Good plan Welshmum.

Sophmum · 09/11/2004 15:10

Put this on both threads
Mrs Wednesday - sorry it happened to you. Did you lose it naturally or have d + c? I'm finding the worst thing is waiting, whilst still feeling and looking pg - I'm even in maternity clothes as my tummy's so big. Also, if you don't mind me asking, what did you do when you started to bleed? My GP said "observe" if it's light but I'll need to see someone at some point. I'm worried every time I go to the loo in case it's started.

Also, did you have pg symptoms all the way through? When I spoke to GP this morning he thought it a bit odd and said that the symptoms should have stopped when the pregnancy became inactive.

teabelly · 09/11/2004 15:11

me too...

welshmum - would a tuesday be better for you?
scraggy - when would your next tuesday up here be?
sophmum - I had an early scan this time (as I've had previous ectopics) and at 7weeks they couldn't find the heartbeat on the normal scan, they had to do an internal scan to find it.

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 15:15

crikey - I go away to do a bit of revising and you l ot go mad!!!!

Thread 2 already!!! How many do you think we'l have before we all start popping??? I guess about 1 a month!?!?!

Sophmum - so sorry to hear what your going through. Fingers crossed for you - I hope it all works out for the best.

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 15:16

p.s.

I'm just having a revision break to eat my cream cake!!!

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 15:20

God, now I feel sick!!!!!!

That'll teach me - I must learn NOT to over indudge!!!!!

MrsWednesday · 09/11/2004 15:21

(posted this on old thread too, sorry)

If I'm honest Sophmum, I don't think I had many symptoms all the way through. I started off feeling very sick but it stopped suddenly at about 7 weeks, never had sore boobs, only felt slightly tired. Which sounds very different from your situation doesn't it? Is there any possibility your dates could be out?

teabelly · 09/11/2004 15:24

ooh cream cakes - you naughty girl! (I only say that coz I don't like cream...now if it had been chocolate cake that's another matter!!)

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 15:34

Tues 23rd suit anyone?

teabelly · 09/11/2004 15:34

that's fine for me...welshmum?

charleypops · 09/11/2004 15:42

HELLLOOOOO!!!!!

Hi Everyone! I've been keeping an eye on the old June thread for a couple of weeks and have been dying to say hello, but not been able to because my computer couldn't handle such a BIG POPULAR PAGE! I've met a few of you already (including MrsW and Welshmum) on other threads though and hope to be able to share experiences with you all over the next 7 months or so. I've already found the people here extremely supportive and informative.

Poor you Sophmum, the waiting must be horrible and I hope very much you get good news at your next scan.

My eta is 16th June. It will be my very first baby.

teabelly · 09/11/2004 15:44

charleypops, welcome, glad you could finally load us up!

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 15:44

Welcome Charleypops!

MrsWednesday · 09/11/2004 15:49

Hello again Charleypops! Be prepared to talk enormous amounts about food and farts....

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 15:51

Hey, does anyone know where to buy some NICE underwear?? I've managed to get one bra and knicker set from Mothercare (which I hate going to as they've cornered the market).

teabelly · 09/11/2004 15:53

scraggy didn't elle mcphereson design some maternity lingerie?? wouldn't know where to find it though so I'm not much help am I!!

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 15:59

Yes, Elle does black and purple sets. I spose it's ok, but then that'll just give me 3 sets!!

charleypops · 09/11/2004 16:03

I appear to have stopped blowing off after about 3 weeks of it. Luckily I have a dog(!)

As for food, the only thing I've been able to eat today so far has been a bowl of beetroot chopped up in some cottage cheese. I've not been feeling sick at all really compared to some of you, just off my food. I'm feeling hungry now though and have no idea what I'm going to do about it.

Got a doctor's appt at 5 today to try and change Hospitals so I need my strength. I think I'll have a go at a couple of rice cakes.

Are most people needing new underwear and clothes already? I think I've lost a bit of weight so still in my old ones.

MrsWednesday · 09/11/2004 16:16

I'm wearing all the stuff I bought after I had DS, before I lost most of my baby weight. And hipster trousers with long shirts. As for underwear - I'm still struggling on with the my usual stuff, which might explain why my boobs are so sore.

Would you be able to stomach a slice of dry bread or something like that Charleypops?

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 16:17

Charleypops, you need to make sure you're eating well. How about a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes? Or an apple?

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 16:19

My boobs are terribly sore - hence the request for underwear info. However, I have bought some vests with hidden support which I wear to bed, so boobs aren't sore at night, therefore less sore in the day.

Uwila · 09/11/2004 16:25

HIya Charley. Glad you made it. My last bit of advice before you go see doc. Don't ask if you can go to another hospital. Tell him full stop you are NOT going to St. Peters and where can he get you in. If he says "I'm afraid you don't have a choice", you can always change your GP. Definitely ask about Guildford. Kingston and West Mid are already way overprescribed and hence about impossible to get into. You might have to be willing to go to London (like me).

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Remember that this is your pregnancy, not your GPs and you deserve to choose where you go (although be prepared that you may need to be flexible)

Hope to see you on here later.... I'll be back around 9:00.

sweetheart · 09/11/2004 16:32

Hi Charleypops and welcome.

Judging my Uwila's post you must be fairly close to me. I'm about a 30 min drive out of Guildford. I haven't heard of St Peters though so I'm guessing your the other side of Guildford to me?!?!?!?!

Scraggyaggy · 09/11/2004 17:23

Am off everyone / anyone! Hope you all have a nice evening. I'm about to have a mad shop in Tesco's for all the lovely food we have been discussing today!

"Speak" to you soon x

Tessiebear · 09/11/2004 17:30

Sophmum -am so sorry to hear about your news ((((((hugs)))))))) I know that the wait will be awful - still having symptoms is surely s good sign?
Welcome Charleypops
I am really about your meet-up - i was only thinking the other day how most of us are going through all this together and may never "meet". I live in south-East kent - so not much chance of me making it to London midweek - but not totally out of the question for another time!
Am feeling so happy atm - my sickness seems to be gone for the moment (hopefully the whole evening - i expect not) Better make the most of it
