Hello Suey

suey2 · 16/10/2007 17:34

Anyway, hope you ladies have a nice evening. I'm off home to do my RHS course homework and spend a quiet evening with DH. He's making a quiche mmmm.

Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep tonight!

Wizzska · 16/10/2007 17:36

Oh no, now we've got MM back are we going to have to worry about Neuro?

fifisworld · 16/10/2007 17:36

Hello
Im trying to gather up the energy to get off the sofa and get ready, ive got to go food shopping and i really cant be bothered.

Wizzska · 16/10/2007 17:39

Hi Fifi - Me trying to get off the sofa now often resembles an upside-down not quite dead yet beetle - arms and legs flailing. That's if I've reclined myself anyway.

suey2 · 16/10/2007 17:44

I am hanging around at work doing admin- meeting an old friend for drinks, but really fancy sloping off home to the spag bol i cooked yesterday!

Im like that trying to get out of bed, or even turn around in bed.
Dp thinks it hilarious to stand and watch me trying to get up without offering to help, it takes ages.

suey2 · 16/10/2007 17:50

mine, too. I hate it when you get it wrong and pull a stomach muscle. Or junior times a well placed kick witht the attempt to get up!

Hi ladies, just wondering if I can (re)-join you all? Was on the December thread way back in April when we were getting our BFPs but ended up in hospital at 8 weeks with hyperemisis so wasn't well enough for mumsnet (sad). Sickness finished at 23 weeks (I wasn't in hospital all that timee thank goodness) and now I'm finally trying to get back into the swing of things and realise how much I miss mumsnet and especially you ante-natal ladies

I remember quite a few of you so I hope you don't mind me coming back? I'm due 10th December and was 32 weeks yesterday....where has the time gone!

Lizzer · 16/10/2007 17:59

Hellooo there! Found you, knew there was a reason why came on mn just this minute

Speaking of muscle pulling, advice to all - don't go OTT with the paintbrush and decorating stuff as I ended up in the labour ward being checked out on Sat, was in agony front to back right through my ribs, didn't know what was going on! However it was a really surreal experience as the midwife who checked me out on Sat was the same midwife who delivered dd 8 YRS AGO!!!! What are the chances of that? She obviously didn't remember me but she dug out her notes and read through them, re-living all the gruesome details and wonderfulness of dd's birth. It was soooo weird, but took my mind off the pain. The long and short of it was I'd pulled a muscle and the decorating had to stop!! Which is easier said than done as its only 2 weeks til we move into the new house. ARGH!!! Sorry for the ramble..

Anyone else doubled in size this week?! I've put on 4 pounds in 3 days??!!!!!!!

Lizzer · 16/10/2007 18:01

Hey furryfox, hello again- 10th Dec makes us time twins..wonder who'll be first??!

Sorry you've had such a bad time your early pg..Glad you're feeling better now

Lizzer · 16/10/2007 18:03

Wizzska,suey2, am I imagining it or did neuro say she was going somewhere for a few days??? Probably my pg brain getting confused, hope she's ok...

FurryFox · 16/10/2007 18:05

Hi Lizzer! Well as DD was two weeks late I'll put my money on you being first! Not that I won't be doing everything I can to get this one out a bit sooner than DD

suey2 · 16/10/2007 18:07

oo no, you are probably right.
Everyone has been saying this week that i have suddenly become huge. (due 6th, or 10th, or 12th depending who you believe) Certainly feel very taught and bump very hard.
hello furryfox

Saw Neuro today on the due in Jan thread.

Talking about missing people no Skid today or becklespeckle.

Hello Furryfox

Lizzer · 16/10/2007 18:16

Thus blowing away my theory, amani!

Furryfox my dd was 2 wks late also - so I think we're evens, game on

Yeah Suey2, hard bump here too - much better than the lardy version I was sporting over september

Amani · 16/10/2007 18:18

Feel a bit like a teacher taking a register of attendence ....

Lizzer · 16/10/2007 18:22

Yes Miss

insywinsyspider · 16/10/2007 19:47

hello furryfox - wondered where you'd gone, we were on the TTC thread at the same time too glad to hear pg is getting better, nightmare start, how did you manage with dd? and weren't you having building work done??

lizzer - sorry to hear that you ended up in hospital, did you get decorating finished? not sure about weight gain I banished the bathroom scales to the airing cupboard as soon as I found out I was pg - am huge tho... think lo had a growth spurt

Housemum · 16/10/2007 20:25

Talking of weighing, I found my old diary from the year DD2 ws born - so could compare what weight I was when she was a week old! I'm 4lb heavier now than I was when DD was a week old, so on that reckoning, if I put on a pound a week I should be OK as in no heavier than last time - my worst fear is putting on more weight with each baby! After DD1 I got back down to a size 12 but it was hard work (crept up a bit after a couple of years but a divorce helped me lose shedloads!!) but the weight crept back on and after DD2 I was pretty much top end size 14.

I'm a sad muppet - I have the "What to expect" book which tells you how much weight you should put on each trimester - I plotted this on squared paper and colour in a bar each week to see if I'm on course (I am).

Must stop rabbitting - I have a pile of cheques that need signing from last week's NCT sale - now the post is back to normal I can risk sending them out to the sellers (I made £50 - yay!)

FurryFox · 16/10/2007 20:26

Thanks for the welcome back girls

insy - Yes I remember being on the ttc thread together, many months ago! Hows ds? We were having a conservatory built in Feb/March time - you have a good memory! It was hard with dd the first few months while I was ill. Luckily DH and Mum mananged to take quite a bit of time off work to help out

becklespookle · 16/10/2007 20:35

Hi all, nice to be missed Amani!

Hi and welcome back Furryfox, I remember you! Sorry you have had such a rubbish time with sickness earlier in your pregnancy, glad you are feeling better and back with us now though!

Had another mega-busy day today with work stuff so had no time to post. Been quite uncomfy today, baby fairly quiet but also definitely breech so my bladder has been kicked and squashed all day. I have noticed that when baby is feet down I get a lot of lower back ache. LO seems to still have a lot of room in there as s/he changes position every few days! Feel like such a winger, feet have started swelling too (didn't get this with the DSs) and my work shoes are now too tight , going to have to wear my boots which have heels - thank goodness it's only 2 evenings a week! Got the week after next as holiday from evening job and can't wait for a rest!
Anyway, sorry to winge, hope everyone else is okay!
Bec x

becklespookle · 16/10/2007 20:47

Another Grr from me...
Tried to book an AN appt for next week and there are no appts free!!! So had to book my 31 week appt for 32 weeks instead, just hope they don't dare tell me off for being a week late!

Sorry guys, will try and be more cheerful tomorrow...

buzzybee · 17/10/2007 05:46

Thanks for starting a new thread Suey!
Beanster - probably getting ahead of myself a bit yet - possible fluid levels will subside a bit - or if the baby's head engages then the risk of cord prolapse goes away. From what I can understand its a balancing game between leaving LO "inside" for as long as poss and/or hoping she'll engage - and the possibility of the waters breaking when she's not engaged and having emergency dash to hospital.

Treated myself to a back and shoulder massage today - very nice. Think I might get the eyelash tint done before LO is born - anything to make life easieer! Also tried at the local hairdresser on Monday and was OK (and half the cost of my regular trendy one near my work) so will go back there while I'm on leave - walking distance from my house.

Friends dropped by with a highchair last night - the spare room is getting quite cluttered with stuff.

Lizzer - no plans by me to do painting!! Baby will just have to survive with bland walls - might get some of those removable stickers
