@chocolate26 mines recently just increased as well. I'm not worried about it though.
I don't think you can see the nub on my scan so i can't even guess

chocolate26 · 19/12/2019 16:45

@AmyMaria2 @MrssC92 thanks girls Smile I'm unsure whether you can see a nub on mine either! Here's mine Smile

Hey ladies 27, first baby due 15/6/20. Hubby wants find out gender but I want it to be a surprise Grin

cookingbabydunc · 19/12/2019 22:08

Hi everyone,

I'm 34, 2nd baby due 30/05 but I'm convinced the due date is more like 04/05. Spoke to the midwife about baby size as I'm tall and my partner is 6;5 and she also said that around 12 weeks the size of the baby is pretty standard, so we shall see.

We will be finding out the gender, think it'll make it easier for my little boy to get his head around and now I'm itching to know myself anyway!

Thanks for setting up the new thread x

Larrydavid · 19/12/2019 23:04

Hey! I haven't posted in this thread for a while - I always read through it though - it's reassuring that everyone is going through similar things.

I'm 35, 1st baby, we're keeping the gender a surprise, due date 14th June.

AmyMaria2 · 20/12/2019 00:05

@chocolate26 no can't really see a nub! And I've got pretty good at studying them& guessing 🤣 lovely photo though ❤️

sarahlounich · 20/12/2019 06:35

Hi everyone, I’m 32, first baby and due date 2/6/20 according to 12 weeks scan.... I think more like 9/6/20 but we’ll see! Gender scan on 23/12 but we won’t find out until we do a little gender reveal with our parents on 29/12!

Got my 16 week appointment today so excited to hear I might hear baby’s heart beat. Now the horrific nausea has gone I’m not really feeling pregnant...just like I’m bloated and I’ve eaten too much! x

RPPs · 20/12/2019 06:39

@LillianFullStop I have felt movement twice this week just when I get into bed and lay on my back. Honestly feels like the baby is doing somersaults.

Its great seeing such a lovely spread of age in this group. But now I realise that Im the oldest. Shock Thankfully my test results are back low risk.

I read in my midwife pack, to come alone to the 16 week mw appointment but I wouldn't deprive my DH of the gift of hearing the heatbeat for the first time. Anyone know why they want you alone?

APD1981 · 20/12/2019 08:21

@RPPs mine didn't say to come alone but it didn't seem like the kind of appt DH needed to be at. It's basically blood pressure, carbon monoxide test, urine dip, go through when your next appts are, ask anything questions you have, and mine recommended trying to get booked on to ante natal classes. The heartbeat thing is lovely but you could always record it using a voice recorder on your phone? I think I'd want a recording of it anyway because I love going back and playing it! My DH didn't feel like he'd missed out by not being there. It was quite a clinical appt really.

hjbows88 · 20/12/2019 10:34

Mine won’t be coming with me to 16 week appointment but he is coming for my first consultant appointment and all the scans :)

Can’t remember who asked about discharge but yes totally normal! I’ve had varying amounts since I found out I was pregnant. More some days than others and I find if I exercise a lot or am standing/walking most of the day then I get more (no idea why!)

peetieswie · 20/12/2019 11:36

Anyone thought about what you need to buy? I was nervous to buy anything before the scan but feel better about picking things up now. We're going to use cloth nappies (washable) and cheeky wipes (also washable) as we want to be as low waste as possible. My city has a cloth nappy library for the newborn size but bought a few full size ones as the prints are so cute. Bought a couple of outfits as we're not finding out sex.

Mum is itching to buy me a pram but I don't fancy storing that till June!

APD1981 · 20/12/2019 11:54

My mum has already bought the travel system. She was desperate to and she took advantage of the Mothercare sale. It's currently in my sister's loft and I've not clapped eyes on it. I will when I'm further along! I've bought a baby bouncer (MC sale too) and a couple of outfits and books. Also not finding out the gender so not buying too many clothes. My sister is giving me the crib she used with her 2 so I just need to buy a mattress for that. That's all I've bought so far x

hjbows88 · 20/12/2019 12:53

I’ve bought and pram seat from my neighbour as she was selling them at a price I couldn’t turn down. Haven’t collected them yet though - will be about 16 weeks when I pick them up. Not bought anything else yet but will probably start in the sales after Xmas :)

MissisBee · 20/12/2019 13:12

Hi. 36, baby #2, due 17th June.
Haven't bought anything yet this time, but with my first, got the pram and lots of clothes around 16 weeks in the January sales.

chocolate26 · 20/12/2019 13:13

I have bought a pack of vests, some socks and one baby grow Smile that's it so far. I'm not going to buy anything big until after 20 week scan, We have picked out the pushchair and furniture that we want though.

AmyMaria2 · 20/12/2019 13:46

I've only got a few neutral vests, find out gender this weekend so will be able to buy some more clothes & then big things after 20 weeks, although I'll probably see something I like in the January sales 🤣 x

MsMiaWallace · 20/12/2019 17:24

Hiya!!

I'm 33.
3rd baby!
Due 29th June.
Staying team yellow & wont be finding out gender.

UKtoSK · 21/12/2019 00:08

I’m 13 weeks today (Saturday) and one app says I start the second trimester today and the other app says I have one more week to go... I’m choosing to meet in the middle and say that second trimester starts on Christmas Day! That’ll be my Christmas present this year haha.

I don’t have a bump yet but when I lie down flat on my back I can feel where my womb is and how it is raised up a little bit where it used to be kind of inverted? Has anyone noticed that? Can’t wait for it to get bigger.

Gigitree · 21/12/2019 06:52

Hi, hope I’m not too late to join!

31, first baby, 13+3, due 24th June - will be finding out the sex, too impatient to wait!
How is it that so many know the sex so early? I though you had to wait until at least 16 weeks?

BabyBird20 · 21/12/2019 08:31

@Gigitree a few of us had the harmony test (private screening test) done to check for Downs etc and they can tell you the sex as part of that! 😊

Gigitree · 21/12/2019 10:16

@BabyBird20 oh I see that makes sense then! How do you go about getting the harmony test done? If you don’t mind me asking, Did you just do it to be cautious or were you recommend to? How much is it?

BabyBird20 · 21/12/2019 11:47

@Gigitree I had a call after my 12 week screening to say I was in the high risk category which made me really anxious. You have the option of nhs invasive tests which have 1% chance of miscarriage or they tell you about harmony which is risk free but not diagnostic so we went for that one in the first place and would have had the invasive ones if that had come back high risk. We spent ages googling nipt tests in our area (Bristol) and discovered the cheapest was ultra sound direct in Swindon or Cardiff, it ranges from £300 to over £500!!

Gigitree · 21/12/2019 12:00

@BabyBird20 thank you so much for the info! I feel like such a newb! Lol!
Did everything come back ok for you with the harmony test?
