We have just found out we're expecting baby no 2 in Jan 2012 - how excited? I cannot tell you.

Right now though, I'm bogged down with thoughts at how it could all go wrong instead of enjoying...

We have been trying for over 2 years...so this is a much desired little bubba!!

salt - I wish water worked for me too! But at least I can now compete with the DH

bunny - Peppermint tea sounds great! Thanks for the idea :) And I have become an insomniac, but that may be because of the newness of the entire situation. This was an unexpected surprise for us. We're just waiting until the doc appointment Tuesday to confirm everything and reassure us that all is as it should be at this early stage.

Hi all.

Were back from holiday. which ended in total dissaster with my parents going hone a day early. my relationship with them is a whole thread in relationships!

Little bean is making me very very tired. i have zero energy right now.

Looking forward to my next scan on Thursday to make sure there is a baby in there

Hi everyone!

I'm due on 6th January and cannot wait to hit 12 weeks - only three more to go! Still trying to get my head around the fact I'm pregnant, actually - it happened faster than we thought. This is my first and I have a scan booked for the end of June... was hoping it'd be sooner as I've been referred to the high-risk midwife team due to high blood pressure (which I really don't have - hospitals just stress me out and my readings soar!).

Anyway, lovely to meet you all and I'm wishing everyone well with the weeks ahead!

Hi all. Started to bleed this afternoon, called NhS direct and am now at my local hospital waiting to see a doctor. Am so scared something is wrong. Hope next time I post is with good news. Hope ur all ok.

Congratulations everyone reference your pregnancy. I'm 9 weeks pregnant due on 3 January. Have had severe morning sickness since week 5 which has been awful. I'm hoping the sickness stops by week 12... although yesterday and today I don't feel too back or sick yet so fingers crossed!

Bunny. the worst thing is always the waiting and not knowing .

However as a little reassurance.

When i was pregnant with dd About 6-7 weeks gone i had he most horrendous bleeding and pains i was convinced it was a mc as i had had one previously. dh (then dp) rushed me to a+e as the amount of blood was making me very weak.

We sat in a+e for hours and when finally seen and examined the Dr told me yea i had mc; he then gave me some tablets for infection.

For some reason dh told me not to take the tablets until after we had a scan later that week, anyway i will get to my point!

Went for the scan a week later and there she was with a very strong heartbeat..throughout my pregnancy with dd i was always told what a great heartbeat she had.

What i am trying to say to you is don't give up hope until you see for sure yourself on that scan as the body can play some pretty horrible tricks on you in pregnancy.

Hi all, thanks so much for your encouragement. Glad to have a positive update fr you. Had a scan first thing this morning, saw a very small sac and a tiny heartbeat, but it's definitely there, and blood tests came back normal. I'll get anther scan in two weeks time but they were happy to let me go. Just got to rest now. Hope you've been enjoying the jubilee despite the rain.

Hi bunny glad its come back good news.

Acupuncture is amazing for lots of things if anyone wants to give it ago. Morning sickness turning baby when breach etc.

Find someone who is qualified tho in pregnancy as lots arent.

skinny they think 6weeks because of the size of the sac, we have thought it was 4wks as my dates are all over the place. Am feeling so much better just trying to rest with DH after what's felt like a very trying 24hrs!

Hello all!
I'm 5 weeks pregnant and am due on 30 January! I have a scan booked in 2 weeks time, because I had an ectopic pregnancy 2 years ago. Can't let myself get excited until I know it's in the right place this time.. I had very sore boobs and bloating for about a week but now seems normal again, which worries me 'cos I want reassuring signs that the pregnancy is advancing. It's going to be a long wait until the scan..

Off for my scan this morning. Had been feeling really hopeless but been resting since Friday & bleeding/mucous seems to have eases so am allowing myself a glimmer of hope! Have hardly slept & can't face breakfast so am looking forward to just getting it over and done with.

Great news everyone else though. I had acupuncture when I was overdue with DS. She was really confident my labour would start within 48 hours. It didn't but I didn't mind and would do it again next time as it was so relaxing and at least I felt I was doing something to move baby along!

Thanks skinny. All went well - we are both in shock now! They put me a week behind (6w+3 rather than 7w+3) and could see no reason for the bleeding but did advise caution since it is early days. They invited me back for another scan in a fortnight but I've said I'll leave it and call them if there's any more sinister goings on.

Is it Thursday you go? Good luck! I've just realised you guys are talking about acupuncture and it was reflexology I went for! Clearly my brain has yet to recover from DS..
