Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MrsBadger · 21/05/2007 16:59

whizzing?
whizzing?

I will mostly be lumbering into my third trimester with frequent breaks to catch my breath and/or eat icecream.

[dreams of whizzing]

bananabump · 21/05/2007 17:01

Can I trudge into the third trimester?

Love getting a spangly new thread!

Annie75 · 21/05/2007 17:05

I'm increasingly inclined to waddle...

jem1969 · 21/05/2007 17:05

Hello new thread

I feel big,big big
Can't walk and talk at the same time and ribs hurt.
Other than that can't complain- well I could but I won't! Don't think that being unable to paint toenails properly could really count as serious.
Friend had first baby last night- 5 hours start to finish- thought that was quite good

KatieandBB · 21/05/2007 17:05

me too!

katybird · 21/05/2007 17:05

I'm definitely at the waddling stage when I need to pee!

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 21/05/2007 17:07

ohi love new thread!!

Im def waddeling, we have less then 14 weeks left ladies so of you a lot less im at the end of Aug!!!!!!

tokentotty · 21/05/2007 17:07

Well, that was easier said than done !
Vegas was fab. Took it very easy and no, didn't get married as did that 7 years ago. Was a second honeymoon in a way though as we did end up there on our first one after a series of disastrous incidents..... Still, we had a great time, saw some fab shows, had lovely meals although no sunbathing really as it was over 100 degrees everyday and that was just too hot for my poor sensitive skin. Came up all blotchy after just half an hour one day which is such a weird thing for me as am pretty olive skinned but it was purely the heat. Wonder how Hersetta's getting on in the Maldives.
Oh, and the midwife said that the bump tightening was definitely Braxton Hicks and was a sign to rest....

TT - Welcome home, how was the holiday ?

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 21/05/2007 17:09

X post!!

tokentotty · 21/05/2007 17:10

Yes, admittedly am waddling too, especially when I need a wee!! Am still fine in heels but whenever I'm not at work or going out it's the good old Birkenstocks that I live in. I know I was being optimistic about the whizzing part of the title considering the size of me but I definitely think that timewise we're all whizzing into it as am now 28+3weeks - where'd that time go ???

OP posts:
tokentotty · 21/05/2007 17:11

Oh !! how are you love ?

OP posts:
pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 21/05/2007 17:17

hi honey - im welll, feeling really big like that its sneaked up on me!! Cant belive that we are nearly there!! All very exciting!

i have a wedding in 5 weeks that i was really looking forward to when i was 12 weeks, knowing what i do now and that im hugh in going to feel like a a big pink balloon ( im bridesmaid and pink is NOT my colour) everyone getting drunk and me looking after my nan and ds _ oh roll on Aug!!

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 21/05/2007 17:23

Also add that im feeling really tierd in the afternoon! like the 1st trim again! is this what its going to be like now, dont remember it from ds as that was 5 years ago!

tokentotty · 21/05/2007 17:23

Oh Pink, don't even start on the wedding thing....got one when I'm 34 weeks and now one when I'll be 37 weeks, how much fun are they going to be eh ? As for the one I've got about 3 weeks after Peanut's due, God only knows how that'll all turn out !! But still, you're right. At least I'm not a bridesmaid (snigger) . Any danger of you posting us some pics of the day afterwards....?

Get on the Floradix liquid Pink, have just been admonished by Betty The Midwife for lapsing and not taking it everyday. She says tiredness is the first sign of iron levels possibly slipping "and we don't want that now do we?"
TT: No Betty. (head bowed in shame)

OP posts:
pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 21/05/2007 17:37

i will def post you some pictures! me at my larger self!!

Where do i get this liquid from??

Oh and a question : birthing ball things, are they good and if i do get one what the hell am i meant to do with it!!

katybird · 21/05/2007 17:59

You can get Floradix from health food stores, it's not the nicest taste in the world but it's definitely helping me to stave off the tiredness.

We do gym ball exercises in yoga. They're great to lean on when you're kneeling, you can roll your hips to ease the joints (meant to be good in early labour too). Or just leaning on them and rocking can be soothing. Our yoga teacher keeps saying to sit on it instead of on the sofa when you're watching telly, but the sofa's too tempting for me!

tokentotty · 21/05/2007 18:12

DH always gets my Floradix from Holland and Barrett. Just buy a big bottle of the stuff, take one measure a day and I honestly think it tastes fine. Don't get me wrong, couldn't drink a glass of the stuff, but for 20ml once a day I find it really alright.
Yeah, gym/birth ball, same diff. They sell them everywhere I think. Big Boots stores, dept stores and probably most sports shops I would imagine. I keep meaning to get another one to sit on at home as they're great for posture and really comfotable. I'd have one at work if I didn't work with all men and I wasn't paranoid about falling off it in front of them...

Ceolas · 21/05/2007 18:18

I wonder if I might butt in? No chance of whizzing!

I keep meaning to join, but the threads move too fast!

Am due baby number 4 on 24th

loler · 21/05/2007 18:19

The last week the birthing ball is really nice to sit on - also good when in the early stages of labour (gives you something else to think about!). Got mine from tesco's for really cheap.

I still haven't stopped the feeling tired bit - had iron levels checked and they are really high, guess it's just a sign of a hectic life!

Went to the doctors this morning as I look like I've been thumped in the eye - asked doctor about maternity exemption cert - he said it was a bit early and to talk to the midwife (easier said than done bearing in mind last time I saw her was coming up to 3 months ago!) - So, have you all got yours? when did you get them?

tt- did you get to go to the peppermill? We went there on the last night of our honeymoon - (also 7 years ago and also a bit by mistake - nearly missed the plane home too!). Has las vegas changed much - would like to go back but it's not really the most child friendly of places - maybe for 30th wedding an. (hopefully childfree by then!)

Banana bump - how rude! hope the consultant went better.

loler · 21/05/2007 18:22

Hello Ceolas - wow 4th - how are you coping? How old are your others?

katybird · 21/05/2007 18:45

Off home but just want to say hi Ceolas! I'm due on 23rd. Wow, four, I'll get the first one out of the way before I think about any more! Add yourself to the stats thread too.

Ceolas · 21/05/2007 19:38

Actually coping a lot better than I did with the other 3 pregnancies. There is longer between 3 and 4 than there was between 1 and 3!

Feeling fine at the moment (well apart from the indigestion) - just wondering how long it will last.

The biggest nightmare is figuring out how we will fit 4 children, 4 car seats and a pram in the car!

bananabump · 21/05/2007 19:43

Hi Ceolas, welcome! you sound like an old hand at this pregnancy lark, you'll have us all picking your brains!
