@MsMiaWallace we are thinking of getting the egg pushchair 😊 in country green colour! We are going to go to a shop and try out different ones first before we buy. Does anyone have any experience with the egg pushchair?

Also does anyone seem to get mild period pains in their back? I've had quite a painful back so far but last night it started to get achey almost like period pain Confused it's not there thismorning, back to the normal back pain.

Twittlebee · 27/12/2019 09:57

I do, @chocolate26 , it makes you worry doesnt it!

chocolate26 · 27/12/2019 10:03

@Twittlebee yes I've been worrying about it since last night, I'm wondering whether to call my midwife or early pregnancy unit but I don't want to if it's normal! No bleeding just an annoying achey period feeling 😕 I have had a lot of aches and pains the whole way through so far, I'm quite small and it's my first baby so I'm wondering if my body is having to stretch a lot.

Twittlebee · 27/12/2019 10:13

It's always worth a call @chocolate26 , even if it just puts your mind at ease. Theyll be used to similar questions and theyll know whether to bring you in or not. The stretching is so achey isn't it! But do phone to be sure.

I think my back pain might be partially due to a car accident injury flaring up, IBS and the partial placenta abruption over been told I have this pregnancy as well as all the stretching. Just so many bloody causes

Pegase · 27/12/2019 20:42

Agree with @Twittlebee we had Silver Cross with DD1 and I wouldn't get one again. I quite like look of Cybex prams but not sure where you can go to try them.

We have the bugaboo cameleon 3 which we got second hand from a friend and in mother care sales yesterday we also got an iCandy Peach. We probably don’t need both and may end up selling one (we got 60% off the peach and pretty sure we could sell on eBay or Facebook market for at least the price we bought it at if we keep it as new in the box) but we have three sets of grandparents who will all be very involved in childcare for us so a second one may come in handy. I’ve obviously not had to use the buggies yet but find the feel of both really nice. Easy to put up and down and easy to move around :) we got car seat, breast pump/express kit, baby carrier/sling and a few items of clothes yesterday all with 60% off!

Blizy · 28/12/2019 09:58

I had a nose around around mothercare yesterday, I'm swaying between the cameleon 3 and the mamas and papas Ocarro. Both were less than half price but I couldn't buy (too anxious). I'm waiting until at least my anomaly scan.
Can we talk maternity jeans? I honestly look around 6 months pregnant at only 14 weeks, the joy of third pregnancy! I have tried jeans from Next, Dorothy P's and New look and they are all horrendous. Baggy ankles and what's with the back pockets that end half way down my legs! How does. H&M rate?

chocolate26 · 28/12/2019 10:13

@Blizy I have a couple of pairs of maternity jeans and leggings from boohoo.com, I think they are really good! Comfy and a nice fit on my legs. They do come up quite big though so I'd suggest getting a size smaller than you actually are 😊

Twittlebee · 28/12/2019 10:14

All my mat Jean's are from H&M @Blizy

SoloJazz · 28/12/2019 10:20

H&M jeans are amazing, I live in them currently. They are the comfiest ones out of so many, and I tried lots!!

Blizy · 28/12/2019 10:29

Thanks, how are the H&M jeans size wise?

SoloJazz · 28/12/2019 10:33

I thought I'd need to size up but no, my usual size is ok (I'm 8 if that helps)

MissisBee · 28/12/2019 11:17

I have a Joie chrome pram from last time. I love it, and a bit cheaper than some of the other big names. It's quite heavy, but that's because it's got good wheels for rough paths (I live by the sea, so that was an important consideration). DS was small, so we got plenty of use out of the carry cot part and still using the buggy now. Only problem is I have to take a wheel off to fit it in my tiny boot.

I got new look jeans last time and wearing them now. Need a second pair, was going to get from next as I got vouchers for Christmas.

Pegase · 28/12/2019 11:18

I have bought mat jeans from JoJo and Mothercare so far. Come up big and are falling down so putting them through wash to see if that helps. Tried H and M and felt a bit too tight but might have to try again. I actually need some smart slim black trousers for work if anyone sees any when out shopping.
I have quite a 'sharp' style usually- clean lines/solid colours so hate the ditsy patterns on all mat wear- doesn't suit me at all

peetieswie · 28/12/2019 14:14

Got a big maternity wear shop from asos. Spent £150 and got loads and only sending a couple of bits back. Got some fab checked work trousers that are really comfy and got loads of stripy tops. Got a pack of two leggings, bit tight and thin but super cheap. I might invest in some of the thicker leggings people rave about from some other brands.

Also bought some dresses and jeans from mothercare. Jeans are OK but definitely getting builders bum if I squat down.

Smiffette · 28/12/2019 14:49

I've just order some stuff from ASOS! Still struggling to find some comfy jeans though... tried next and new look, but they weren't comfy.

Just gave in and bought a few bits from Mothercare, there's hardly anything left in the one by me. But got a Moses basket starter kit (blankets and fitted sheet) and a cute star lamp shade 😊

BabyBird20 · 28/12/2019 21:54

Has anyone used an oyster 3 pram? We're struggling to find one that will fit in our tiny corsa boot! Apparently these fold up small but don't know if they're good in general?

Larrydavid · 28/12/2019 22:19

On maternity jeans: i've tried a few pairs and the ones I'm happiest in are skinny ones from topshop - the ones that go over the bump. I'm at that weird inbetween stage where I'm too big for all my normal clothes - anything that tries to go "under the bump" seem to just pull my knickers down 🙈

MsMiaWallace · 29/12/2019 09:37

Guys, has anyone else had a tiny bit of brown discharge?
When I wiped yesterday there was a bit on the tissue. Not enough for a pad.
I've had a MC before DS so obviously I panicked.
I rang the midwife helpline & she didn't seem concerned. Doesn't stop me worrying though.
It's not got any worse.

Blizy · 29/12/2019 09:44

BabyBird I had an oyster 2 with my ds, it was a quite a compact fold but I hated the pushchair. The seat unit seemed very small and the wheels were very flimsy. I sold it after a few months and bought mamas and papas sola.

billericaymumtobe · 29/12/2019 09:52

Has anyone tried maxi cosi zelia pushchair? It is recommended by mumsnet and has very good reviews elsewhere plus it’s actually fairly cheap. Me and my partner haven’t got family to help us with buying baby stuff so trying to look for good value for money things that won’t break the bank and equally will be of good quality which could be hard.

hjbows88 · 29/12/2019 09:59

@MsMiaWallace I haven’t although my discharge has been quite yellow some days (since finding out). If it was brown I would probably go in to the maternity unit to it my mind at rest even if midwife didn’t seem concerned. Hope all is ok x

Twittlebee · 29/12/2019 10:15

Bit of brown blood really could just be a little bit of old bleeding finally working it's way lose out of you, could be from lining or the cervix and it's good the MW isn't worried @MsMiaWallace and it's good it's not happened again. But if you are anxious (understandably) can you push your MW to refer you to the EPU for a scan?

I havent tried it @billericaymumtobe but googled it and it looks fab! Also, I'm taking it you're from Billericay? That's my home town!

BabyBird20 · 29/12/2019 10:25

@blizy thanks for the heads up! I've heard that about the oyster 2 so not convinced, though apparently they've made the seat bigger on this one based on feedback! It's too soon to commit really I guess, just getting excited looking at the sales!!

AmyMaria2 · 29/12/2019 11:58

@MsMiaWallace I haven't, I've had so much discharge but all fairly clear/white. I'd go into my epu if it turned brownish I think. Just to be sure! Although it is supposed to be old blood x
