Sorry to crash on your shiny new thread, but wanted to congratulate you all on your news. JARM - I posted on one of your earlier threads and it didn't occur to me it was you! I hope you enjoy your pregnancy

((((Fingers quietly crossed for Lissielou)))

JARM: I'm new-ish on mumsnet. I've no idea why you reacted as you did to my question to dumptyhumpty. I hope it wasn't something I said.

SpookyMadBunny · 04/04/2007 07:56

Morning everyone!

How is everyone today? I've added my due date to the list. Anyone else? Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Anyone got any good cover up stories for why you're not drinking? My brother and family are coming this weekend and I don't want to use the old on antibiotics line as my sil used that for all three od her pregnancies and will suss straigtaway - any other good ones??

panic panic panic

thelady · 04/04/2007 09:25

Re no drinking: I've just been saying I'm not in the mood, too tired, whatever - not all that unusual for me. I tend not to drink if I'm tired/down as it just makes things worse.

Other than that, you could try having a full glass of whatever you'd normally drink, and just wet your lips with it every so often. Or claim you've given up for Lent...?

JARM: glad to know it wasn't me. Friends is good.

skidaddle · 04/04/2007 09:47

Hmm like the just wetting my lips idea thelady, thank you. Don't think 'I'm not in the mood' will cut it in my alcohol-loving family

Try not to worry cazzybabs, easier said than done, I know..

lissielouwithbunnyears · 04/04/2007 13:12

Riss · 04/04/2007 13:33

That sounds awful - poor you! How long has that been going on for?

thelady · 04/04/2007 13:36

No ms yet, but I do have the amazing inflatable tits! Can't wear any of my blouses, and T-shirts aren't that great for workwear....

lissielouwithbunnyears · 04/04/2007 13:40

lol, for about 5d now been gradually getting worse. gone from 32a up to 34c already!

barrelrider · 04/04/2007 14:05

Hi all

Well I did the test on Monday so I haven't even confirmed with the doctor but I reckon my due date is December 3rd or 5th! How exciting!!!!

We have a little boy who is 14.5 months old. Have only told a couple of very close friends as I think I'm only 5 weeks. Already feeling a bit tired. A few period-type pains today but I had the same thing last time and it was nothing.

Congratulations to you all, we're going to have a blast!!

Riss · 04/04/2007 14:13

I've got a dilemma perhaps someone can help - I'm going away with DH and four friends over Easter and they all drink a lot! I'm so early I don't want to tell the others yet and I certainly don't want to drink alcohol - but feel if I use the "I'm on antibiotics" excuse it will look lame. What shall I do/say? Would it be easier simply to tell them?

lissielouwithbunnyears · 04/04/2007 14:15

how about pretending your drinking. instead of having a g&t, v&t just have a tonic water!
