I had a feeling that thread wouldn't last until the end - not that anyone chats much or anything good call RGPargy

RGPargy · 02/11/2007 20:02

Hi everyone.

Well, me and DS ended up doing three tip runs with crap from the garden, stuff we chucked out of the baby's room, garden fencing etc etc. Ugh, it was horrible. Thankfully i just supervised, but DS was a treasure with all the humping, bless him. It was all chucked outside the side of the house and looked like a bloody tip in itself! Now the side of the house looks lovely and tidy again. Yay!

Lizzie - have a lovely day on Sunday and take the opportunity to eat lots of cake!

My hair normally costs around £80 and yes, it's normally every 6-8 weeks that it needs doing which can work out expensive.

Aiki - your picture is amazing!!!!! Shame the party was full of stoners tho.

Choudru - Shaun from Stenders?? I can see where you are but just wouldn't go there myself, personally lol. Double Deckers on the other hand..... mmmmm.......

LOM - glad your results were clear!! Yay!!

FCH - digging DH in the ribs to make tea is acceptable whilst he's on leave. I might even try that with DP. When he goes back to work tho i'll be creeping around so as not to wake him up.

Sparkly - yay!!! fantastic news on Callum's weight! He'll be a right bruiser in no time!

Hi Revel! Glad you can re-join us! If you dont like the look of the new board, somewhere at the top of your page you should see a "customise board" link where you can change it back to "mumsnet classic".

Kezjoben - you were on the list already but under 7th November i think. I've updated the list for you tho. Welcome back!

hi ladies. I'm home even though my haemaglobin was low again. dd2 is fine, sleeping a lot but scoffing milk to stock up before she does

RGPargy · 02/11/2007 20:08

Welcome home Pixie!

Have you recovered from the birth? Have you put your birth story up yet in birth announcements?

Cant wait to see a pic of DD2!!!

Congratulations Pixie and Anna.

Have just spent AGES catching up so I'l be v. brief.

RG - In this 1-to-1 scheme they have a number of pools for loaning out so all you have to do is request one early enough and... hey presto! It's a BPINB pool so I'm happy about that.

Not so happy that at 38+5 I'm measuring 41/42 so have to go for scan on Monday. I'm taking it in my stride though as I'm sure it's just (another) blip.

Good vibes to all who are about to go into labour.

BIG well done to you Choudru. The full 40 weeks eh? Atta girl!

Aiki - Amazing costume! You look fab!

Right! I'm off to see if I can coax DP to go out and buy me some chocolate before the tudors!

Pixiefish · 02/11/2007 21:32

congrats Anna xx

have put a pic on my profile

JARM · 02/11/2007 22:05

YAY!

Hi girls!!! xxx

RGPargy · 02/11/2007 22:10

Easy - Your 1-to-1 scheme sounds good! Certainly saves alot of cash! Sorry you're measuring a bit big. I think it's just standard that you're measured if you're more than 3cm bigger than your weekage tho. I really wouldn't worry too much, i'm sure it's nothing. Chin up!

Pixie - awwwwwww your daughter is lovely!!! Much baby stalking is going to be going on in this thread now! I bet you're over the moon with a permanent grin on your face! xxx

Jarm - yoo-hoo!!

hi ladies

Just a quick post to let you know that my ECV today was a success although very uncomfortable. Apparently I handled it very well and although felt quite shaky afterwards for a while am now feeling alot more comfortable without baby's head jammed between my ribs, baby didn't get distressed at all and was very active throughout the procedure, very glad it's over and was successful.
Congrats to those who have already given birth, hopefully it wont be long for me now, just want him out....
Muckers
Thanks to those who sent good luck wishes, much appreciated.

RGPargy · 02/11/2007 22:16

Oh yay Muckers!!!! Fantastic news!!!!

OP posts:
silkcushion · 02/11/2007 23:35

Hello all adding myself to this thread (good idea RG).

Pixie she is lovely - what's she called?

Muckers congrats on the ecv working - I guess you must be v relieved.

jetgirl · 02/11/2007 23:37

Pixie - she is beautiful!

Sparkly - that's brilliant news about Callum.

kezjoben - sorry, it was my fault you were put in the wrong place on the list, I didn't do the maths right when you wrote how many weeks you were (I never was one for numbers, I can't even blame it on being pregnant

FCH - DH was brilliant last time round when I had the night feeds to do, he always got DD out of the cot, and burped her afterwards - he was told to at our antenatal classes, so he did! So obedient Fortunately DD started sleeping through after about 6 weeks, so it wasn't too horrific for him.

muckers - glad the ECV went well. They don't tend to offer them here as the mw said the success rate wasn't worth it , pleased you were able to have it, maybe baby will get the hint and decide to put in an appearance now

Easy - hope the scan goes well on Monday x

RG - working things out on a cost per wear basis is the way to go, that way you can always justify things like nice haircuts, lovely boots, gorgeous winter coats etc!

DH reckons we are going to be without the computer for at least a week I asked him to wait until after our LO arrived, but he wants the graphics card sorted now (only so he can play his computer games) so there'll be loads of babies born while I can't mumsnet and I'll have loads of catching up to do. So good luck to all of you due this week, I'll be thinking of you, and to the rest of you to in case we have any more early arrivals

ELB1 · 03/11/2007 07:36

Hello all,

I might be a way for a bit. I woke up early this morning to find I had "leaked" on the way to the loo - sorry for tmi. Then had a slight show - teensy bit of blood and some more watery stuff so have phoned the MW who has asked me to keep an eye for the next hour of what comes out and they will decide whether I need to go in.

I'm having some cramps too but not too bad - although I know this could just be an early sign and could go on for days yet - I just thought I'd let you know where I'm at in case they tell me my waters have actually broken and I need to go in.

Quite excited really - and LO is jumping around a lot! My DH came home with a birth ball last night and I bounced around on that for a while - wonder if that shook things up?

JARM · 03/11/2007 07:52

oooh keep us posted Elb! (although i will be very if this is the start!!)

Any news silk???

Pixiefish · 03/11/2007 08:19

details on my blog here of her name etc

ChocolateHobnob · 03/11/2007 09:40

Hi all

Pixie - she's gorgeous!!!! Your family looks so beautiful together!

ELB, how exciting - I'm . Keep us posted!

Easy, good luck with the scan. I think these measurements are always a bit iffy anyway so I'm sure it's all absolutely fine.

Muckers, well done for the ECV and brilliant that it worked! It sounds like such a scary procedure. Clever lo to have coped with it so well too!

Jetgirl, your DH sounds great. I'm sure mine will be too - he's dying to be a daddy.

Well I'm 40+3 today and no sign of any action. Another day of self-pampering and shopping is in order methinks!
Take care all of you and hugs to ELB and Silk for imminent action!

silkcushion · 03/11/2007 11:23

Pixie - what a fab name. I think it's nice to pick a welsh name for her and one that means something is even nicer.

Still nothing happened here. Woken throughout the night with contractions but every time they eased off I managed to go back to sleep! HAd more of a show about 1/2 hour ago.

Reflexology was interesting. Painful though - the tender bits apparently related to my uterus and female hormone acupuncture points. She said that was a good sign that they were all working v hard (not bloody hard enough imo). Really wish they hadn't set my expectations up at the appointment on Thursday.

Still in bed at the moment trying to shake off this filthy cold - can't be bothered to go for long walks etc - haven't got the energy.

Take care everyone and I am waiting with baited breath for our next baby!

RGPargy · 03/11/2007 11:27

Morning ladies

Woke up this morning with a little niggling sharp pain in the left side of my lower abdomen, just above my lady garden. I dont think it's the start of anything tho, unfortunately. More like a pain you get when you're busting for a wee and your bladder starts to hurt. I'm sure it's nothing tho. It's gone now lol.

Silk - how are you getting on today? Any action?

Jet - bless your DH! He sounds like a real star!! Not sure i'd be too keen on being without a computer for a WEEK tho! We are lucky enough to have 3 laptops and one pc here so if one breaks, we have loads of back ups lol.

ELB - keep us posted! How exciting!!

Pixie - Swyn looks gorgeous and your family is lovely!!

Choc - I think a day of self pampering and shopping sounds like just what the doctor ordered!! Get some cake inside you too. That's always a good cure for feeling a bit fed up.

Haven't got alot planned for today. DP is working AGAIN today, poor thing. Still, at least this weekend he's not working tomorrow, but no doubt he'll be flat out again on the baby's room. Bless, i think he's really starting to miss his lie-ins.

Have a nice day all!

RG - Resident techno-genius - thanks for the new thread. I couldn't believe there were only about 5 new posts on the old one until I saw yours Sound like your DS has been a real sweetie and great news you have got such a horrid job out of the way!

SGK - brilliant news on Callum's weight - it must be a real relief!

Pixie - what a beautiful baby - I am coming over all hormonal at the picture - I want one!!! (come on baby!)

Muckers - such good news about the baby turning - well done!

Jetgirl - I can't decide if your DH is brilliant for mucking in with the night feeds as instructed, or a monster of callousness for failing to realise that now is a TERRIBLE time for you to be deprived of mumsnet

ELB - Oooh - how exciting - sounds like there might be another November baby on the way. Can't wait to hear...

Silk - fingers crossed for some more progress. It must be coming soon...

Choc - you and me both... Off to meet a friend for lunch and some retail therapy

fiona76 · 03/11/2007 12:54

Hi all. We visited the hospital this morning for a tour of the delivery and post natal wards. It was a little depressing to be honest but never mind. Then we went a bought a beautiful wooden rocking chair for the nursery. Just lovely. Going to an Active birthing class this afternoon so hopfully that will be good then I'm ready for the baby to come. Getting quite uncomfortable now so want the baby otherwise might need to moan excessively.

I'm very at all the babies on the thread.

ELB1 · 03/11/2007 13:59

Hi all,

Thanks for the happy thoughts. I am definitely on the way to having this LO. The hospital checked me out this morning and my waters had broken - have been leaking constantly ever since. They sent me home to see if labour progresses by itself (contractions are now coming evry 20 - 30 mins) and have given me until Monday morning when I have to go in to be induced if I haven't had the baby by then.

I'll either be back when I'm bored stoopid as things aren't progressing and I can't sleep - or when I'm a Mummy!

silkcushion · 03/11/2007 14:04

oooh how exciting ELB. When were you due?. We're going to have another thread baby by monday. I'm such a saddo - I'm starting to think of all these babies as ours!!!!

DO they think you'll contract every 20/30 mins all weekend???

JARM · 03/11/2007 14:12

ELB!!! Cant wait for the news! Cant believe you arent due until the 19th! Talk about jumping the line!

Must be my turn soon!!

RGPargy · 03/11/2007 14:22

Yay!! Good luck ELB!!!!! Very of you!!!!
