Hi Gingerbear,

Just looked at your thread about being up the duff. Congratulations - you are due a few days after me (I am due 28th).

Megglevache - ahem, I get quite sad if ignored - I am due on 28th with DC3.

dejags · 24/09/2006 13:19

Sorry I meant you are due a few days before me. God i have a squashy brain already.

I have found it's different this time - I haven't told anybody in RL. We aren't going to find out the sex.

Come to think of it we don't even know where the baby will be born - we are just finishing off our big trip. The baby will have to be called Beijing

largeginandtonic · 24/09/2006 14:30

Hello gingerbeer and dejags congrats to you both! So many babies!!!

Ginger beer this is baby #6 for me. Already have 4 ds and 1dd, very hopeful this one will be a sister or my dd may leave home in disgust, far too many boys i hear her shout on a daily basis!

Hope everyone is ok today

MKG · 24/09/2006 18:17

Is anyone having strange and vivid dreams? Mine are becoming very crazy yet very real. Last night was weird. One minute I'm breastfeeding the new baby (which is strange because I didn't bf my ds). The next minute goats are falling down mountains.

JonahB · 24/09/2006 18:47

Evening all. Only symptoms from me are total tiredness and preg brain kicking in.
This afternoon, having made DS's tea, i put the loaf of bread in the sink. DH trots over, picks up the slightly damp bread bag out of said sink and sighs. I also deeply ashamed to admit I cried through the X factor last night. I cried when a girl got through, I cried when another one got rejected. DH sighed again....
Hope you are all well...

largeginandtonic · 24/09/2006 20:00

You sound like me jonahb, i cud cry at everything at the moment. Am not doing it yet but previous prgs have forgotten how to get to places i go to everyday, I would just get in the car and mind blank! I have been known to put milk in the cupboard, cutlery in the bin and rubbish in the dishwasher, am just waiting for it to kick in

MKG lol at your dreams. They sound great!
Gingerbeer, i know, i know madness. Why the hell do they all come out sooooo cute, i also blame mother nature for that forget the bad bits during prg and labour. I may video this one

largeginandtonic · 24/09/2006 20:58

jonahb just watched casualty, god damn it there are not enough tissues in the world! Makes me very glad to be in this country though. Cant wait till we all have a baby as cute as that one

InTheseShoes · 24/09/2006 22:15

Hello
Just been to ThatLondon for a wedding - had to get up at 6am yesterday, get a train etc - all my friends knew immediately that I was pg as I wasn't drinking, but that's ok, I'm not keeping it quiet. I was pooped by about 7pm but struggled on until 10, when I staggered back to the hotel and collapsed. Really tired today and really really hungry as well.

Welcome more newcomers, and congratulations!

cacaboo · 25/09/2006 07:47

Hello, hope everyone has had a good weekend! I'm not sure whether I will be on here all that much longer, as I had a little bleed last night. Seems to have stopped this morning, but I'm daren't let myself hold out too much hope. I guess I wait a bit and see what happens, not a lot I can do to influence it really.

Anyway I'm not at work today and so have a day with DS to focus on and enjoy. We're going to the dentist which he seems to be looking forward to?!!!

aprilmeadow · 25/09/2006 08:57

I will be keeping everything crossed that as is ok for you cacaboo xx

aprilmeadow · 25/09/2006 08:57

as = all

largeginandtonic · 25/09/2006 09:32

oh cacaboo, sending you baby glue and lots of hugs. Ihope its just a little bleed and nothing to worry about.

I get all the kids back today, hooray! Tainted slightly though as i have to go to the hosp with ds #3, he had a heart murmur picked up last year when he was 2, and they want to check it out. Will let you know how it goes later, i hope its gone.

SKYTVADICT · 25/09/2006 10:07

Good luck at the hosp lg&t and fingers crossed for you cacaboo.

I feel a lot better today so why does that make me worry? Perhaps I shall just worry until this baby is here and in my arms! Just eaten some mixed nuts and raisins coz I fancied them but really stuggling to drink enough - anyone any tips?

Coz I feel better I must get on with housework but still here I sit

JonahB · 25/09/2006 11:52

Cacaboo, fingers are all tightly crossed for you!!!

LG&T,good luck at the hosp. Hope it all goes okay. Glad I'm not the only emotional wreck who really shouldn't be allowed near sharp objects.

Just been to the dr today to book in. Cue a 15 min rant from said dr about the govt closing down our local dr-led maternity units and turning them into midwife-led units. Not that I didn't agree with every word he said, however, I was edging towards the door, handbag in hand, trying to escape his soapbox and get back to work. Not sure it was terribly professional of him to voice his thoughts, but as I a, like him, b, agree with him, he can vent his spleen with me....

mummymelling · 25/09/2006 12:58

ShowOfHands · 25/09/2006 14:32

Hey mummymelling, good to see you! We're due on the same day, so 6+4 today. I keep thinking my symptoms have disappeared (cue lots of boob prodding and anxious dashes to loo to check for bleeding) and then lo and behold they're back with a vengeance. I threw my thermometer away yesterday (I was still temping just to make sure my temp's up) as every time there was a very slight dip I panicked. It's flippin' ridiculous I know, but after having a m/c it's hard to relax. I have my booking in appt on Oct 5th (exactly 8wks) and I'm hoping that will put my mind at rest just a little bit. I want to stop worrying and start planning!

ShowOfHands · 25/09/2006 16:58

A colleague just asked me if I'm pg! She said I have a bump and though I haven't paid much attention, she's right. I'm only 6+4 with my first and a size 10, flat stomach usually. Is this normal?

pebblemum · 25/09/2006 18:35

Hello everyone. Had a very hectic day yesterday with ds2's birthday, lots of presents, running around and mess but it was worth it. Every present he opened was received with a bog 'WOW' from ds2 so i think he enjoyed it all too.
I went to see my Dr today, everything seems ok, she has put my EDD date forward by a day so its now 24th May. I had to choose where to have this baby today as well. For both my boys i gave birth in Portsmouth, once in the main hospital and the other in the meternity unit (which was a lot better) but as i would like to know the sex of htis baby i am going to have to go to St Richards in Chichester. Apparantly it is really nice there and they give you two scans whereas Portsmouth only give you one. They also provide a family room which is attached to the delivery suite so that family/friends can wait there for you and you can pop in during labour to see them without having to leave your room. All i have to do is wait for the M/W to contact me now to arrange a home visit.
I am definatley putting on weight. I bought a denim skirt off of ebay during the summer and it was too big, i put it on today and it only just does up Will have to go shopping very soon as im going to run out of clothes that fit, oh what a shame
Hope everything is ok cacaboo, will keep everything crossed for you and send you lots of {{hugs}}

aprilmeadow · 25/09/2006 19:13

I am already in maternity trousers just because my usual clothes wont do up, or if they do by the time it gets to the afternoon they are too tight. Have to say that i am loving the Maternity range in New Look. Really nice clothes for a bargain price When pg with ds (only 2 yrs ago) it was really hard to find decent clothes, but as soon as i had him all the shops started stocking them. So i thought this time i would go all out and buy what i wanted and not just the basics.

Had a slightly better day today, which is good as Monday is my day off and i tend to do lots of fun things with Jack. We have swimming in the morning which is great. It teaches them to swim under water but also to know that if they fall in to turn and find a wall to hold onto. He loves it.

Hope your ds's hosp appt went ok LG&T.
mummymelling i cant stand that programme makes me grateful when they put Balamory on!!

Hope everyone else is doing well xx
