@Gigitree Don't worry, I'm a complete newb too, it's all about googling things as they come up! Yes we came up low risk with harmony, given a chance of 1:10,000 so feeling a bit more relaxed now! Sure the stress will build again before the 20 week scan! How many weeks are you? X

Gigitree · 21/12/2019 16:36

@BabyBird20 oh that’s fab I’m so pleased for you! That must be such a relief!
I’m 13 weeks, just had my scan and the combined test on Friday (was supposed to be on Monday but they couldn’t complete the measurements because baby was in a bad position apparently) so just waiting for my results now! Fingers crossed we get some good news in the post soon! Although with Christmas etc who knows how long it will take, I’m hoping they act on it quickly and I get something Monday, but the lady who took my blood said it can take up to two weeks even when it’s not Christmas!

BabyBird20 · 21/12/2019 18:19

@Gigitree I'll have my fingers crossed for you! But remember the longer it takes the better as means you're lower risk! They only phone if you're in the higher risk category! Xx

Gigitree · 21/12/2019 18:48

@BabyBird20 thank you! That’s a very good way of looking at it! Smile

Hi all! Excited to join, I'm 37, first baby, due 6th June, also not finding out the sex.

We've got all nursery furniture including mamas and papas orchard cot bed for £35 from eBay, over £700 brand new so I'm super impressed with that bargain!!

MrsD20 · 22/12/2019 10:01

Morning all, I hope you're all well!
I'm 28

AmyMaria2 · 22/12/2019 20:46

Hi thanks for asking everyone, I'm having a baby boy💙💙💙💙 so happy & even more excited now!xx

Smiffette · 22/12/2019 20:48

@Zoey92 hope it eases up for you!

I've had quite a bit of stretchy achy pains across my tummy today.

I keep getting really worried when I'm sleeping, I'm a back sleeper so it's been really hard trying to keep, ideally, to my left side... is anyone else having this?

15 + 6

APD1981 · 22/12/2019 21:01

@Amymaria2 how exciting!! Congratulations! X

@smiffette I'm a back sleeper too although my preferred side is my left if I am on my side. I have bought a maternity pillow that's currently in the loft. I got it in the MC sale and thought I'd put it away until I had a big bump. However, I'm considering getting it out soon to see if putting it behind me when I lie on my side stops me from moving to my back. Must admit it's been on my mind x

Smiffette · 22/12/2019 21:05

@APD1981 ah yes I bought one from there in the sale last week... I do t feel big enough to have in bed but was thinking the same as you in terms of keeping me in my side.
Me left is also preferred as I get pain in my shoulder on the right.

peetieswie · 22/12/2019 21:31

@smifette I'm a side sleeper but I am getting constantly paranoid that I'm not sitting or sleeping in the right position! If I lie on the sofa for a while too long on my back, or lie scrunched in bed, I feel worried I've done something to hurt the baby. Does anyone know if I'm right to be worried? I definitely feel I'm over worrying but some reassurance might help!

peetieswie · 22/12/2019 21:32

Congratulations @amymaria2 💙💙

Pegase · 22/12/2019 21:44

Sleeping on your back is not something to massively worry about, particularly this early when the uterus isn't so heavy. Just roll back when you realise.

For debunking pregnancy fears, even occasional myths with evidence, I highly recommend Expecting Better by Emily Oster as a good read.

LillianFullStop · 23/12/2019 00:41

Yay to new thread!

40, baby #2, 16+3 due 5-Jun, will find out sex in 3 weeks hopefully!

MsMiaWallace · 23/12/2019 13:57

After just eating a pack of malteasers followed by my advent calendar chocolate.
What's the naughtiest things you've eaten during this pregnancy?

Earlier this week I pretty much smashed through a tube of Pringles over 2 days to myself.
I'd never normally eat like this !!

Pegase · 23/12/2019 14:10

So many- I can basically only eat junk while I have morning sickness. Saveloy and chips, tons of chocolate milkshake and packet cheesey pasta are some of my lows!

Smiffette · 23/12/2019 15:39

To be fair I've not been too bad.... at least not until this weekend when I ate two ham donuts 🙈
