will have to do!

Bethoo, hope Hayden is still doing ok. My son had his MMR about 3 weeks ago and apart from some grumpiness (no change there!) and a bit of a rash he's been absolutely fine.

rosebury · 11/04/2008 10:53

Morning ladies not had a lot to say for the past couple of days everything is going well and belly growing all the time it is obvious to anyone that I am pregnant and I love it I stand fat and proud.

Ds returns to school on Monday after three weeks holiday I love him to bits but I will be glad to have some time to myself again and get the house back to normal instead of having to climb over Thomas the tanks blur train track with tunnels stations and bridges.

Runny eggs are yummy dh makes me a cooked breakfast every Sunday gone off the bacon and sausages but everything else is ok but runny egg and hash browns with brown sauce are essential.

Rowanmac will be thinking of you this weekend, good luck for Monday.

MrsTittleMouse · 11/04/2008 10:58

Just had my blood test results back and I'm "low risk". It is such a relief as I'm getting on a bit (). Having been desperate to tell everyone though, I'm now wavering! Somehow it seems lovely and romantic for us to have the pregnancy just for us for a while longer. Not that I have a choice in the matter, as Bump and my dreadful stomach muscles are telling everyone, even if I'm not.

sugr · 11/04/2008 11:50

Am going to have to give in any buy some more clothes as jeans are getting too tight. Am still just looking fat though rather than PG (although am sitting here eating coconut cake and chocolate icecream). Looking forward to getting a real bump

Lozza70 · 11/04/2008 13:13

rowan Fingers crossed for you on Monday.

I have developed a really nasty head cold and am at work feeling very sorry for myself. Woke DH at 4am sneezing which went down very well.

I think this will be the last weekend in my normal jeans and I will have to break out the maternity ones from Next. Having to sit very straight at my desk today

SmudgeyDoodle · 11/04/2008 14:03

Hi all. Lovely new thread CSWS. We've been housebound and bedbound this week as DS had a pukey bug which he then passed on to me. Luckily my Mum was able to come up for a few days as I just needed to sleep lots which Ds didn't understand once he was feeling better. Hope MMRs went ok. DS has got his on Tue. I've also got a date for my scan - 22nd April when I'll be 14 weeks. Haven't even seen a MW yet so I've been phoning the hospital checking that they'll still scan me even if they haven't got any paperwork. Glad everyone else's scans have gone well. I've felt so rotten the last few days that I don't know whether I still feel PG or not.

perkypopsy · 11/04/2008 14:47

Hey smudgey i think I have your bug have just been violently sick - was a relief for first few but then it kept coming even though nothing left howl howl
supposed to be going up to inlaws tonight but not sure i can face four hour drive (this is actually a quesy emoticon)
sugr i think i still look fat rather than "with child" but have caught colleagues sneaking a peak - to be fair unless i stand sideways in front of mirror in the nud I'm not sure what my profile looks ike anymore - am not able to get into my old keans though (yay) and get uncomfortable ifsitting scrunched up - found myself stroking my belly in a meeting thi sweek - hmm have to get on and tell all

perkypopsy · 11/04/2008 14:48

bloody hell the typing was terrible - sorry seem to have lost use of fingers

loulou33 · 11/04/2008 15:52

HI all,

Am on hold to insurers re: renewing house insurance and i feel like i've been stuck on the phone for days listening to soft jazz tunes - aaaaarrrggghhhh.

I too have head cold and can't hear properly out of one ear - like there's loads of water in it - very annoying!!

Oh stop moaning loulou....ooh woman's back on the phone to squeeze more money out of me - best go......

Sprogstersmum · 11/04/2008 19:51

Hello all! Might now post a little more often as nausea which has been stopping me doing anything that isn't essential to life is now easing! Yehhh! Also had cold last week and felt dreadful but is now on it's way out. Can't decide if I have a bump or am just fat - have had to buy bigger jeans though! Might fish out my maternity ones and see how they fit.

Hayden is fine with after his traumatic brush with two needles! the second booster has left a red mark on his leg but apart from that he seems ok. he has back teeth coming up so his poo is horrendous, needless to say i am dry retching whilst changing him!

went into town for the first time since being pregnant and boy did i get depressed! so many gorgeous clothes that i cannot purchase!! so treat myself to a yellow handbag (sounds awful but nice and summery!) and two pairs of glasses since mine are the wrong ones adn battered from child and cat chewing on the ear bit!

talking about looking like crap i also treat myself to some face masks as may as well start trying to defy age! the one i have just had on was like spreading strawberry hubba bubba on my face, smelt yummy! after my skin actually looked nice and even tone for the first time in years even though it was just a moisturising one. will do this every week as a little treat to myself.

ooh Criminal Mnds back on talk soon!!

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 11/04/2008 21:58

'hello everyone, can I join this thread? I'm due on the 12th October, kept a low profile after 2 MCs last year and a scare early on this pregnancy. Got a DD (2) already

rosebury · 11/04/2008 21:59

Evening ladies everyone around me appears to have a really awful cold and now you lot have started i only hope that I cannot carch it through the web waves.

myhob tell dh we are all tired especially mid afternoon i try my best to have a sleep it recharges the batteries lovely.

My ds almost 5yrs saw me getting into the bath he exclaimed oh mum you have a big belly it looks just like the moon or maybe venus, what could I say to that.

bethoo · 11/04/2008 22:00

welcome milf i will just refer to you asthat if that is ok as your name is rather long!!

oh and i also got through to O&G as it turned out i had been ringing the wrong number! my 20 week scan is on the 20 May seems like it is not that long to wait! amazing what a difference it makes having your 12 week scan at 13 weeks!!

rosebury · 11/04/2008 22:16

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/04/2008 07:19

Welcome mmmm. I hold you (almost) entirely responsible for the fact that I sometimes call dd monkey monkey moo moo. Where did you get the name from originally?

OP posts:
jenwa · 12/04/2008 08:16

cantsleepwontsleep,
Yes 1 DD (is that what you meant?)

All ok here, its def getting a busy thread!

Can I say I love peanut butter at the mo (always have) and snickers bars!!! Not sure if my bump is at all baby or just food fat!!! Seem to be eating loads and it is getting obvious I am squeezing out of my clothes! Need to purchase some new things although dont want to buy too much as have some stuff already! Def will need some comfy summer shoes, last time my feet puffed up and my sandles stretched!! Lovely.

Take care all
xxx

milfAKAmonkeymonkeymoomoo · 12/04/2008 08:45

Cantsleep - I have no idea, used to call DD that when she was a tiny baby so it seemed like an original MN name!

Hello to everyone else!

WombFor1More · 12/04/2008 09:47

Hello ladies,

Just wondering if I may join you here. I'm actually due on 29th Sept but all my others have been at least 6days late so banking on another October bubba. Already have 2 of those! ds1 is the 2nd and ds2 is the 19th. What a busy month that will be

Anyway I'm Gem, 26, have 3 lo's, ds 6, ds 4 and dd 8 months. Yes I'm mad

Have had a 9wk and 12wk scan. All seems ok. Have my 20wk on 20th May at 21wks Can't wait to see all is ok again and find out what colour bump is this time!

Feels like forever. I'll stop rambling on now. Hopefully be back soon xx

SmudgeyDoodle · 12/04/2008 10:35

Hi to MMMM (I opted for this one, hope that's ok!) and 1more. Glad all is ok so far for both of you.
I'm feeling better at last so fingers crossed you do too perkypopsy. Saying that, I'm feeling lots better after having cramps lots of yesterday so now worrying that things have gone wrong. I also seem to fit comfortably back in my trousers again after they were getting tight but that might just be because I haven't really eaten for 2 days. I haven't got my scan for another 10 days so think it's going to drag. HOpe you're not still on hold to insurers loulou!

emkay · 12/04/2008 14:55

Oh so tired in the afternoons myjob and at real risk of child neglect because once I'm on the sofa with eyes closed I really have no idea what DD is up to... and the quieter she is the more likely she's up to no good! My skin has also been terrible - just hanging out for the glowing phase to start at some point please!

I call my DD monkeymoo too when she is being mischievous so there's definitely something about that name!
