Sorry, Calsworld, think I may have deleted you accidentally when I was reorganising the list with all the c/s changes .

weirdbird · 22/11/2006 15:44

What was going on 9 months prior to Boxing Day that so many of us have that for our due date, I'd like to know!!!

Been having BH all afternoon wouldnt mind but bump was kicking up a storm last night and I feel very bruised today.

Am very tempted to go and take a nap...

VanillaMilkshake · 22/11/2006 15:58

I was taking a nap while DH took DD to town, but was rudley awoken by crying DD and DH ordering her to take wellies off before going on carpet! Apparently she wanted to jump in a puddle on the road when a car was coming and had not stopped crying since he got her to move.

So we have now swapped, he is sleeping and I have prepared dinner and stealing a few minutes on the computer while DD watches Thomas....again!

And in front of my washing machine is one pair of wet grey (should be cream) tights and asoaking wet dress. Hey ho, I live for laundry!

Gloria42 · 22/11/2006 16:22

WB - do you really need to ask what was happening 9 months before Boxing day???
Funnily enough, it's my DP's birthday around that time!

mumatuks · 22/11/2006 16:25

hi all,

I don't know if I'm posting on the right bit or not here, but after posting my sob story about falling over, Elibean kindly invited me to join you all. (I'm on MN often enough, how do I miss these threads?)

Anyway, DB3 will be due on Dec 10th, we've found out it'll be a boy, and hopefully he'll be a homebirth nice and quick (ha! she says to herself!)
I already have DS1 who is 3, DS2 who will be 18 months v.soon, and yes I'm totally potty leaving such small age gaps! And yes, DB3 is the last one! (again, more to reassure myself rather than anyone else! )

Apart from falling yesterday, everything has been fine so far!

Good luck to all of you, and thanks for reading!

VanillaMilkshake · 22/11/2006 16:25

Was going to say looking at the top dressing table and thinking how much it needed dusting , but that's doing DH a dis-service and he's in my good books at the moment. Actually it was our Wedding Anniversary!

VanillaMilkshake · 22/11/2006 16:27

Sorry Mumatuks - crossed posts with you. Welcome .

You're not alone in the falling over - most of us on here have either fallen or fainted (or both) in recent weeks.

satinshoes · 22/11/2006 16:28

welcome mumatuks. lots of people falling over at the mo. hope you're ok.

nice to see a teeny weeny thread

VanillaMilkshake · 22/11/2006 16:29

BTW, in case you missed my earlier post about hairy legs...I am now thinking my bumps another girl - despaite everything ebing so different. Although I dont mind what it is as long as s/he is nice and quick in arriving - labour wise and due date wise!

satinshoes · 22/11/2006 16:31

VM - my bump is totoally different this time. I've craved bacon & cheese instead of fruit, had nausea instead of sickness. Everyone tells me we will be having a boy to join DD but i'm not so sure....

dublindee · 22/11/2006 16:36

Hi all,
LOL at final thread comments!

I've had a really rough few days and not been able to get to the pc to share my rants/moans unfortunately.
We just got a wireless router and had a few teething problems (now sorted thankfully!) so I've been out of the loop.

The abcess on the upper tooth that had a root canal last year has decided to return - so I am taking antibiotics and paracetamol for that.
Busy day yesterday getting sorted at the dentist's and then getting DS sorted for his meningitis jab.

Cannot wait for my appointment on Tuesday with antenatal team.
My MW has referred me again to see if they can sort out a slot for inducement on/near due date.
She understands how uncomfortable I am with my bump being so big now (19 days to go) and I'm already measuring more than term. Average night sees me up at LEAST 3-4 times.
Future MIL is bringing me to the hospital for the appointment and she's said "Bring your bag just in case!"

  • She's not eager to be a gran again - HONEST!
Elibean · 22/11/2006 16:39

Hello Mamatuks, welcome

Told you you'd be at home here, with us falling over like ninepins...

Re gender, everyone thinks I'm having a boy because my bump (apparently) is very neat, and I've not put on weight anywhere else 3 scans say its a girl, and all my friends have dumped their pink baby clothes on me as they've finished having babies, so I choose to believe the scans. So there.

Elibean · 22/11/2006 16:40

Ouch, dublindee, xpost....sorry to hear your tooth problems, sounds really painful.

weirdbird · 22/11/2006 16:40

He he

So I am not "that" insane!

One wedding Anniversary
One DP's B'day
Twas my B'day about the right time....

weirdbird · 22/11/2006 16:45

Ohhh dublindee

I sympathise greatly I had an infected gum last pregnancy and they decided to wait and see if it cleared up on its own before giving me antibiotics

The infection spread all the way to my ear before they finally stuck me on high level antibiotics to clear it, and I have a really high tolerance to pain killers so paracetamol didnt touch it.

Really hope it clears up quickly and you are pain free soon!

dublindee · 22/11/2006 16:48

Thanks weirdbird! My pain threshold is VERY low but feel guilty enough about taking penicillin while pg so not taking anything stronger than paracetamol for the pain out of principle! Welcome Mumatuks!

Gloria42 · 22/11/2006 16:49

Elibean, the things that you mention (neat bump, no other weight gain) were the very things that made my paperlady tell me I was definitely having a girl so maybe your friends & scans are right!

VanillaMilkshake · 22/11/2006 16:49

Sorry about the tooth Dee, we had the dentist yesterday and he is 'watching' one of my teeth.
But complimented me on how clean they were and said I did;nt need a scale and polish.

Just caught site of myself face n in kitchen window and though WOW are'nt I slim... bump has pulled all my hip flab forward . The turned sideways and found all my bulk again plus more.

Still hankering after the Dettol, but we are having a roast tonight and the smell coming from the kitchen is one that even dettol can't rival ATM

dublindee · 22/11/2006 17:04

Would love some roast larry for dinner with all the trimmings but will have to settle for fish instead as have no lamb in atm.

castlesintheair · 22/11/2006 17:05

For those of us that don't know what sex the baby is take a butchers at this

dublindee · 22/11/2006 17:09

Castles I hate to burst your bubble but it told me I have a 68% chance of having a girl and I KNOW it's a boy for sure. So guys for harmless fun - great test to do but don't pick all your baby clothes based on the results!!!!! :O :O :O :O :O
