JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 23/10/2011 20:46

Probe juice hehe thank you for that, I've just cried like a twat on and off for 8hrs I needed that giggle :)

Dalrymps · 23/10/2011 21:23

Grin Glad to have entertained you!

I'm kind of known for my silly typos so there will be plenty more I'm sureGrin

Greengoose business sounds great!

Kveta lol at your ds licking the dog back. I can understand the dog breath thing, out dog has terrible breath

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 23/10/2011 21:27

Why on earth do we crave crap food then, I've barely ate for days and just suddenly NEEDED macdonalds chips, milkshake and chicken snack wrap. Of course I'm going to eat chicken breast salad and pasta instead --dp isn't now driving to mcds oh no--

ecstatica · 23/10/2011 21:51

LOl JJ -- hope it worth it, the Mcdonalds phase sets in around third trimester for me [shame]

Have had a slice of y'days lasagne (quorn), some brown rice, steamed veggies and boiled pots with butter...with pickled onions and olives inbetween, carrot sticks and 3 large glasses of coke and ice and a full bag of mixed fruit!!! Have kept it down but now crampy and want to cuddle duvet. Kids finally in bed.

Are you exhausted all?

StarM Tribunal sounds like a lot of head work hope you're doing ok xx

Dalrymps · 23/10/2011 22:01

Lol jj and ecstatica Grin I just got a 'craving' for a chicken kebab with garlic sauceBlush

Dh being the loving husband he is fetched the food and had a doner kebab to share the shame.

I am stuffed now as I already had a snacky tea of beans on one slice of toast. Sure the indigestion will arrive shortlyHmm

greengoose · 23/10/2011 22:09

Its far to late and I dont think there is a kebab for at least 30 miles, but I REALLY want one now..... very jealous Dairymps! Ive just eaten a whole tub of olives and feta, hope we are allowed feta, now I think about it!

StarlightMcKenzie · 23/10/2011 22:24

Today I have eaten, one small bowl of Alpenhorn, once slice of toast, 3 chocolates and an apple.

OP posts:
StarlightMcKenzie · 23/10/2011 22:25

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 23/10/2011 22:26

Oh it was heaven! No snack wrap though Envy he brought a double cheeseburger and chicken mayo instead, not the same, not.the.same.

With ds it was pizza huts sour cream and chive dip I needed all the time. And dd I ate ice, lots of ice!

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 23/10/2011 22:28

And yes I am exhausted! All the time, but not sleeping well when I do go to bed :(

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 23/10/2011 22:30

Alpen with side of goat perhaps or pervy alpen hehe

Dalrymps · 23/10/2011 22:32

Sorry greengoose! Grin
Hmm not sure about feta, does it say if it's pasteurised on the packet? If not I wouldn't worry, we all accidentally eat something 'risky' occasionalySmile

jj glad you enjoyed it, bummer about the snack wrap!

Starlight Grin lol at Alpenhorn! Wow, you've not eaten much today. Or should I say vie eaten loads todayHmm I keep going the other way, I have to keep myself constantly topped up or I start sliding down the slippery nausea slope.

Dalrymps · 23/10/2011 22:32

I've

greengoose · 23/10/2011 22:35

the last few posts sound like the list from 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' Grin

TeaandHobnobs · 23/10/2011 22:37

Feeling a bit left out with all these cravings going on! Although I do feel like I have developed the nose of a bloodhound - it's both quite odd and a bit amusing!

Went for dinner with my parents on Saturday evening, and DH texted me to tell me I was not allowed chocolate mousse for pudding - nice to see he is paying attention!

We have decided not to tell anyone until 12 weeks, but I confess I'm finding it difficult that he is the only one I can talk to about it (which makes me extra glad I am here with all you guys!). Another 6 weeks seems such a long time...

Boobs still insanely uncomfortable and no other concerning signs so I assume all is going ok in there [hconfused] First appointment with GP on Tuesday.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, symptoms permitting

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 23/10/2011 22:43

TEA super snout is my most loathed symptom!
Were waiting until 12wks, its driving me mad! Thank goodness for mumsnet :)

Dalrymps · 23/10/2011 22:55

Tea I also have super snout, so bloody annoying. I can't hug dh without being overpowered by his aftershave/ deodorant, I usually love the smell.

I haven't got sore boobs to be fair. I think I'd swap the nausea for sore boobs although both annoying I think I can cope with the boobs better.

I'm sure your little bean is growing just fineSmile

With ds1 I only felt sick on and off for 2 wks and had super snout. Was a pretty good pregnancy actually and all was fine!

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 24/10/2011 07:07

Morning all!

Well, I've eaten far too much over the weekend - need to try and be a bit more sensible over the next few days or I'm going to put on a really frightening amount of weight!

Slept a little better last night but still tired this morning - although think I'm adapting to the constant nausea as I don't really notice it so much now unless I think about it; it just sort of hovers in the background at the edge of awareness!

Hopefully, a relatively easy week at work this week - no training or travelling so should be a bit less exhausting than last week.

Tea - I know what you mean about it being difficult not telling people. My boss knows and so does my best friend (and DH obviously!), but we're not telling familly until after first scan. I was on the phone to my mum yesterday for our weekly catch up and all I could think about was 'don't tell her you're pregnant' - why is it the less you want to talk about something, the more you think about it! That's why I ended up telling my boss - same thoughts but I was actually in a room with her so had to tell her or go insane; it's a bit easier to avoid on the phone, but not much!

Have a good day everyone!

birdofthenorth · 24/10/2011 08:45

Morning all! Slept a bit netter last night -til DD1 was up at 5am with awful teething pain poor thing!

Kveta DD is 14 months. I may be mad to have two so close together. Time will tell Grin Certainly I've had to plough through the pregnancy symptoms & just get on with it this time as she's just started walking & doesn't stop still for a second! Yuck to the dogbreath incident! I have two huge dogs, breath isn't too bad but their farts have made me vomit already!! Blush

Greengoose your shop sounds lovely. We have something similar in my little town. I make a point of stopping & buying something even though it's pricier than I can normally afford just because I'd be do sad if it were to go! It is pokey though... please make the aisles prammable, even if you are mostly selling slings!

ecstatica · 24/10/2011 09:01

SSC - Me too! But I agree with Dalrymps, have to keep topped up to keep the nausea at bay! A close friend of mine is coming over this morning (don't see much of her unless weekend/half term) and I'm hoping I can get by without blurting it out!

JJ --waiting till 12 weeks is probs what i'm going to do. Have scan on 5th and if its all ok will probably be unable to shut up but can try.

Is 100quid reasonable for early scan?!

Poor DC, sent them all back up to clean their teeth before they even discussed brekkie breath...bleugh..... baked potatoes for lunch today yummy! lol

ecstatica · 24/10/2011 09:02

morning bird of the north -- it will be worth it :-) x

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 24/10/2011 10:23

Morning all!

Got a bit more sleep last night, did have both dcs throwing up though :(

I have achey boobs too! Feel like they've done ten rounds with mike tyson :(

greengoose I want to go to your shop when its open, it sounds fantastic :)

Feeling very glum today, lack of sleep and other symptoms dragging me down and me and dp had a big row, just need a bloody good cry I think.

SarahBumBarer · 24/10/2011 10:36

Hi everyone - can I join please? I tested yesterday and calculate that my due date is 28 June.

It is DC#2 for us - DS is 15 months. Feeling pretty ok, appetite slightly odd but the only reason my breasts are at all sore is because I keep poking them to see if they are sore! Grin It all feels a bit unreal at the moment - we tried for quite a while with DS1 (not ages like some of you guys on here - wow and congratulations) and this has happened really quickly and during a month where I really thought we had missed our window for TTC.

Is anyone else a little bit "older"? I'm 37 and know I will be treated as a medical experiment again Hmm which I'm not looking forward to.

greengoose · 24/10/2011 10:36

morning all!
BirdOTN thanks for that about the shop!! And yes, I totally agree about the isles, its one of my pet hates when shops pile things up so you cant get passed...grrrrr. I am just a bit scared about what Im taking on, I got involved after second MC when I thought we might give up trying again, and then fell pregnant almost straight away!

Ive told my Mum, who wasnt best chuffed ('why, at your age, would you want another)! And Ive told a few friends because I had to back out of a sea swim and didnt want to lie to them. Friends obviously much lovelier than Mum!!

ecstatica from what Ive looked into about early scans they seem to vary from £60- £120+, for much the same thing. I think it depends a bit whether its one of the big chain companies, they seem dearer down here in Devon.... But the one that I found for £60 had a male sonographer, and given itll probably be a vaginal scan, I thought Id rather have a female do it (bit prudish probably).
The Birth Company are £100, or £120 if you want a consultant to do it. Baby Premier are £97, Harley Street Womans Centre are £100, The baby Skan Studio (devon, somerset and cornwall) £59, Babyface 4d (south west) £70, and so on.....(also, if youve had a MC, EPCs are fairly up for doing one for free if you phone them). When are you getting it done?
