For want of a better title, I'll go with Inzi's

Well then, today has all been a bit of a blur for me so far. Dropped ds off at nursery, then went to see mw at 10.30, she did a sweep (wasn't that uncomfortable by the way) and then pronounced that she thought he might still be breech so sent me off straight to hospital for a scan. Got there at 11.30, had scan.... and he is breech because she did me a sweep they don;t want to leave me over the weekend, so I am going in for a cs tomorrow morning 8am my mind is all a whirl, thought I would let you all know, and then I am going to repack my bags now I know what's happening. Will probably be in hospital till monday/tues if there are no problems. So much to sort out and do this afternoon now, must get on, will catch up with you all later, hopefully you will find this thread ok

Good luck for tomorrow Mrs F. Don't forget to text me or Collywobbles when you have had him.

I too have seen the midwife today. The action I felt lastnight/this morning was the head moving further down. I am now 4/5s engaged, so any day now really. Due date is Sunday.

Got to go now as mum has arrived, so won't be about much now.

MrsFish · 04/10/2007 14:39

Thanks Winnie - will let you know, and good luck to you too

Hi ladies

Crikey Mrs F there's a shock for you - good luck for tomorrow! At least you won't be waiting any more.

Congratulations to Alice and Adam, Katsh and Rory - hope you're all doing well, especially little Rory on his antibiotics.

Sorry to hear everyone's so puffy. I've been lucky on that front so far. Had my first 'could this be it' moment this morning in town (where else?). Was just desperate to get home in case things kicked off, but they haven't. Ah well...

Big hugs to you all. I'm off for a short nap before doing a bit of work on the computer later. So tired can hardly keep eyes open at the mo

Laters x

Hi All

Just found the ante-natal section and thought i would join you here. I'm due on 13th October with my first baby.

I'm going in for a scan tomorrow to see how big baby is as they have said they are worried that baby might be too big for me to deliver, not sure what will happen tomorrow after i see the consultant.

Mrs Fish good luck tomorrow (8am god thats early)

MrsFish · 04/10/2007 16:03

OMG Mrs Fish bet that was a complete shock! All the very best for Monday, I'll be picking your brains as to how the c section went as soon as you're back!
Can't remember what I last told everyone but had my GT tests on wednesday and they're threatening to bring my date forward if I am 'diabetic'. Will find out Monday, so could be joining the early birthers
Hope all are well x

MrsFish · 04/10/2007 19:01

Inzi - Winnie and kinki are my buddies, so as long as Winnie doesn't join me in the next day or so, I'm sure she will let you know

hi all

mrsF- OMG!! don't know what else to say! the best of luck to you, hope you manage to sleep tonight, ooo all excited now and feel all emotional for you!
who's kinki?

inzi i'm here
been busy today, went swimmimg then came home and napped, then was cooking, set the kitchen on fire, put it out, cleaned up, finally sat down, am feeling so tired, i've not been taking my iron liquid properly so my 'mood' yesterday may because i'm getting low again, will be making more of an effort to take it and get another prescription.

sorry i haven't replied to all, my fingers are like sausages, so its quite hard to type

MrsFish · 04/10/2007 19:16

Hi J20 - sorry, kinki is off the September thread, I have been posting on both because of my due date

Well I have repacked my bags, with big knickers, pads and nighties, and a couple of books. Anything else dh will have to get afterwards

Just had a bit of a meltdown, today has finally caught up with me. Went to get my notes to pack at 4.30 and couldn't find them, then realised I must have left them in the shop after my scan when I went for change for the carpark. Rang the hospital and luckily the notes had been handed in, so then had to do a mad rush hour dash back to the hospital, because I have a couple of pills to take before tomorrow, then straight to pick ds up from nursery for 5.30. Got him home and he was a bit niggly because he hasn't slept all day, gave him a bath and washed his hair, probably not the wisest thing because he hates it. Anyway he had the screaming ad-dabs on him, ran to his room and got in bed, managed to get him ready for bed, but then he wouldn't come downstairs for his bottle or a cuddle, and kept pushing me away, totally unlike him... anyway that set me off into floods of tears because I wanted a nice cuddle off him before I go in tomorrow, as we will have probably left before he wakes up in the morning. Managed to get him to have his milk, and then he went straight to sleep at 6.45, so I have only seen him briefly all day. trying to calm myself down now before DH gets home, because I know I'll start again as soon as he asks me what is wrong.

Anyway, sorry for the woe is me post

aw mrsF-it is a mad rush isn't it?! a bit of a shock! maybe go and lay with ds for 10 minutes before you go to bed, even if he's asleep, at least you know you've had a bit of time with him x

hi Inzi, how are you doing?

think i was having a bad day yesterday and feeling sorry for myself.

am so fed up now, mainly of having swollen hands and feet. also, i think it hit me that i may have to have a sweep or be induced, which has been one of my biggest fears through this pg, i'm a wimp, i know! ;)

MrsFish · 04/10/2007 19:47

J20 - the sweep didn't hurt e at all, it was a little uncomfortable but that was all

thanks mrsF and inzi-i'm just so squeamish about that kind of thing, i cry when i have a smear! i just didn't want any interference, as in to start me off, because of how it went with dd's birth.

emj23 · 04/10/2007 20:07

I don't blame you for not wanting to be fiddled about with J20baby, I feel the same. I want to know what is likely to happen at my MW appt tomorrow - I'm four days overdue but appt is at normal GP surgery - will they do a sweep or anything or do you need to be in hospital? I really want labour to start on its own as I'm squeamish too. I feel very torn between not wanting anything done and wanting the baby out!

muppetgirl · 04/10/2007 20:19

Found you all!

Good luck Mrs Fish!!

will post later as dh is putting back the washing machine and I have LOADS to do
x

J2OBABY · 04/10/2007 20:22

em-i don't feel desperate enough to have any interference yet. here they don't do a sweep till 41 wks, but i think mrsF was 4 days overdue today and they did it, not sure if anyone but mw's do it or not.

J2OBABY · 04/10/2007 20:35

oh crap, i've just run out of after 8's

anyone heard from greedy lately?

Inzi-don't think you've got much chance of getting an underwired ones, the ones i got wheren't supportive enough either, dd told me to change one cos my b00bs where hanging but the best ones i find are thicker material, which have a bit more support.

i'll try and find a link of the one i got on ebay which seems quite good

J2OBABY · 04/10/2007 21:03

here it is

don't know if they'll be any more on ebay, but you get the idea x
