crap, after all the hope of the pg test this morning, I've just been to the loo and am bleeding :( not heavily yet, but it's surely only a matter of time. (I didn't bleed at all with DS, but started spotting 2 days before miscarriage in August, so not getting my hopes up that this is anything else)

Am very glum :(

it's too early to bother asking for a scan too, isn't it? I might call the GP and see if I can speak to someone there, maybe the midwife. but otherwise just have to wait and see, don't I?

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/10/2011 15:31

Kveta,

I'm sorry but I think you just have to wait it out really. It doesn't necessarily mean the worst, but nor is it a particularly reassuring sign.

Keeping fingers crossed for you.

MyMamaToldMe · 05/10/2011 15:37

Kveta - could it be implantation bleeding? Fingers crossed for you.

MammaInTheMaking · 05/10/2011 15:40

Oh Kveta am sending you good wishes...

mrsshears · 05/10/2011 16:12

Hope all is ok kveta

greengoose · 05/10/2011 17:20

Kveta I bled with both my boys, but your right, it doesnt sound great.
I think the EPU will only see you after 6 weeks, but you could try by saying your not sure of dates? Or maybe best for you just to see how it goes for a little while. Scans where its too early to call it are v. difficult.
Thinking of you.

Dalrymps · 05/10/2011 20:58

Sorry to hear that KvetaSad If I were you I'd probably call the midwife as see what they advise? Fingers crossed for you that it's not a bad sign...

Kveta · 05/10/2011 21:30

hi all, thanks for the good wishes - will just have to wait and see what happens now, as there was not much more blood this evening. We shall see. I will call the midwife next week if I'm still pg though! i have 1 test left, so will save it for next week if i don't bleed much more. gah, this pg thing is quite emotionally exhausting, isn't it?!!

speaking of exhausting, i'm away to bed early and hoping for some decent sleep tonight! hope you all get some rest too :)

mouffloncake · 05/10/2011 22:30

morning ladies!! Well Im being a bad mum today. I woke at 5 and couldnt sleep, got up did stuff, did school run and then came home and almost fell asleep. My Ds2 (3) is now infront of a dvd at 10am. This is very bad....things are slipping, before he knows it he will have pjs on all day and eat only fishfingers...I just feel like Im sleepwalking! I will give it half an hour and then get back with it again. I am meant to be cleaning out the duckpond, but I think Ill leave that for DHWink

Kveta · 06/10/2011 10:28

hiya, ok so far today, just some spotting. I may have been overdoing things this week, so am going to spend the weekend relaxing as much as is possible with a 2 year old to entertain, and see if that helps!!

I'm working 8.30am-10pm today though (it's a one-off!), so not too much relaxation, but I am doing the bare minimum as much as possible!!

thanks everyone :)

girlofice · 06/10/2011 10:38

Kveta thinking of you and hoping that all will be good for you

greengoose :) I too would leave the duckpond for DH

greengoose · 06/10/2011 10:42

Good to hear things have settled down for you Kveta. These early weeks are a bit of a stressful time.......

greengoose · 06/10/2011 19:49

its a bit echoey in here today...... Im eating all the Biscuits on my own then....

StarlightMcKenzie · 06/10/2011 20:18

LOL. I'm here, but not much to say really!

It's a bit boring at the moment. Peeing on sticks and seeing the same result and being tired.......

thedogwalker · 06/10/2011 20:33

Normally I would post more whilst I'm at work but I've been busy as I'm off next week. I'm spending time with DH before he goes away for 6 months, we timed our ttc to perfection so that he would be back before the final month. I just had to hope that I would be as lucky as DC1 and conceive on 1st time of asking and voila, we did Grin.
I've not been too tired today and the initial sickness I was suffering last week has abated, hopefully to stay away. Hope everyone is well and taking it easy, nothing worth getting stressed over. Take care xx

MyMamaToldMe · 07/10/2011 09:56

Morning all - YAAAAAAAAAAWN... 3.5 hours sleep for me last night thanks to my delightful DD who woke us all up at midnight last night and then proceeded to do her level best to keep us awake for the rest of the night. I am sleeping so badly at the moment that I am finding it increasingly more difficult to go back to sleep after I've been woken, and this week has been hell. Roll on 5pm today (if I can last that long). When I asked my DD why she kept waking up and coming through to us, she replied - "because I want to be with you Mommy". Ahhhh - how to resist that?!

Am I strange for only having done one pregnancy test? Should I be doing more?

When do you need to start wearing non underwired bras? I can't remember? And do I need to ge my breasts measured now or later? Amazing how much stuff I have forgotten!

MyMamaToldMe · 07/10/2011 09:56

TDW - Where is your DH going for 6 months?!

StarlightMcKenzie · 07/10/2011 10:06

I've never given uPp underwires -are you kidding me?

OP posts:
Kveta · 07/10/2011 10:16

I haven't worn underwired in 2.9 years now :o Still in nursing bras, which are so so comfy.

nothing new here, just knackered. I was at work all day yesterday and got home at 10pm totally wired up, then DS woke me up this morning by standing about an inch from my face, beaming. Was quite a fright. He woke DH up by putting a dead cranefly in his ear and bellowing 'SPIDER' the other day though, so I got off quite lightly!

how on earth do you cope for 6 months without your DH TDW?! I struggle when mine is late home from work :o

no more spotting here today, so I'm tentatively getting my hopes back up. My boobs have definitely expanded in size in the past day or two, but not as much as they did last time round. I guess still bfing has its advantages!!

can anyone remind me, are we meant to cut much from our diets? I don't drink anyway, but have been sticking to my daily diet coke. is there anything else we should be avoiding like the plague? And is everyone else religiously popping their vitamins?! DS tried to nab my multivitamin this morning (I have it on my plate next to the toast to remind me to take it), and I said 'no, it's mummy's special pill for the baby', so he was screaming 'BABY PILL! MINE MUMMY!' until we fobbed him off with a banana. it's going to be a long long 9 months... (hopefully!!)

StarlightMcKenzie · 07/10/2011 10:26

Hmm, I think diet coke is worse than alcohol if I remember my research from last time. Aspartame in particular. Alcohol okay in moderation after the first trimester. Raw food dodgy unless you can be certain of it's origin, length of time in transit and how it was prepared.

Not popping pills as they always make nausea worse but try to increase essential oils and folic acid in diet.
