We have just found out we're expecting baby no 2 in Jan 2012 - how excited? I cannot tell you.

Right now though, I'm bogged down with thoughts at how it could all go wrong instead of enjoying...

We have been trying for over 2 years...so this is a much desired little bubba!!

Very nervous as had a mc in march at 6 weeks, going for an early scan in the 11th June and can't tell you how nervous I am!
I don't even feel pregnant yet, no sore boobs or sickness ect, I have a 19mo DS and when I was pregnant with him i was really sick! Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed!

americaninbritain · 31/05/2012 15:19

Well, after the 6th POAS coming out with a BFP, the mumsnet due date calculator has me at January 29. Will be going to doc next week for (quite likely unnecessary) confirmation. In the meantime - hello January ladies Grin

Fletch1 · 31/05/2012 16:32

Hi everyone

I'm due on the 1st January so not sure if I belong in this thread or the December one :) This will be my second. I have a gorgeous 4 YO DD already who is desperate to be a big sister so will probably explode with excitement when we finally tell her the big news.

It all happened really quickly for us so we are still in shock a bit I think but also very happy. We are both only children so a bit scared about the whole dynamics of having 2 Confused

Anyway, I'm 9+2and not had any appointments or scans yet. First appointment on 8th June.

Been feeling really nauseous which for me is horrendous as I suffer from emetophobia (an extreme fear of vomit) so been pretty miserable. I didn't suffer at all with DD so making me think this one is going to be a boy!

So, good luck and congratulations to everyone! Looking forward to hearing all your scan stories.

Hormonalhell · 31/05/2012 21:46

Me too fletch, ii have emetophobia and having nausea, it's different tho although still unpleasant

MamaMary · 31/05/2012 23:04

Hello everyone,

I'm due - according to MN calculator! - on Jan 28th.

Pregnant with DC2! Excited yet no time to dwell on it really as very busy with work atm.

Nausea in the mornings and very tired at certain points of the day!

xx

americaninbritain · 01/06/2012 06:04

Bunny, Skinny, Salt and Hormonal - Any tips for getting rid of the gas? Blush

theevileyeddragon · 01/06/2012 08:30

Well i don't know about the others but my gas is lines to constipation it would seem!!

Dh brought me some herbal relief tablets which are okay for pregnancy from tesco i will let you know if they work.

Only about 8 months to go

notsoold · 01/06/2012 15:43

Hi there I am 8 weeks gone and it will be our third child. We already have a dd (18) and a ds (13) so although planned it is happy happy news. I am 40 and the gp told me very clearly how low my chances were...
May I join you gals here?
So far feeling really good just very tired...

SundaySmile · 01/06/2012 22:09

Congratulations all! I am due start of jan (5th I think). It'll be my first, had mixed feelings about a potential Christmas/new year baby but now thinking its a really lovely time to add a new addition to the family and if it's late then it'll be something to brighten up a fairly boring month of the year!

dietcokeandwine · 01/06/2012 22:57

Hello and congratulations to everyone...please may I join in too? Discovered a couple of days ago that I'm pregnant with our 3rd Smile Total (and totally wonderful) shock as we have needed IVF to conceive in the past and we were just about to get the ball rolling to do one final IVF cycle in our attempts to conceive a sibling for our two boys. So this does feel like a bit of a miracle (especially as I'm 40 this year), but I am trying not to get too carried away as I also have a history of miscarriage and it's such early days....But thinking positive I am due around 25 January. And I have a summer birthday and an autumn one in my other two children, so nice to add a winter one to the mix Grin

SkinnyMarinkADink · 01/06/2012 23:24

By the way the evil eyed dragon was me posting on a different name

americaninbritain · 02/06/2012 04:00

Hi skinny aka dragon Smile Are they working? I'm combating the possibility of constipation with All Bran cereal and fruit. Which is of course only adding the problem :-/

salt1 · 02/06/2012 07:04

americaninbritain i find the only thing that works is drinking lots of water x

Coxy7 · 02/06/2012 07:29

Hi ladies I'm due 15th January it's been a long 5 year struggle of lots of test and then being told we can't have kids. We found an amazing Ivf clinic and results are amazing hence our due date.
We're so happy but at the same time frightened to death something is going to go wrong. I'm currently sitting in the clinic having an intrlipid drip fed in to me as I have what's called high natural killer cells. It suppress you're immune system so you're body dosent reject the baby.
I have had 2 scans and so far so good but I don't think Ill be completely stress free until January arrives.

It's so good that there is lots of support out there tho.

X

Coxy7 · 02/06/2012 07:31

Good thing for constipation is golden linseeds you can buy them in holland and barrart and sprinkle on you're breakfast cereal.

Bunny222 · 02/06/2012 09:02

Hi all.
Coxy - welcome and hope you're doing ok. It's hard not to stress isn't it?
American - still a bit gassy buy am taking peppermint tea to soothe the bloating and icky feeling, helping quite well so far.

I am finding I'm getting quite a bit of burpy hiccups! Was in meetings most of the day yesterday with big bosses, nt very professional?! Have been bloated and am worried about them sussing out whats going on, don't want to say anything til much further down the line...
Anyone else having trouble sleeping?

Coxy7 · 02/06/2012 09:35

Thanks Bunny222....

Burping yes I can relate to that and sleeping to, I seem to get to sleep ok as I'm generally exhausted by the end of the day it's waken up early I'm having trouble with. 5am and its bingo wide a wake.

Still I suppose I better get used to it as its no sleep when the little munchkin comes along. Lol
