pebblemum · 22/09/2006 18:02

I always used to watch the Champ. It would be on every christmas and i would cry my eyes out, iwas only about 6 then. I cry at films even when im not pg, im just a born weeper. Not long after meeting dh we sat down to watch Armageddon and near the end i bawled my eyes out, luckily dh never knew as he had fallen asleep

I cant stop eating jelly at the moment, the shop bought ones with fruit pieces in them. They were bought for ds1's packed lunches but ive been eating them instead-what he doesnt know what hurt him lol. I love spicy food but if i eat it when im pg i always suffer so out goes all indians/curries for 9months.

Enjoy yur bath mummymelling!!

JonahB · 22/09/2006 19:04

A big congrats Loopy!!!

Ah, LG&T, we're on the take-away curry tonight too. Mmmmm. I also got terrible indigestion last time round. Before I was pgt, i hated Gaviscon. Once I was prgt, you couldn't prise it out of my fingers for 9 months. Gaviscon Extra was my heaven in a bottle. If I have to give up alcohol for 9 months, there have to be a few simple, chillied pleasures in life..

Is anyone else who is on their 2nd or more, just keep remembering all the less than favourable consequences of pgy flooding back?

cacaboo · 22/09/2006 20:44

Congratulations loopylula! I've an edd of 28th May as well. I was interested to read your post about being thirsty all the time - that sounds exactly like me! I'm particularly hungry at the moment as well but I put that down to being a bit tired. Apart from that and sore (and bigger) boobs, I'm not suffering too much yet, but am feeling a bit apprenhensive about what might start in a week or so's time...

twelveyeargap · 22/09/2006 20:52

Hello Ladies and welcome to all the new people. The thread(s) have exploded since I was on a few days ago! Thanks scootermum, I have my appt booked in for UCLH for Nov 1st. Seems a long time to wait. JonahB - my edd is 19/05 as well.

I'm too lazy to go and look at the stats page and see when we're all due. I'm 6 weeks now. Is anyone else sure they are/ were showing a bit by 6 weeks? Or am I just getting fat? This is my second. I know they say you show earlier, but this is ridiculous!

pebblemum · 22/09/2006 21:52

This will be my third baby and this morning i looked in the mirror after getting out of the bath and thought i looked 5months gone instead of only 5wks.

With ds2 i had really bad sciatica (sp?) dh used to have to roll me out of bed in the mornings and if i laid down anywhere i got stuck and needed help. That wasnt a beached whale seen on weymouth beach in the summer of 2003, it was meso i am really dreading it returning. If you've had it with one pregnancy is it likely to return next time?

aprilmeadow · 23/09/2006 07:54

Wow a part 2 thread already!!

Welcome Loopylula

I have amended my EDD in the stats to the 3rd May. So far there are quite a few of us ladies due on the same day, but the question is... how many of these little beans will actually turn up on their due dates? I am not holding out any hope

Went to bed at 6pm last night - as soon as i got in - as i felt pooey. I have to say that i am getting fed up of being such a moaner! Roll on the 2nd trimester when hopefully sickness will be a distant memory

Tyakit · 23/09/2006 09:48

Just found the new thread - wondered where everyone had gone! Hope all OK and not too sicky today. I was worrying as my boobs are not sore now and I hadn't felt sick a couple of days but the icky nausea is back this morning .

Had good news yesterday - have appt at the Rosie on 12th Oct. Had DD there but they no longer accept referrals from my postcode. GP referred me anyway as they sometimes take people if they think they will have spare capacity but was warned that this was very unlikely. So was very surprised and pleased to get appt letter. Really didn't want to have to travel to Chelmsford or Colchester as Cambridge is much closer to home and have good memories of having DD there .

Just have to hope all goes ok at my scan on Weds now...
