Just starting off the new thread! Let's hope this brings us lots of new babies :)

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
vbab78 · 07/06/2006 08:12

Amen to that!

Hope baby comes today or tomorrow so we might have a chance of being home ready for the football on Saturday. Even though DH obviously puts me and baby ahead of the football in importance I'm sure it would save a lot of hassle if it was all sorted by then. FINGERS CROSSED. I've just got a feeling baby isn't going anywhere until Saturday at the very earliest maybe even next week. Sad

bubbly1973 · 07/06/2006 08:27

glad to see a new thread, other one a tad long

vbab....my dh same as yours, but i also love the world cup and ds has been invited to his best friends b'day party between...2pm-4pm!! but im not taking him cos im watching footy! unless of course im in hospital....

i dont think dh would be very pleased if he had to miss match, good job labour room has tv in it!

well it did the last time i was there, maybe its been pinched since! as i heard there were some idiots around pinching stuff from there if it was nailed down!

how about everyone puts down when they are due so it saves us looking back on other thread?

Mitchell81 · 07/06/2006 11:03

Hi Emkana
Just want to wish you all the luck in the world for your little bundles arrival, I hope this time is not too stressful for you. I have read your threads but have never posted. I have a daughter who has special needs, but we didn't know until she was born. I now am waiting on the arrival of baby brother, who we don't know whether or not he has the same condition. I know you probbaly feel the uncertainity is the worst feeling. Any baby is special and I am sending you all our love and thoughts to you.
Sorry for posting, but just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you.

KathrynWales · 07/06/2006 11:03

Kathryn: Don't we all

bubbly1973 · 07/06/2006 11:11

waswondering, it would be fab to have all the birth announcements on here too so would be nice to read them

hope being a new mum is going great for you and cant wait to hop over to postnatal june thread

emkana, i too have been reading your threads, but havent had anything helpful or useful to say, but have prayed for you and your family that you cope as well as is possible, i think your a very brave lady and wish you all the best on the immenent arrival of your little baby

trinity how comes your having a sweep today? good luck and hope it is okay, let us know

666 hope labour starts for you soon, must be a bit of a drag in this hot weather, i feel overdue and im not even due till tomorrow!! everyone including myself thought id have this one early and because it hasnt happened i feel overdue...but still loving being pregnant and feeling these precious kicks for last time this week

bubbly1973 · 07/06/2006 11:13

kathryn, we all wish that hey!! lol

how long are you all planning to stay in hospital?

im planning on 2nights away coming home on 3rd day...have a baby already and decided hospital is the only chance i have of having rest and not doing anything!! Blush

Mitchell81 · 07/06/2006 11:16

bubbly1973: Midwife says I should get out on 3rd day, Consultant says up to 5 days. Just heard someone from Antenatal class got out day 2 after Elective C/S, So I am hoping day 2 or 3 with DH doing everything for me at home.

Hourglass · 07/06/2006 11:29

Hello all. I turn 32 on 14th June, my DD turns 3 today and I'm due 18th June.
But I seem to have passed the impatient stage and have now, since I started leave this week, moved into somewhere much more surreal where the reality of having a baby within 2-ish weeks just seems very distant and unrelated to me. Maybe I got ready too early? (hospital bag packed at about 32 weeks!)
I'm sure I'm making no sense at all but I thought I'd share my thoughts with you all!

mrsbabookaloo · 07/06/2006 11:29

Hi all, and a big hello and welcome back to the thread to Emkana. I've been following your progress and thinking of you throughout; what a time you've had, so many months of anxiety and confusion. Special good luck to you and your special little one.

What has happened to Lilac? I hope she's just busy with her baby. I log on every day to see if she's posted

Bubbly: I'm having it at a home from home birth centre and could stay in for as little as 6 hours after the birth! Or up to 24 hours. I think I'd rather be at home anyway: the food is better!

Trinity, I'm curious too, about why they're giving you a sweep before you're due.

My stats:
Me: 32
DH: 35
First baby
Due: 05/06
Sex: girl
Hoping for natural birth in pool.....Well, OK, right now I'm just hoping for any birth at all!! It's not 06/06 anymore, I've cleaned the kitchen floor this morning, I've washed all her little things, I declare myself READY for this baby!

Ha ha, I won't be thinking that when it's 4 days in and I realise there was no way of being really ready!

AdelaideS · 07/06/2006 12:43

Hi All
My stats;
Due 27 june

Good Luck for this afternoon Trinity...and thinking of you Emkana, have been following your threads but not posted.
Hourglass; I so understand what you mean, I spent (wasted) a good half-hour this morning trying to imagine a baby around the place and I just can't.
