Scampmum · 09/04/2008 08:51

Morning all!

Congrats Sheds!

Peachy, you poor thing, glad it all seems OK but must have been a horrifically worrying time. Thank goodness for the childcare!

M2B2BR - any news?

paranoidmummy · 09/04/2008 09:03

peachy, that sounds very scary, i'm glad he's home with you now. hopefully it was just the hosp being over-cautious which is always nice to know anyway. lots of love to you and family.

do u think it may be possible for me to have a baby soon?! by my nhs scan i am only 3 days over but i am now 12 days overdue by my private scan dates. that's just a ridiculous amount of time. is anyone else finding it hard to fill their days?? i can't even drive anymore cos of my bump! i have to have my frigging seat so far back i can't reach the titting pedals... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

congrats sheds and to all else who have had their babies. i am v v envious

is thepfj back yet?

northeastmummy · 09/04/2008 09:06

Congratulations Sheds - can't wait to hear how things are going with Henry Peter. Scary story Peachy - I hope Sebastian's home now and you're settling back in. It just seems like there's never a point we can go phew, and relax.

Starting to worry about PFJ a bit. When did she last post? It feels like it was days and days ago? I'm sure it's all fine and she's just getting into the swing of things.

paranoidmummy · 09/04/2008 09:10

ps. if vs is here, you were in my dream last night and have your baby today! wonder if it comes true! keeping my fingers crossed!

Scampmum · 09/04/2008 09:14

NEM - I remember getting to 12 weeks pg with DD and saying to my mum "I can stop worrying now, can't I?" and she said "Sorry, darling, I'm afraid you'll be worrying for the rest of your life!". Too true... but worth every second.

PortAndLemon · 09/04/2008 09:15

Congratulations Sheds! And Peachy, that sounds very scary. I hope it turns out to be "just" a murmur.

Scampmum · 09/04/2008 09:16

Oh, and I dreamt about PFJ too last night! Maybe emergency CS and in for a few days?

TLSM · 09/04/2008 09:20

Oh Peachy the poor little thing you pray they will be ok the nine months you carry them then you pray the labour will be ok it never stops does it Its good they spotted it early on though!

Well done Sheds!

It was early Sunday Morning PFJ was on last so could quite easily have been in labour all day Sunday then a stay in hospital as its her first I am sure she is fine

Denny185 · 09/04/2008 09:22

Congrats sheds, thought you'd gone quiet hope your all ok and didnt have too rough a time through to the section.

Peachy it nevers rains but bloody pours for you, glad Sebastian seems to be ok now, hope your all home again and life settling down.

chipmonkey · 09/04/2008 09:24

Morning all! Just popping on for a minute as have to bring my car to get looked at. It failed it's NCT, the garage I usually bring it to are inclined to charge a fortune and I don't want to put lots of money into it as we have to change it when baby's born anyway, too small for 4 kids!

PortAndLemon · 09/04/2008 09:25

NCT clases for cars?

AussieDivaOnABreak · 09/04/2008 09:39

Morning everyone - congrats to Sheds!

Peachy - I wish you all the best with Sebastian, that must have been so terrifying for you. Sending lots of happy baby vibes to you. x

PFJ had better get back on here soon - I've been thinking about her loads and really hope she's ok.

I had lots of contractions last night but nothing that stuck. More show this morning. Officially 39 weeks today so surely it's got to happen soon! I've been taking EPO religiously now since the weekend so maybe that's helping...not seeing my MW until next Thursday when I'll be one day overdue and then she'll do me a cheeky early sweep. But PLEASE let it happen sooner!

Any ideas of what to do today with a bored (almost) 4 year old???? That doesn't involve too much activity on my part?

moominsmummy · 09/04/2008 09:51

aussie - do you know anyone else in your area with similar aged child? if so get together for a play date - the kids will entertain each other (even if they bicker all the time) and you can have coffee and chat with other parent/carer

DS has a hospital appointment in Manchester today so rather than go by car we are getting train into town (big excitement) and going on the manchester wheel (hope he's not too scared) - then off to the hospital

I will be totally knackered by home time! am taking the buggy though - he'll walk alot of it but there's no way I'm carrying a 3.5yr old across Manchester when my belly is this big!

AussieDivaOnABreak · 09/04/2008 09:56

Wow take it easy Moomins! Good to hear you have an action packed day ahead tho, definitely helps to take the mind off things.

I do have friends nearby - lots are away on hols at the mo tho. I do have something planned for Friday morning too should things not have happened by then.

sagitta · 09/04/2008 09:59

Congratulations Sheds! Let us know what happened when you have the time!
And sorry to hear you've had such a scary time Peachy, I hope you are all at home and OK now.
I wonder if Mum2b2roo is OK?
Scorpio - what does teasy mean?

VictorianSqualor · 09/04/2008 10:03

LOL, Everyone keeps dreaming about me having this baby but it ain't bloody coming!

Congrats Sheds

Well, we only have three girls, whose next for a little lady? Scorpio?

northeastmummy · 09/04/2008 10:04

Moomins you are amazing. I don't know how you do it! And you're so matter of fact about everything. I'm in awe of you.

I've just had a phone call from work - they don't have my MatB1 form. I completely forgot about it and noone ever gave me it!! Rubbish ...

northeastmummy · 09/04/2008 10:06

I was wondering that too sagitta - what is teasy?

TheMaskedPoster · 09/04/2008 10:07

Congrats Sheds! xx

Oh Peachy - hope Sebastian is home now, how scary for you.

Meant to say thanks VS for the email and lovely names bunyan .

Wonder who will be next?

May put more piccys of DD2 on profile - am so smitten it's incredible!!! DD1 is being ever so good too - long may it continue

AND the 'after bleeding' (lochia - is that what it is called??) has very very nearly ended! Hoo-bloody-rah!!

HV coming today (apparently) too.

scorpio1 · 09/04/2008 10:39

SHEDS

Update: bleeding has stopped, MW can only feel Millie's shoulders her head is that far down, lol! BP was a little high today, but OK. She said anymore bleeding and i have to go in for monitoring.

Teasy - am i spelling it wrong? Moody, ratty, etc etc... Am better today though, had full nights sleep.

Feel very heavy today and like tummy is stirring or something.

VS - i would LOVE to be next!!

Mollyfloss · 09/04/2008 10:42

Congrats Sheds!

That's very scary Peachy. I also know of LO's that have had heart murmurs and they have simply gone away.

Jennie: Sorry about your feet. Mine swelled up big time last week. They've gone back down now. Cold water, flight socks and swimming helps but I guess you already know that. It's a good thing it's not the month of August!

HA ha to NCT. It's the Irish test to make sure your car is roadworthy (National car test). When I told my Mum about my NCT classes - what has a car test got to do with babies!

Mollyfloss · 09/04/2008 10:46

Last night I had DH check out my belly and he noticed the beginnings of stretch marks! Bugger bugger bugger!!! There was nothing there a couple of days ago. Why now at 39+3? I'm still in denial. They are just a couple of marks that look a bit veiny (a sort of blue/purple/red colour). They are quite low and I can't see down there without a mirror. They will go away won't they?

scorpio1 · 09/04/2008 10:47

lol Molly....they will fade to silvery.

Mollyfloss · 09/04/2008 10:52

And it was just after I had seen 'how to look good naked' with all the women with the horrific stretch marks. Serves me right for gasping in horror!
