BFP! August/September 2020 Babies!

Hi, just found out after a long time trying! Haven't really told anyone yet so thought some ladies in the same position might want somewhere to share symptoms/stories/worries. Doesn't feel real yet and that 12 week scan seems a loooooong way off!! 😂

Hi @Beth804 congratulations! I found out yesterday at 12dpo, can't quite believe we have been so lucky to get a Christmas bfp 😊 This will be our first but we had a mmc in the summer, found at 12 week scan that baby was 7 weeks so I am for sure going to have an early private scan! Maybe more than one! Staying positive though and enjoying the feeling of being preggers again after so long 😁

I got bfp 4 days ago, was a huge shock, I already have 2 DDs 🙈 never found out as early with them and had MMC last year so every little pain makes me worry lol wishing you guys loads of luck for the next 12 weeks x

Congratulations all I'm around 5-6 weeks and due August, so would love to join the thread. Had a crazy time up to now with being told I wasn't pregnant or suspected ectopic at the early scan... to seeing a baby there and a heartbeat today. Madness but so happy and excited to be pregnant! Lots of luck and happiness for the 12 weeks xxx

@OzEm I had 3 days of really bad heartburn and couldnt stand the smell of mince before I tested, since then the only things I've noticed is being really tired and pains in my groin, think that could be down to spd in my 2 previous pregnancies x

Yes have the real tiredness too! It’s my first so have no idea what to expect when x

Ahhhh, congratulations everyone! Lovely to share experiences! I'm feeling so tired, but not sure if it's all in my head and it's just because of crazy Christmas!! I rang the doctors today to let them know which all feels a bit more real!

I got my BFP 5 days ago and I'm now 4 weeks and 3 days. We were supposed to start trying in January (get Christmas and New Year out the way) but it happened one month early sooo happy and excited!! We're due on the 23-27th August 2020 (the date differs depending whether it calculates from my LMP or ovulation date)

Is anyone else going to tell their close family on Christmas? I want to keep it quite but I'm just bursting to tell my parents and grandparents.

@Melbs6 We're going to tell our parents Christmas Day I think! I'm due around 26th August, lucky that I get an early scan because of the fertility medication I've been on, so that should confirm dates - and put my mind at ease hopefully!!

Honestly every pregnancy is different, my 1st I had terrible morning sickness all the way through, bad spd and Gestational diabetes, second I had really bad heartburn and spd. Time will tell for us all what symptoms we will get :)

I found out I was pregnant a week ago, I still don't believe I took two test then sent my husband to the shop to buy two more just to be sure haha.
This is my second, I'm SO nervous this time round worried somethings wrong with the baby! I don't know why think I'm just over thinking things! Due around 13th of august!!

Got my BFP today. Due baby no3 on August 28th. As it will be an ELCS it will probably be early August due to complications in a previous pregnancy. We're very excited but also slightly terrified as DC2 will be 23 months when baby is born! Our DC1 and 2 have a big age gap so we've not experienced having two little ones before. Congratulations everyone on your early Christmas presents!

@f00k the age gape between my 2 DDs is 2 years 10 months so a little bit bigger but DD1 was terrific with DD2 when she was born, loved helping out with feeding, washing etc.. was great watching them together :) fast forward 4 years and they still get along well but some days want to kill each other lol

Going to tell my family on Christmas Day, and Dhs when we go to visit just after Xmas, I think after the mmc I want to be able to share the joy while I can as I will tell them if we mc again anyway! Also it will be sooo obvious.
My main issue at the moment is that we are having a party on Saturday with all my friends who will definitely notice if I'm not drinking! At least it's at my house so I can pour my own drinks/ hide them in various rooms!

Thank you @AAA89. That sounds so cute! DD is very sweet and cuddly but also seems to have a secret destruction switch at the moment that flicks on and she suddenly turns into the Tasmanian Devil haha. DS is almost 9 and super caring and gentle and I know he'll be thrilled.

Oh my I am feeling rough today! It took me ages to get to sleep even though I was shattered and then our neighbours car alarm went off at 4am 😡 anyone else got headaches/ nausea/ exhaustion/ extreme hunger?!! When I woke up at 4 my stomach was rumbling sooo bad haha!
Gotta embrace the gross feelings just as much as the good! 😀 still a happy bunny, today is my period due date so know I will be kicker checking allll day!

@TunnocksTcake Yes!! Totally thought I'd be sleeping 8 hours + a night... finding myself regularly getting up at like 5 am tho haha! My headaches come and go and I've got a v faint feeling of sickness.. v faint at the mo.
It's all good though, the more symptoms the better in my view as Ive had a previous MC. I welcome feeling rubbish!

I will be 6 weeks tomorrow, due on August 14th 2020! Still waiting for morning sickness to kick in, nausea has been awful for me the past few days though and I am the same with the extreme hunger @TunnocksTcake!! That’s what made me test, I thought I was just becoming a bit of a pig 😂

Congratulations! I got my BFP the day my boyfriend went on deployment and we couldn't speak for 7 days 😂! Had a scan yesterday and I'm 6 weeks and 1 day so due August 10th I believe!
