@Alicejj8x ours was 22mm on the 20th percentile, but that measurement is from the 22 week repeat scan.

We didn't get an overall weight/growth measurement at our scan, possibly because we had the measurements split between scans, the report says that the MW has to calculate it - we're seeing her next week.

Baby160P · 16/10/2018 19:15

Also I love a chubby baby!

Their little thigh wrinkles ❤️

Wames90 · 16/10/2018 19:34

@celebelly don’t worry, I am too! This is my first and I feel huge already! 24+5 and I’m scared how big I’ll be by the end!

Alicejj8x · 16/10/2018 19:41

@Fredthespider
Ahhh I see! Thank you for commenting.

It's so confusing isn't it and worrying lol I hope it goes okay with your next apppointmenr xxx

Notquiteagandt · 16/10/2018 19:42

@Alicejj8x mine says 20.01mm for the cerrebellum. For her estimated weight. As well as length and Femar length she is on the 5th percentile head size just above the 5th but under the 10th.

I mentioned it to my OB I was worried she was small. But I got told the actual measurements as such dont matter its that they follow their growth curve thats important growth doesnt spike or slow down. As well as being in proportion overall.

So I think it will be hard to compare with friends as its about overall size.

Tbh theres so many numbers and figures on my scan report I dont even know what half of them are or mean.

I wouldnt over analyse them.

bubblybrit · 16/10/2018 20:15

Ah I’m sure everything will be fine @Alicejj8x. I’m trying to remain pretty relaxed and not focus too much on measurements/comparisons etc as I trust my midwife/sonographer would raise any concerns. Easier said than done I know...... xx

Yakadee · 16/10/2018 20:27

@Baby160P - leg creases are the best 😍

LookingAtTheStars89 · 16/10/2018 20:54

Oh my God, I literally have the WORST reflux at the moment! Chest ache, acid throat burn, it's awful!!

AliceRR · 16/10/2018 21:18

Is anyone else thinking of having a 3D/4D scan? Have I asked this before?! Baby brain!!

bubblybrit · 16/10/2018 21:21

@AliceRR. DH and I are considering 4D scan in December. There is a Babybond clinic 10 mins from where we live. Used them for a private scan and harmony test at 10 weeks and they were brilliant!

AliceRR · 16/10/2018 21:23

@bubblybrit Yes I have read 26-30 weeks or 28-34 is the best time so thinking I’ll aim for 28-30! Need to find somewhere nearby and midwife recommended checking their qualifications so they will be safe in the amount of time they scan for etc.

I do worry slightly if there is a risk involved.

Notquiteagandt · 16/10/2018 21:31

@LookingAtTheStars89 I reccomend a bannana if you have one. Only thing takes the edge off acid for me 🍌 if you find yourself suffering regularily. Omaprazole have been a life saver along side lots gaviscon.

bubblybrit · 16/10/2018 21:36

@AliceRR. I’ll be 30 weeks at the time we are thinking about having ours. I think they are ok provided the person doing the scan has the correct qualifications. My midwife said that the 3D/4D scan poses no more risk that any other scan. They don’t recommend too many scans unless deemed necessary for health reasons but this would only be my fourth and my last until baby is born which i don’t think is too bad x

Baby160P · 16/10/2018 21:48

Hormone over drive.

Super angry earlier as took my mum out for lunch for her birthday and got her lots of presents and not one thank you! Really peed me off.

I cried this evening for no reason and have felt crap ever since.

Feel over whelmed for no reason.

Anyone else have phases of this??

emalady · 16/10/2018 21:49

@Alicerr we had planned not to go for a 4D scan but as we get further through I'm keener to see more of her. I've had a few extra scans because I can get my old work to do them. How much are they?

powkin · 16/10/2018 22:20

@Baby160P - definitely anger! And feeling overwhelmed to be fair, but that’s not just a pregnancy thing. If the house was edible I would have eaten all of it today. Took all my self control to stick to the stupid amount that I had already eaten and not eat way more. DH finds it hard to know what to do/say as he clearly wants to keep me healthy but also happy so he gets pretty flustered and awkward, which then also annoys me! He’s naturally slim and has amazing self control which doesn’t help!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 16/10/2018 23:56

So much acid reflux here too... I couldn’t lay down the other night so sleeping was out of the question 😩

We decided against the 4d scan.. they offered to switch it on during our harmony test, but tbh... they creep me out, I always think the babies look like alien lasagnes 😬

Celebelly · 17/10/2018 00:22

The 4D scans creep me out too. We got a free look during our gender scan and it was terrifying 😂 she looks like she's made of melted wax. DP and I couldn't stop laughing. I'm saving the printout for her 18th birthday.

Bluelagoon25 · 17/10/2018 07:53

👶🏼💖

twiglet · 17/10/2018 08:16

We thought about the 4D scan but again I find them a little weird.

We have to have another scan at 34 weeks anyway now.

For anyone else with pgp my midwife gave me a tip of having a cold bed so covers pulled back window open for a bit just before bed and take paracetamol if you've had a bad pain day just before bed.

It seems weird but I slept loads better and didn't wake up for a good few hours with pain. Going to try to avoid taking paracetamol every night but I was just thankful to get some pain free rest!

moonlight1705 · 17/10/2018 08:17

I didn't even think to get a 4D scan but to be honest, I'm not sure I like the look of them.

Is anyone else getting a gestational diabetes test? I've got one booked for 6th Nov but it doesn't help that I'm massively needlephobic so am girding my loins to have two done in one day. Sad

Since2016 · 17/10/2018 09:31

Did one with DD but wouldn’t bother again. Bit weird.

Diabetes - yes but I’ve already had the initial bloods so it’s just the fasting bit next week now.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/10/2018 09:51

@celebelly Melted wax!! Yes!!!! 😂😂

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 17/10/2018 09:58

@since2016

I think you may have to have two lots drawn the same day, the initial bloods only flag up that you need the test I thought?

On the day if the test, they take your bloods, then you have the drink and wait.. then they take more bloods. Unless it’s changed.. I last had it 12 years ago 😬😂

@moonlight1705 I’m needlephobic too (or was.. I’ve self counselled and I’m a lot better than I was). I used to need a prescription of diazepam for blood tests before, but now as long as I have someone there I’m ok, (I still cry and shake but I’m there!)

It’s not pleasant, but you can do it... I’d ask if they can take it from the other arm when they draw the second lot. Going back into the same arm so soon nearly finished me.. I always buy emla cream from Superdrug/boots now too, so I can plaster loads on for a good couple of hours beforehand.. it’s all psychological because it doesn’t really hurt, but if it helps it helps! 🤷🏻‍♀️

sickmumma · 17/10/2018 11:27

Hey ladies! I had my scan today finally! They confirmed it's a little girly and all is well! I had a cervix scan too and that was also all fine so feeling a lot more relaxed about it! I was so nervous before I thought I was going to be sick!! Horrible!

I also have the have the diabetes test and booked in for 6th Nov! I haven't had one before so not sure what to expect! Can't grumble about needles etc as both my 7 and 9 year old boys have diabetes and go through it all everyday so if they can do it so can I! (It's because of them having it that I have to have the test this time) is it just the finger prick of is it proper bloods take?
