CSWS, thanks for the new thread! It's great to see this moving forward sooo fast. Cannot believe it. I am in Singapore now and really enjoying myself despite torrential rain and coolish weather (24-26 degrees...but I'm not compaining)

How are you? Is everything going well?

MrsTittlemouse, congrats on the good blood test! It's grin a bit more and no one really knows why...I guess my tummy is giving me away now though I did get the 'oh fat Westerner alert' look from locals here in Singers...

Alexa808 · 12/04/2008 18:28

sry wanted to say: it's nice to grin a bit more

hansnava · 13/04/2008 10:55

hello ladies
still got another ten days till scan 12 weeks scan when i will be 14 weeks {very frustrated} my friend is due two days before me and had hers two weeks ago.

still dont feel pg at all apart from sometimes feeling sick and being full to the brim with trapped wind [tmi].

to be perfectly honest im dreading my scan im so worried they r gonna tell me somethings wrong with baby [ie no heartbeat] its all i think about lately. im a nervous wreck it didnt help matters that midwife tried to find heartbeat when i was 11 weeks and couldnt but then went on to tell me that she was just trying to show off and they dont usually try to find it til 16weeks.

sorry to whinge

hope u all well

sambrads · 13/04/2008 11:30

hello ladies

i have not beeen on here for a while as have been flat out

welcome all new comers cant believe how many there is of us now
hansnava it is normal to feel like that sometimes i still feel like something is wrong with me and im 16 weeks !!!

have to see the midwife on 24 april for check up i will be near 18 weeks will she be checking for heart beat ???

i look fat at the moment but everyone saying god you look great maybe thats cause i got my hair done and actually have been using a bit of bronzer hahahaha

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 13/04/2008 11:47

Hi ladies

Hope you are all feeling well

I'm feeling alot better and less paranoid about the lack of feeling pg, i'm just feeling 'fat' now tbh

I got rid of all my maternity clothes after i had DS3, i'm quite looking forward to buying some new things

bethoo · 13/04/2008 11:59

hansnav - I know it is no consolation but when you do get your scan you will be able to see so much more. the pics will be so clear and detailed and then you will only have to wait 6 weeks til your 20 weeks scan! hth

i have been using my doppler every day jsut to make sure all is well and i can find the heartbeat really easily. i was looking in the wrong place before. the baby is still lying really low, if i place the doppler on my fanjo bone (not the real techno term! i can hear it loud and clear. so that is a relief.

had a shit day yesterday as my neighbour beat my dog so i have been advised to report the attack to the police. myu neighbours are horrible people.

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 13/04/2008 12:03

OMG bethoo!!

why would someone do that? what horrible people

how is your dog?

bethoo · 13/04/2008 12:17

long story sparkles but basically i had two boxers and the other god rest his soul was a bully with other dogs and liked to throw his weight around so i could cot walk them during the day in case of a scene. so when he passed away i got my confidence back in walking his brother who is good with other dogs. sadly due ot his brother he has to socialise and learn social skills all over again. i have already introduced him to 4 other dogs and there have no problems. even been off the lead with two of them and my friends jack russell beats mine up!
this is getting long! anyway i had him on the field yesterday and the neighbour bought his dog on which i had no seen, now when Zeus died i spoke to the lady owner and suggested we walk them together so they can be introduced in a controlled environment. but i just get the silent treatment and dirty looks. so i have tried to make peace but they are set in their ways and convinced my dogs are evil. so i am on the field about to go when thor spots the dog and runsover, noses touch and bits sniffed. anyway thor got excited and started barking and running round in circles which he does when over excited, i am across the field with a buggy so start walking over and next thing i see the man whipping my dog with the end of his extender lead and kicking my dog even though my dog is not actually touching his dog. i get over there having ran with my buggy and he is still wacking my dog. i shout to stop it and he almost hits me and Hayden who is sat in the buggy watching whilst eating his custart cream. i shout that my dog has heart disease and he could kill my dog. i just shout at thor to sit and he does so i put his lead on. this man is shouting abuse at me saying my dog is dangerous and was biting his dog. funnily enough he cant bite as one side of his mouth is out of use due to a larger growth on his gum so he can only eat wiht one side of his mouth so biting a larger dog is physically impossible. i would not let my dog off if he was like his brother. anyway he almost hit me and hayden so i have been advised to report it as he was using threatening behaviour, this couple have spread rumours about me and had it in for me since my other dog had a go at theirs though once again their dog was not even bitten. i know some may agree with what this man did but anyonw who knows dogs knows that you cannot change animal behaviour. some dogs are not destined to get along. but thor is not a bad dog and in his life has never bitten another dog or human!

HelenCS · 13/04/2008 12:21

Hello,

Im due October 4th (possible few days earlier) and just wondered if anyone haas found out the sex of their baby yet?

I have a private scan on tuesday, will be just about 16 weeks and they said they will take a 3d pic to see if they can tell me the sex.

Just wondered if anyone else knew yet?!

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 13/04/2008 12:30

Oh bethoo thats awful, there is no excuse for anyone to mistreat an animal

your neighbours don't sound like very nice people, i hope they don't cause too much trouble for you - its not like you can stay on the house with a boxer they are energetic dogs aren't they

Have you managed to report it yet or will you do that tomorrow?

DP wants to get a boxer but i'm not sure i could cope with 5 dc and a dog!!

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 13/04/2008 12:31

HelenCS i'm desperate to find out the sex but DP doesn't want to know, i'm going to work on convincing him though

bethoo · 13/04/2008 12:43

yes i will be contacting the mod police for advice tomorrow morning. you can see them on my profile. they are good with kids but from experience as soon as you get one teach it not to jump at people and stop them from pulling on the lead. when we got ours becasue they were small and cute we let them get away with pulling as they were easy to control iykwim but suddenly they were huge and powerful and still pulled. many a time i was heartbroken as i could not take them out but then i got the haltis and it has been a godsend ever since.

bethoo · 13/04/2008 12:44

sparkles tricky i will find out what this one is as i am topo impatient to wait! is your dh going to scan with you?

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 13/04/2008 12:55

yes he coming too, i was trying to figure out if i could slip the nusre a note asking her to 'acidentally' slip in the sex

we haven't found out with any of the others but i just want to know with this one, i think its because we have 1 DD and she is desperate for a sister and when we had DS3 she cried i want to prepare her i guess if its another boy. I don't mind at all but i know it will be hard on her with 4 brothers

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 13/04/2008 12:56

anyway i really must go and do some ironing before ds3 wakes from his nap

see you later x

SmudgeyDoodle · 13/04/2008 15:44

Sparkles I bet you have your hands full with 4. I somehow have convinced DH that it's his turn to do the ironing whilst DS has a nap. DH wants to watch car racing and I don't so I get to go on the computer - seems fair I think!
Welcome Helen. Is it your first baby? We didn't find out with DS and we won't be this time round. As someone else said earlier in the thread, I can understand why people do but it's just not for us.
Bethoo sounds like your neighbours are not wanting to try and get along. It's hard when people do that as you always seem to be bumping into them. Hope things go alright with the police.
Hansnava, I'm exactly the same as you and also think that something has gone wrong. I even worked out at 4.30 this morning what wording I would put in a text to the people that I've told to say that there was no heartbeat I hate the wee hours of the morning because i always seem to be lying awake and worrying. Anyone else have that?

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 13/04/2008 15:46

smudgy yes i also have those thoughts too, you are not alone

fingers crossed for us all x

NO you're definitely not alone. I'm sure when I'm 32 weeks I will think 'how could i ever have wanted to be this big and cumbersome' but at the moment all I want is a huge, obvious pregnancy where the baby kicks every 30 seconds so I can tell everything's ok. At the moment I'm just like everyone else - don't feel pregnant, just fat, and wish I had my own ultrasound machine plus sonographer in the spare room which I could pop into every half an hour or so.

And also after the last GP appointment I managed to book my second one for next Weds which I've now had to cancel as I'm at a trade fair which I forgot about and now I can't get another one for three weeks! Bah!

Flum · 14/04/2008 02:24

Hi all

Long time no post. having a nuchal fold scan on Tuesday privately as they don't do them here and am 35 now so want to know if something is likely to be up.

Did have booking in appt at home with midwife on Thursday, it was lovely as she was there when my youngest DD was born, so made me so so excited to be having another babe.

Also she had a go with her little heart listener thingy and found a heart bit. I was chuffed about that as my great friend who was a very bit ahead of me and due in October went for her Nuchal scan and there was no heartbeat. So very , very upsetting for them.

My eldest DD who is 4 is very keen on baby too, likes to lie on my tummy to keep it warm and tells people in shops that Mummy has a teeny, tiny, teeny, weeny baby the size of a prawn in her tummy. No secrets round here!!!

Good luck to all, am enjoying reading lots of the messages, sorry lots of you worrying so much. Remember 99% of all babies born are completely fine, and most of th 1% have something minor. Its great odds, it really is.

Flum · 14/04/2008 02:25

Very tired too. This week DH away skiing so have been putting the baby to bed in afternoon and older one in front of telly and going for afternoon kip from 1.30 - 3pm. Older one can't believe her luck with an hour and a half un interupted telly.

Better go to bed now though....... afternoon naps don't quite replace the night!

Flum · 14/04/2008 02:28

of course I meant heart beat not bit - dop, overtired.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/04/2008 08:28

Morning ladies. Not a lot to report here, but just popping in to say hello.

Dd's first day at nursery school this afternoon, so focusing on her at the moment.

HelenCS - there is one lady who knows the sex of her baby already, but from CVS rather than scan.

sambrads · 14/04/2008 08:36

oh my god bethoo that is terrible i have a jack russel and he is part of the family and i would kill anyone who thought they could hit him !!!!

make sure you go to the police as your neighbours are big bullies who think they can intimidate you

you should get another dog that would really piss them off hahaha

have woke up this morning with pains in my bely and feeling sick hopefully its nothing but it might be a bug???

can i ask a question??

if you go to your 12 weeks scan and everything is ok whtas the chances of things going wrong between it and your 22 weeks scan ????

i am a bit worried as i have been so sick in the first 12 weeks and they say its important to take folic acid the days i took it i threw it up and i also forgot to take it some days should i be worried????

bethoo · 14/04/2008 08:37

morning everyone. cant stay on long as small boy wants to put sticky fingers all over keyboard.
well just rang mod police and he will pop over to see the neighbours. no d64bt they will portray my dog as some rabid dog!
now off to check heart beat.
