Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Jessinwa-I know a lot of people who get induced for being late and end up with C-sections. I wonder why that is? I would also love a home birth, but people look at me like I have three heads.
I hope you have good luck with your move. I moved twice while pg and it was not fun. Once at 7 months and the other 1 week before ds was born. The worst part about it was not being able to paint or lift things. It was nice because I pretty much told everyone what to do though.

Here's something strange. With ds I had a strange aversion to chicken. Last night it reared its ugly head again. I spent all day making pozole (a Mexican soup) and when it came down to eat, I couldn't bare to look at it because of the chicken. I hate how in pregnancy what you like changes without any warning.

MKG ive suddenly gone off cheese. When away MIL made us cheese sandwiches for lunch and i tried to eat a couple as i was hungry and there was nothing else at the time but it was horrible. Just thinking of eating cheese wants me feel like being sick. Yuk!! Now jelly and fruit, thats a different matter. I cant get enough of it. I either buy the individual pots (Del Monte etc) or just sit down with a whole tin of fruit cocktail, it has to be tropical though.

My MIL has decided that this baby has to be 12 days late just so that it is born on 5th June. She thinks it would be good to have the birth date 05/06/07. Is she mad. Its ok for her shes not the one who would be walking round like a stressed hippo by the time that date came around. She has obviously forgotten how frustrating it is even when you still have 1wk to go to your due date let alone when you are overdue.

InTheseShoes · 09/10/2006 20:17

I'm mad on cheese! Can't think about anything that has tinned tomatoes in it at the moment - had a pizza without tomato sauce last week.

Feeling well still, just tired, especially in the middle of the day and in the evening. Bought some maternity jeans on ebay tonight, my other jeans and trousers are getting somewhat tight!

I love ebay. I think thats where im going to get some of my maternity clothes. Not worth spending hundreds buying new when you only wear them a few months and as this is definately my last i wont be keeping them afterwards. Although saying that i am going to treat myself to something nice and expensive to wear for my mums 60th party in december. Its going to be a case of de-ja-vue. I was at the same stage of pregnancy with ds1 for my mums 50th (to the exact day). I couldnt have timed it better if i had tried. Not that i really wanted to be pg again for another of mums big birthays but never mind, as long as i can buy something really nice to wear!!

MKG · 09/10/2006 23:40

Yeah, fruit sounds good.

My eating has become completely erratic. I'm finding over the course of the last few days that Not only do I hate chicken. I am not tolerating sweets well. Chocolate milk (which is good because it is the only milk I can get down) yes, but sweets no. I have no appetite. But when I sit down to eat something I go crazy.

JonahB · 10/10/2006 08:15

Jessinwa, wash your mouth out with soap and water. Robbie was in Take That, the greatest ever boyband EVER!!!! Oh no, my secret is out, I am a closet Take That fan!!!! But I do agree, mmmmmmmm??..

MKG, when I?m not pgt, I love pasta with a tomato and pesto sauce. My DH makes a great one. All through last pgy and now seemingly during this one, I can?t touch it. It?s the pesto rather than the tomatoes for me. It just makes my stomach churn. Weird, isn?t it? You love food usually and as soon as the little cross appears on the stick you can?t touch it. It took me a while once DS was born to get back into eating it again.

Ladies, I must have missed this amongst the chat, what part of the US are you both from? I?m off to Las Vegas at the end of the month. Work unfortunately, however, I?m still very excited. I?ve never been before AND I get to fly posh class with Virgin. 10 hours of unbroken sleep potential

Oh well, suppose I better go and do some work? sigh??

redbullbloodandbump · 10/10/2006 08:20

this morning got the midwife coming round to meet her and go through some stuff, its the same midwife i had with ds!!, dp is getting very paranoid about my eating as im noy eating as much as i usually do its down to felling sick all the time and ive gone off loads of food cant even stand meat now, cant do vegetables or anything hot so its sarnys all the time at the moment and loads of fruit!!

SKYTVMOSTHAUNTEDADDICT · 10/10/2006 10:17

Hi all

Been away to Liverpool for the weeked to an 80th birthday party. Lovely weekend but extremely tired now!

Also told lots of DPs relatives that we are expecting which we hadn't really meant to do but some were wondering why I was driving!

Found out yesterday that another of DP's football friends wife is expecting 27 April. His best mate at works wife already due 25 April (having their scan today). I am having problems getting my head round it as if our pregnancy doesn't continue I don't know how I'll cope with theirs. DP doesn't really understand, I suppose my hormones could just be haywire and I will be chuffed for them. Anyway our scan 20 October so not long to wait now. Feeling a bit low today as tired so feeling a bit negative I suppose. Also the baby that I mc in April would have been due this weekend coming. I am wondering if anyone will remember but me?

twelveyeargap · 10/10/2006 11:16

I'm hearing you jessinwa. I do actually wish I would just get sick and get it over with. (This is what happens when I do actually drink too much, typical!)

Is that WA as in Washington State? (Nosey, sorry!) That's a big move to Australia, but I don't think I've ever met anyone who regretted moving there. Good luck! Won't be easy moving. EEK MKG! Moving at 39 weeks!

I think I may be homeless for Christmas this year. The vendor of our new house won't complete until Dec 29th (going on a 4 week holiday for God's sake) and our landlord wants us to move out mid November. Mr TYG has emailed her to beg, and tell her I'm pregnant, it's Christmas and so on, but if I were her; I wouldn't want to mess aroung my buyer. She's accepted an offer and the buyers had the survey done within three days, so I'm guessing they're moving fast. Boo. Various friends have offered us a place to stay, but I hate imposing on people for that long and am dreading living out of a suitcase.

twelveyeargap · 10/10/2006 11:18

That is sad Skytv. Don't be surprised if people forget. It's not out of badness, but it's not something that most people would remember. Concentrate on the baby you're carrying now. Only 10 days to the scan and you've got loads of people rooting for the two of you!

scootermum · 10/10/2006 11:27

Hi all,
Someone has just driven in to the back of me on my way to work again!Thats the 2nd time in two weeks. Can people not use their breaks anymore? This time I am phoning injury lawyers 4 u, even though its against my principles, becuase my neck feels like its in a vice.
Oh its so frustrating!
SKYTV-maybe no one will remember but you-no one did for me, but its you that matters.I had a quiet day on the anniversary of my mc, and went for a walk and thought about the baby I lost. Its funny how even though the baby was never here, the whisper of them stays with you forever.I will be thinking of you anyway...

Just scrolled down a bit.Take That were on radio 1 this morning doing a lovely interview.I thought their new song was quite good as well...There is no shame in it ladies!

Feel as sick as a pike today.Even before was rammed by a 4 by 4.I have come to dread driving down the A10.It will very possibly be the death of me I fear..

twelveyeargap · 10/10/2006 12:06

Oh Scootermum! That's awful. You poor thing. I don't agree with "litigious" society either, but if you're genuinely injured then you're entitled to receive compensation for your medical treatment, loss of earnings, inconvenience etc. That's why drivers are insured. I'm not surprised that your neck is sore after a run in with a 4x4! What a fright you must have gotten too. How are you feeling now? A10 is Shoreditch to Kings Lynn, yes?

scootermum · 10/10/2006 12:58

Shoreditch to somewhere anyway! Its the Enfield bit that is trying to kill me it seems.Byt the time I get to owrk in Islington I am a nervous wreck.Grrr.ruddy commute.I think it must be the hormones but Im quite upset about it all, which isnt like me in the slightest.
Also dd is teething at the moment and it is as if she has been posessed by a demon! She cant sleep, she screams constantly, except when watching Philip Schofield on this morning apparently-the old silver fox has a good effect on her..Blimey.

Golly Im full of woe today.Sorry all. Will try to pep self up.

scootermum · 10/10/2006 12:59

Also its had a very negative effect on my spelling it seems-sorry!

JonahB · 10/10/2006 13:25

JonahB · 10/10/2006 13:27
