Congrats MummyLiv

Am thinking ladies, I'm going to start us a final FINAL antenatal thread, it's prob a little early to be crashing the postnatal thread, we'll be out of post soon, and then nobody will get lost in the move! Grin

yay digi so exciting Grin congratulations! Hope your feeling well - will look out for your birth story Smile

Thank you everyone for all the many many birthday wishes.

Woke up this morning with a period pain and got excited - after an hour it went and nothings happened since, looks like I won't be sharing my birthday with my bubba.

Def a good idea to start a final April thread - im due 28th so if I'm overdue don't all run off to postnatal and leave me hanging about this thread on my own lol.

justhayley · 10/04/2012 21:20

Arh and congratulations mummyliv, I'm happy to share my birthday with your daughter Grin beautiful name x

JambalayaCodfishPie · 10/04/2012 21:25

My boy was born today at 12.12pm, 8lb 3oz of loveliness. Smile

Elcs was the most surreal experience ever but ended with the safe arrival of another gorgeous son.

I am utterly exhausted but elated that the final person in our family has arrived. He's currently snuggled in next to me having a feed, soft & warm & deliciously new.

Now who's next to get their miracle?

dreamc1 · 11/04/2012 07:58

Baby Harry Alexander arrived Monday 11.20am weighing 6lbs. @ 39+2
Waters broke with lots of meconium Sunday 10.15pm, straight into hospital. Talk of induction; not really needed until toward the end to speed things up. Ended up with 3 tries of the epidural, unbearable back contractions all the way though until the 3rd epidural. Still had at least 10 top ups. Harry didn't cope well with some of the contractions or the pushing stage. At least 6 ppl in the delivery room with us. Venthouse used, episostomy, stirups used. Turns out Harry was really struggling and was getting very tired with it all.
He's doing well now though, came home yeterday afternoon.
I'm very sore, and now feel like I've been hit by a bus.

Congrats to all that have had their little miracles. Good luck to all those still waiting.

Flisspaps · 11/04/2012 08:11

Smile congratulations Smile two new boys to round off this thread!

marshmallowpies · 11/04/2012 08:35

Oh that's made me a bit teary, bless Harry (and you!) for going through all that & getting here safe and sound.

And buns so glad to hear all went smoothly for you. The boys are catching up, we have a very XX dominated list of babies so far...

JambalayaCodfishPie · 11/04/2012 08:46

Congratulations Bunsout and Dreamc1

I will add your arrivals to our new thread!

Congratulations to buns and dream on your boys!

dream that sounds like on a par with my experience with the epi - except managed to avoid intervention at pushing stage. Take good care of yourself - see you and buns over on the pn thread.

Have put my birth story here for anyone interested Smile

SandyChick · 11/04/2012 10:20

Urggghh 40+6 and im full of cold! No sign this baby has any intention of making an appearance soon. Induction booked for Tuesday Sad

justhayley · 11/04/2012 14:13

Congratulations buns and dream. Hope you both recover really quickly. I guess labour is only the journey it's arriving safely at the destination that counts! Xxx

Emsgale · 11/04/2012 17:43

congratulations buns and dream!

well im 40+4 and can barley move with my sciatica and spd today really feeling the strain and my 2yo dd is getting thoroughly fed up with mummy!!

Pitmountainpony · 11/04/2012 19:30

Digital, mummyliv, buns and dream

Huge congrats to all of you.

Yes buns I agree on the surreal quality of el cs .....quite different going in sober to when it is at the end of a long labour...like going to the dentist but coming out with a baby.
Excuse me for being obsessed with itching but really hoping you are not afflicted....it was as unpleasant as the c sec pain when painkillers wore off.
Make sure you get plenty of painkillers when they discharge you.
You will be up and about before you know it....I cannot get over how much quicker recovery has been after el cs.......happy recovery to all four of you....those unrepeatable first few days are with you now.
