Some people who have been posting recently arent on the stats list because they were never on it originally, feel free to add yourself in, it means we can keep track when the babies start to arrive. Grin

Im worried incase I've missed people and they take it personally. :( Silly pregnancy hormones!

Tinwe · 25/02/2012 23:14

Thanks Jambalaya! :)

JambalayaCodfishPie · 25/02/2012 23:20

Phew, someone found me...... Was slightly worried I might have messed up and somehow sent everyone on a wild goose chase around Mumsnet, and that all our babies would be 18 before we found each other again! Grin

Marking my place on lovely new thread, well done Jambalaya.
I wonder who will be first? Riamay has a thread somewhere she suspects her waters have broken.

If your DH went out without his keys and said "I won't be late", knowing you usually go to bed at 11:30 at the latest, would you;
stay up and get increasingly pissed off and tired while eating crap, watching crap and posting crap knowing if he's not back by now he will be to drunk to argue with when he does roll in
or
would you lock the door, go to bed and be pissed of when he hammers on the door or phones the house phone waking the baby and probably meaning I don't get back to sleep for ages either.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 25/02/2012 23:36

Hi notso Grin

I would give it until midnight and then go to bed, accidently unplugging the house phone on the way.

Oh, and stick a note on the door saying "A very angry pregnant lady lives here. Do not disturb" Grin

OP posts:
notso · 25/02/2012 23:48

Grin Thanks Jambalaya you have made me laugh and realise I have been clenching my teeth with annoyance for the last half an hour!

I did warn him after last time it was only a short stroll to his mothers where the door is always open!

VintageNancy · 26/02/2012 00:03

Thank you for new thread Jambalaya. Just marking my place so I can find you all tomorrow.

digitalgirl · 26/02/2012 00:24

Thanks for list tidying jambalaya!

Bookmarking. DH is still painting, bless. I contributed by baking a lemon & poppy seed cake.

notso hope you're in bed by now.

notso · 26/02/2012 00:50

Nearly digitalgirl just doing a few bits I would usually do in the morning as I know I will be knackered tomorrow.

Is DH painting your nursery? Envy I love lemon and poppy seed cake.

Gah! DH is such a twunt at times. Sometimes I feel like he's my teenage son not my husband, he still behaves like he did when we first met I was 17 and he was 20 except he's 34 now with nearly four DC.

Right I'm off to bed, I am tainting the shiny new thread with my rantings!! Promise to only post happy thoughts from now on.

aprilfoolsbaby · 26/02/2012 04:33

Ohhh a lovely new thread. We're bound to have some march babies and I can't wait to start hearing the lovely birth stories. Really not long now.

Yes I'm awake again at a stupid hour. Am contemplating going to get myself a big bowl of sugar puffs and watching a few baby programmes on discovery, but we're off to Ikea tomorrow to get some drawers for the nursery and I'll feel awful if i don't get back to sleep.

Just a quick one - has any one heard anything about the sleep curve mattress? It's meant prevent flat heads in babies. My dd had this and it was very worrying at the time. I was considering getting one, we need a new mattress for the cot bed anyway but from what I can see it looks quite thin and I wonder if it'll last until toddlerhood. The trials and tribulations......,,.

Tinwe · 26/02/2012 09:04

Warning - big rant coming up Angry

I'm furious! I've caught my boss's chest infection, been awake lots of night fuming and feel awful. As if work and just life in general wasn't hard enough at the mo. I know we've all gone into work a bit rough from time to time (I went in with a sore back and was sent home last week), but coming into work with a known chest infection and infecting everyone else is just fake martyrdom. He KNEW he was v poorly on Wednesday but still came in Thursday (left a few mins early to go to Gp for antibiotics) and Friday until he couldn't stand it any longer - even then he took holiday rather than sick Friday pm as he was so proud of his virtually non existant sick record. I have a good idea what he was doing (esp since Friday morn was a meeting with me) and it was nothing that couldn't wait or be delegated. What makes him think his sick record is more important than the health of his employees and their families? I bet I'll need antibiotics and get thrush which is bad for Bean, prob give it to DD (10 months) and DH who's in the middle of a v important piece of work that others really can't cover and will bring us in some cash before he gets made redundant.
Sorry for big rant, I v rarely get properly angry but when it affects my family...

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 26/02/2012 09:52
Angry What a twat. I'm a big believer in STAY HOME WHEN YOU ARE ILL!!!!!

So its nearly March. And yep, we are bound to have early babies popping soon...
DS2, you are staying put until 39 weeks at the earliest. I will cross my legs, you are not coming out yet!

Yummymummyyobe1 · 26/02/2012 12:13

Cutelittlecatlover Consider it done.

Until this weekend, April has seemed very far off in the distant future, but all of a sudden it's March next week and it's all Becoming Very Real. Like you, it doesn't seem like there's been enough time since POAS - with DD I was pregnant forever but this time round there hasn't been an opportunity to be pregnant, not with a toddler on the go!

marshmallowpies · 26/02/2012 17:21

Adding myself back into the thread. Very happy that spring is in the air and babydom really not too far off now....went walking in the park today and apart from having to stop and rest every 5 minutes was just so happy to be out in the sunshine and feel that the worst of winter was finally behind us.

It's only really started to sink in that I'm actually having a baby in the last couple of weeks. For the first half of my pregnancy we were so focussed on the relocation I hardly had time to think about it and the first 2 months here have been flat out getting everything sorted. Now I'm Shock that there are less than 6 weeks to go!

Bunsouttheoven · 26/02/2012 18:38

Just wondering how you are Riamay in light if your possible waters breaking thread?

LaTristesse · 26/02/2012 19:55

If mine doesn't come early I'll eat my hat. DS came at 38 weeks and this one's been feeling like she's gonna make a bit for freedom any time now really, very twingy day today- am fully expecting a March arrival! Although DS will be bummed if he has to share his Birthday!
I spent the afternoon adding birds to the nursery wall; I feel much better now that I've contributed to the decoration in there.
On the downside DH has been a pita today. Various reasons I won't go into but it does make me wonder if he has any idea that I've spent the last 8 months growing an entire new human, and not done anything in the slightest bit self indulgent (and I just mean reading a book really) for the last 2 years, while he tits about doing whatever the hell he likes. Grrr...
(notso what was the outcome with your DH last night?)

JambalayaCodfishPie · 26/02/2012 20:08

Id love an early arrival, but I wouldnt be suprised if I end up drifting into May!

Ive still got eight weeks, potentially ten, which doesnt fill me with much joy to be honest - baby has gone head down, right into my pelvis, and it hurts. Might seem like its getting ready to be born but DD did this at this time and was still overdue by 10 days.

My DP is usually a PITA - getting in my way is his signature move, but he can currently do no wrong, im such a loved up soppy bugger - must be hormones, theres no explaining it! Grin
