Hi

7 weeks to go

Was at doc with a scare today, think uti but doc kept saying PE!!

Baby moved right down today my pelvis is killing also 2 stone gain!!! Am hoping this boy comes early as am seriously down with the swelling pain and weight gain!!!

melissacx9 · 10/01/2017 03:20

Wide awake at this time.... no surprise there! It's been this way for a good week or two now. Anybody else the same? Sad

beauty gosh, just the mention of weight gain makes me feel sick - I daren't look at the scales at the minute! I think I hit the 2 stone mark around 28-29 weeks, and Christmas definitely won't have done me any favours! I'm already day dreaming about how much exercise I will be sure to do when the baby arrives and how much weight I will lose.... Not sure who I think I'm kidding, though Grin

7 weeks to go until EDD - I thought I wanted him to stay put as long as possible (I have quite a few Uni deadlines shortly after my due date) but now I just can't wait until he's here! The days & weeks seem to be really dragging now!

Growth scan in an hour, hope my little bean is getting nice and squishy Grin

Carolann8584 · 10/01/2017 17:19

Growth scan went OK, apparently she's big Hmm 90th percentile

Back on the 31St for another scan Grin

MotherofA · 10/01/2017 23:27

Glad your scan went well carol ! Bless her !
I had gained weight prior to preg due to thyroid but then lost some at beginning of preg so think my weight gain hasn't been too bad . When I was weighed around 4 weeks ago (26 weeks ) I had 12lb gain . Wasn't sure if this was a lot or not . Rest of me not big but my bump is very very large . Same as last time !
Hugh I think that's really sweet , my 10yo DD might kill me if I try joint parties though hahahaha oh well have to make the best . Smile

Carolann8584 · 10/01/2017 23:41

Gained 15lbs since my BFP

Very uncomfortable tonight, keep getting pains under bump and just had pain at the top of bump as well

Could it be beanys position? Head down facing backwards. Her movement feels stronger tonight as well

MotherofA · 10/01/2017 23:42

Growth scan tomorrow at 9.30. Wish me luck . Pretty sure she can't be small with the size of this bump though haha .
My friend says growth scans aren't accurate as they said her daughter was 7lb3 2 weeks before she was born weighing 6lb?!

Carolann8584 · 10/01/2017 23:50

They didn't tell me a weight just that she's big, at the top of the "normal" range on the graph

My friends SIL was due 2 weeks after me, just delivered at 29 weeks she had preclamsia.

Been asked to go back in on Friday as there was trace amounts od protein in my urine today, finally have normal BP and now it's my urine isn't right

Butterpuff · 11/01/2017 10:06

Carol, I hope your friends SIL baby is doing ok. 29 weeks is pretty early. But far earlier than most with signs of preeclampsia. I have a couple of friends who had it and their babies were born at 37-38 weeks. I had trace protein in my urine last time round, MW said it could be that I'm not drinking enough water so its just more concentrated. She's going to take another look in a couple of weeks. Wasn't too bothered but then I do have quite low BP so no other sings that they would trigger on.

Hope the scan went well Mother, what have they said this time. I'm a little nervous of the C-section this time. Last time as it was an emergency I had gone through the cannula, epidural, gas and air etc. so the actual section was just part of an escalating ride. This time will be going in cold so a bit more nervous. There are some great threads about elective sections to prepare you a bit. Also lots of opportunities at the pre op appointment to ask specific questions I would imagine.

May be TMI question but is anyone else suffering with a really sore backside if they sit for any length of time? I'm really struggling at work as its just so uncomfortable. Its harder than being at home running around after dd all day.

Carolann8584 · 11/01/2017 10:21

Butter I Think that's what effected my urine yesterday, Didn't drink a lot yesterday before appointment, was sick first thing due to going to sleep with heartburn, I knew when I woke up that I would be sick as soon as I got out of bed

Back in on Friday so hopefully it will be ok again. They are monitoring me quite closely which is good Smile

Garethea · 11/01/2017 13:09

Hi everyone

Just wanted to ask. I see a lot of posts talking about percentile for size. That has never been mentioned to me. Is it a figure you had to ask for or is it just too early for me? I'm 29 +2 :)

Carolann8584 · 11/01/2017 13:29

Garthea There should be a chart/graph in your notes, when your bump is measured the results are plotted on the graph.

Butterpuff · 11/01/2017 13:44

If you can remember what you bump was measuring at your last appointment a rough guide by my midwife was that 50th percentile your bump measurement in inches will be your number of weeks. Not sure how accurate that is but its what they told me.

Garethea · 11/01/2017 14:05

Ah! I see. I don't remember her writing on a chart but I will have a check when I get home.

Sometimes feel that I am missing out on stuff but I'm not sure if that is the norm or if I am just uninformed. Confused

Carolann8584 · 11/01/2017 14:18

I wasn't told about mine, just found it coz I like to read what the hospital writes in my notes Smile

Carolann8584 · 11/01/2017 14:19

Mines measured in CM not inches Smile

MotherofA · 11/01/2017 15:31

Bless you carol ! Thanks butter I'll try and have a look for threads . Back in 6 weeks for another scan and pre op consent etc . Scan went well , apparently she weighs 3lb 8 oz ! If they gain a pound a week from now then I must say I am a tad relieved I don't have to push her out Grin

Garethea · 11/01/2017 15:38

Thanks for the reassurance Carol. I hope everything goes ok on Friday for you :)

Carolann8584 · 11/01/2017 16:26

Bit worried about to size of my LO just noticed the weight (well estimated) part of the chart, It's in grams so converted it 4.4lbs! already.

I measure 30cm now so that would be about right according to Butters cm/week

Carolann8584 · 11/01/2017 16:27

Hope she doesn't gain a pound a week! that would make her a 13-14lb baby at full term!!

MotherofA · 11/01/2017 17:36

That must be BS someone I know said to me ! No way they gain that much , im going to check the app haha.
Don't worry carol she won't be massive if she is within those lines and better for her to be big and healthy than under weight Smile

HerRoyalNotness · 11/01/2017 17:41

butter I have a sore butt but only from the weekly shots I have. Only 7 more to go! Yesterday I had one in each, the normal progesterone and my rhogam shot. Thankfully my nurse has a good technique for them not to hurt so much.

melissa. How do you think you will get on with uni and a NB? I started studying in sept, and every time a deadline is coming I panic as it is. Not sure how difficult it will be with NB too. Mind you, when I put my mind to it, I can just get on with it and feel more relaxed.

MotherofA · 11/01/2017 18:09

Just checked on my app Carol, they can gain as much as 1/2 lb per week , worry over haha . Works out mine would be around 7lb8 . Let's see hey !
Does everyone have their names ? 🙊

Carolann8584 · 11/01/2017 19:32

We have ours name, keeping hush just in case it doesn't suit her when she arrives Grin
