Maybe this will really be the last one... until the postnatal one.

Oh and belated Happy Birthday to Anna!

judemum · 23/11/2006 09:54

My goodness- leave this thread for a while and we've covered all sorts of things!!!! Can't believe some babies are arriving so soon....good luck to all of you and esp. Eli and Lucy.
Just going to have a quick moan and then shut up. Feel utterly crap and miserable today. Had big row with DH on the way in to work and was crying so much I had to stay in the car in the car park for half an hour listening to the radio and trying to power over my blotchy face and eyes. Think we're both just a bit frazzled.... Anyway, currently hiding at my desk with hair over my eyes trying to avoid everyone as feeling a bit embarrassed about my blotchy face and eyes
Anyway, on the bright side, I also had a great orgasm last night although did panic it might send me into labour, which it did not...!

ANiceGlassofBaileys · 23/11/2006 10:00

Aww JM (())!

I had a few days like that a work a while ago. And it just takes one person to sy are you oaky and you'll be off again.

Go send someone to the vending machine for a nice hot chocolate and just chill out! How much longer have got at work?? Sorry I can't remember. Have you hit 36 weeks yet - if not take the day off saying you feel really under the weather. Nothing they can do! Oh just seen your due date above - yes you have passed 36 weeks.

Have you made up with DH? That will also play on your mind.

Baconbaps · 23/11/2006 10:06

Just wanted to post summat while the thread isn't whizzing out of control! I haven't posted much lately but have been following it as best I can.

Good luck to Eli and Lucy, and Magnolia too. Hope everything goes well for you all.

37 weeks today and no sign of anything happening which is good because I haven't got a bag packed yet!

Speaking of orgasms, I have to see to myself having no partner to help out. Although I'm not in the mood lately maybe because I'm worried about it starting me off!

I can't wait for the bump to drop down a bit as I'm getting horrid heartburn and reflux at the moment too. Still can't quite believe I'm going to have a baby soon...how silly is that!

ANiceGlassofBaileys · 23/11/2006 10:11

BB - I know the feeling. I am begining to wonder whether I am pregnant at all. Two weeks on Saturday is my due date and time is so dragging! Almost more than if I were at work. Have tried to entertain DD to amuse myself but she;s quite independant when it comes to play. Thought I might wrap up her present to bump with her this morning but she's more interested in watching Milkshake!

judemum · 23/11/2006 10:25

sort of made up with him. but when he said "and I can do without your tears" I did again fantasize about smashing the stairgate over his head. Sadly, no large objects availalbe when sat in the car!! Just think we're both tired and worn out and I'm probably not the easiest to live with at the moment, but he can be a stubborn pig too. Oh well.. yes am 37 weeks and only next week at work to get through and then I can try and chill a bit. Am not really busy at work but its just the effort of getting my fat behind in here every day and dealing with the odd piece of work.....sorry, I can tell I'm going to whinge all day!!

judemum · 23/11/2006 10:27

Bacon- we're about the same stage and ditto with the hospital bag and heartburn. Find it heard to eat much either as baby still not dropped much. Actually, I did put some things in a pile on the floor last night to take to the hospital, which made me feel a bit more oganised. But need to dig suitcase out of loft- another job for DH.....

Baconbaps · 23/11/2006 10:39

Aw, sorry you're feeling so crap JM. Just put it down to one of those days and take it easy. I guess you're both on tenterhooks seeing as there's not long to go. This baby making lark is v stressful!

I've got most of the things I need for the hospital bag and I'm hoping to get the last bits today. It's just putting them in the bag I can't seem to get round to. I've still got to get a pushchair, cot, bouncy chair, bath/bowl etc too! I think it's probably because I tend to put things off anyway and having noone around to chivvy me along makes it worse. But then having a baby should be enough motivation in itself!

I feel like hibernating to be honest but that makes it sound like I'm not looking forward to the bab coming and I am really. I think I'm having one of those days as well!

judemum · 23/11/2006 10:49

Bacon

If you're feeling like that, I would really recommend ordering most things online- kiddicare is excellent. The smaller things like bouncy chairs etc are just so much easier just to click your mouse and wait for them to be delievered and frankly they are all much of a muchneww I think, although realise cot and pram you probably want to see and feel before buying. What did we do without internet shopping though hey?!

castlesintheair · 23/11/2006 11:10

Eli - good for you! Will be thinking about you all day tomorrow and look forward to hearing from you soon. Where are you having DD btw? I'm going to Kingston again. Thought it was brill last time.

BB I'm a last minute bird too. I tend to think things might go away if I don't do anything about them, no getting away from this though is there ? I would recommend getting stuff now though for the baby. Ordering on line is SO much easier too. We were completely unprepared when DS1 came along but at least I had DH to go racing out in the middle of the night buying things.

castlesintheair · 23/11/2006 11:14

Judemum, sorry about the tiff. It's awful when you are trying to control yourself at work. Been there SOOOOO many times. I'm a bag of 'mones at the moment but at least I don't have to face people at work. DH said to me last night for the 2nd time "PLEASE don't get depressed again". Effing tosser - I could have bashed him over the head with our still unpacked/un-put-in-place stairgate if I could find it! He's lovely really just concerned about me but they do say daft things ...

Loulou000 · 23/11/2006 11:16

Hehe 9 months before Boxing Day I was having a spring break in the Canary Islands. Apparently just what was needed after 15 months of trying.

LOL at Vanilla's hip flab. I was peering at myself last night thinking my hips had disappeared, until I realised it was just that the bump had filled out my waist.

I live on gaviscon, but the tablets, and I love them. I guess it's the knowing relief is imminent that gets associated with the taste.

And OMG more babies are so on the way now! So exciting. Good luck to Lucy and Eli.

I have found John Lewis great for ordering baby stuff online. It's not the cheapest but they have great customer service and it makes life so easy.

OP posts:
judemum · 23/11/2006 11:47

Castles - "effing tosser" . Precisely. Anyway DH just rang to sort of apologise and I sort of forgave him so feeling a bit better now. Will shut up about this now and will try not to perpetuate things thise evening by sulkking like a little girl .

Also agree John Lewis is good as is Boots. I have had so much stuff delivered as its unreal- would never have managed it otherwise.

Right better do some work.

judemum · 23/11/2006 11:49

LouLou- before I go, love the fact that you can remember when you conceived. I can too. I can remember the EXACT bonk too!! Apologies if TMI, but it was up against a wall after a heavy night of boozing. Aren't I classy! I could tell within about 3 days that I was PG.....

judemum · 23/11/2006 11:49

a wall in our house by the way and NOT round the back of the railway station. Not that much of a tramp!!

annaspanner · 23/11/2006 11:49

Hurrah-being taken for a belated bday pressie this afternoon-leg wax and pedicure! I'm really looking forward to it. Me telling DP to suggest 'pampering' pressies if anyone asked, has obviously worked!

annaspanner · 23/11/2006 11:52

You can remember the exact bonk, Judemum? wow! I like to think it was when we were away skiing but really don't know-was 3 weeks out in my calculations according to the doctor!

Loulou000 · 23/11/2006 11:57

Oh pampering sounds lovely. Could do with a pedicure. I haven't seen my toenails in such a long time.

LOL judemum, I was imagining a wall in a dark alleyway...

weirdbird · 23/11/2006 11:58

Opps

I just ate an entire 500 ml tub of Lemon Sorbet

Another here for ordering online, ordered some bits through ebay power sellers, amazingly fast turnaround, ordered the doomoo seat on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday...

magnolia1 · 23/11/2006 12:44

The consultant agreed to bring the section forward!!!!!!!!
Now going in Next Thursday 30th November
Consultant was fantastic but the midwives disagreed with her and looked at me like a piece of shit when she changed the date So I left feeling worse than when I went in

Loulou000 · 23/11/2006 12:58

That's great news Magnolia. Take no notice of the midwife - for goodness sake, there's no need for that sort of behaviour from a grown up.

OP posts:
accessorizequeen · 23/11/2006 13:00

awww, Magnolia, don't let the bloomin' midwives get you down, it's what you wanted & needed so that's brilliant.
annaspanner, I too turned 37 on Tuesday, weird huh? On my 2nd tho (baby that is).
Castles, are you there? Bought some homeopathic stuff at boots, did I get right things?? Sepia, pulsatilla & arnica (all 30c), thought arnica in case I had section? And you mentioned nux something but I stupidly didn't write down anything before I went to town (well, trawling the threads would take hours!). Really v.keen on homepathic remedies during labour & afterwards, want to be prepared. DP says things like that to me about my depression too, but stairgate welded in so not able to think of bashing him on head. But grrrrr it annoys me.
Who's having slob days? Me too! DS at nursery 2 days & mum's another (I usually work 3) but of course ds has realised I'm not at work so kicked up huge fuss this morning about nursery. Anyone else encountering this, he's been so happy there to date. Perhaps I should ask dp to take him in the mornings?
When will we hear about Lucy???

castlesintheair · 23/11/2006 13:16

Judemum, am very disappointed your LO wasn't conceived down some back alley or behind a bus-stop preferably whilst eating chips I can remember ours too - very dull - in bed.

Magnolia, great about next week. A week today!!! Effing m/w's I think some of them enjoy seeing us suffer. I had the opposite when they were booking DD for c-section - m/w got in a HUGE strop with me cos I refused to have DD 4 weeks early just 'cos it suited them administratively

AQ, sound's like you have the right stuff there. I've got all mine ready and waiting too - let's hope it works this time Not sure what the Nux was? Nux Vomica possibly but not sure that's suitable. Will check & come back. I think I mentioned Urtica Urens to help with milk production - that worked for me.

weirdbird · 23/11/2006 14:43

Its Nat Mur if its the same thing I was recommended, I am hoping to get a Homeopathic pregnancy kit, which has everything you might want to take in it. Just need to phone the woman and order it.

Am also going to take something else to try and prompt labour naturally at 38 weeks.

I will see the Consultant next week and will find out if they want to try and induce me early, in which case I will ask to try homeopathic options / Accupuncture first...
