Hi all.. can I join too please... I'm another one expecting number 3...All a bit scary especially as DS1 is 2.7 and DS2 is only 11 months! eek! But all exciting at the same time. No symptoms as yet and only got a BFP last night. I think DH and I are still a little bit in shock.

Big congratulations to you all!!!

Starlight I was reading that going Hmm then realised i've mentioned east herts in my profile :o where have you moved to? I have only been through cheshunt on the train, although DH knows the platform well, after getting stuck there on numerous occasions! we're a wee bit further up the line towards the airport :)

can someone please remind me that having such painful boobs is a good sign? gah. will be calling the GP/midwife not next week but the week after to make my appt if still pg, as our surgery has fricking long waits for appts. still, at least I know the midwife, and she's sane!

StarlightMcKenzie · 30/09/2011 21:34

Hi girlofice

K We've moved to West Herts Grin

That's why I don't have a GP yet. Keep meaning to get it sorted but haven't got around to it yet.

Hi to all!! Congrats to the new faces!! Goodness girlforce thats quite a handful youll have there then! I guess its nice to have them close though (I did plan for mine to be close together, but we have a 5year gap between DS1 and DS2, and itll be another almost 5yrs between DS2 and this one, all being well till the end that is).

I am knackered. Its my 9yr olds birthday tomorrow, and we only got around to preparing for it today. I cant be bothered to do anything after 8pm.... my house will be a sty in no time if I dont get some energy back soon.

Peed on another stick today, but that been 24hrs, which is good for me! Still two lines (Its ebays fault for selling them so cheaply)!

girlofice · 30/09/2011 23:10

Kveta I'm jealous of your sore boobs.. still no symptoms here, although I am trying to convince myself that I am feeling queasy.
When I went to the GP when I was pregnant with DS2 at 5 weeks, he basically told me to go away and come back at 8 weeks as they don't do anything until then. So I'm going to wait a few weeks before I give them a call.

greengoose 3 so close in age will certainly be a handful. It's not as if either DSs are laid back and chilled.. they are of the I want it, and I want it now variety!
Happy birthday to your DS1 for tomorrow

Dalrymps · 30/09/2011 23:20

I also have sore boob jealousy! I felt slightly dizzy at work today and have convinced myself of nausea occasionally. I was pretty much the same last time iirc, then around 6 weeks the sickness startedEnvy

BustAMove · 01/10/2011 15:13

AHHHH! slight positive thurs, now sat and negative. Might just bow out for a bit until I've sorted out what's what. Am 3 days over, and got positive with superdrug. Clear Blue says no. Unsure, so I'll get back to you all!

Dalrymps · 02/10/2011 00:06

BustA Did you use first morning urine with both tests? Had you drunk more before the 2nd one? Just trying to think of variables..

toddle · 02/10/2011 10:06

Wow rather a lot of messages to catch up on.

I think a congrats all round is in order. Next time anyone updates the stats could you put me on as i have no idea how to copy and paste on the phone.

I've been sick a few times but it's just a little amount does it get any worse near where you would be if you were ill

Hope everyone is well

toddle · 02/10/2011 10:06

That was number1 Smile

BustAMove · 02/10/2011 13:31

Thanks for message dalrymps, I'm def out girls. Period started today. Done some research on line, thinking maybe chemical pregnancy????

Anyway, good luck to you all, and hopefully I won't be too far behind you.

greengoose · 02/10/2011 20:55

Hi all.
bustamove sorry to hear your news. I dont think its easy having your hopes dashed like that no matter how early it is.

Toodle Youve been sick already... gosh. Im having yucky symptom envy...I didnt get terribly sick (lots of gagging) with either of my boys, but my third pregnancy I vas really sick with very short notice a few times a day. I think its a bit random whether you get it bad, although some say its worse if you are carrying a girl?!

We went to the beach today, and I got a bit paranoid about whether I could go swimming in the v cold water... dont know what I thought would happen. Anyway once I was nervous it kind of spoiled it anyway, now I feel stupid because it was probably the last really hot swimming day of the year. Oh well. My OH now thinks Ive come over all hormonal, he may be right!

My boobs are a lot less sore today, so I am a little worried about that, but it doesnt really mean much. I hate these very early stages where nobody knows yet and you havent had a scan to know its ok. Roll on 12 weeks, feels like forever!

MyMamaToldMe · 02/10/2011 21:53

Hello all - Bustamove so sorry - I know that disappointed feeling... Good luck for next month.

Toddle Congrats on Baby #1!! :)

I had horrible morning sickness from about 7 weeks - 17 weeks last time, and I am dreading going through that again. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised by not going through it again!

Greengoose we were also at the beach today, but at no time did I think of actually swimming! Haha! The most I did was dip my feet in the sea. And my boobs are less sore today too - not that I am complaining, but I guess these pains at least reassure us that we are pregnant! Totally agree - roll on the 12 week scan.

Dalrymps · 03/10/2011 00:38

Sorry to hear your news BustA, fingers crossed next month is your month x

I have felt a little queasy on and off but the last few times my sickness didn't kick in till 6/7 weeks. I'm dreading it but will also be strangely reassured by it if it does turn up.

No sore boobs here but I'm pretty sure my sense of smell has become more sensitive already. I've had to send dh outside to put his deodorant on as it seems so overpowering and makes me feel sick. I could also literally taste the toothpaste in Tesco as I walked down that aisle today.

All this symptom analysing is driving me mad already. I agree, roll on 12 weeksSmile

StarlightMcKenzie · 03/10/2011 08:41

Hi BustaMove, sorry to hear you're out but good luck for the near future!

Best wishes.

hi all,
sorry to hear your news BustA :( hope you're not feeling too rough.

I have started to feel quite nauseous - was bad for a day last week, then fine all weekend, but this morning am gagging at everything. With DS (a boy, obviously :o) I was sick at least once a day from ~6-20 weeks, so although I lost a stone (which was good), I don't really want to go through that again. I remember only being able to eat potatos for about a month too.

Dalrymps · 03/10/2011 09:46

Ah the sickness, I remember it so wellGrin

I remember a period of time when only jacket potatoes with cottage cheese, homous on pittas and crisp sandwiches would do.

StarlightMcKenzie · 03/10/2011 10:09

I have never been sick, but have spent the 6-20 weeks of the past two pregancies desperately wishing I could be due to the extreme nausea.

Wonder what this will bring. Not bothered whether girl or boy. Probably overall prefer a boy but have only got girls names. Also as DS has autism, there is a higher risk of a genetic predisposition in a boy than a girl.

OP posts:
MyMamaToldMe · 03/10/2011 10:52

I also wonder Starlight... I'm already thinking boy though. Don't know why, and especially as the last time I thought boy too and got a girl! Don't mind which I get, but like you, can only seem to think of girls names! There don't seem to be any boys names that I like.

Does anyone else suffer from ligament pains? I suffered almost throughout my whole preganacy last time, and before I even knew I was pregnant, they started again this time.

Kveta · 03/10/2011 11:03

I don't mind which I get this time, I knew DS was a boy from early on (I mean I 'knew', not that I had any evidence!!), but this time am so paranoid about it all, I don't have any real gut feelings. We'd both like a girl, but would also both like another boy, so either way we'd be happy! DH is one of 2 boys, and I have 2 sisters and a brother, so we can see pros and cons to any arrangement of genders :o I struggled with girls names last time, but this time I have a couple of names I like for either gender, and just need to convince DH that they are fab names :o we have the problem of needing names that can be pronounced easily in 2 languages, which makes it a bit of a struggle.

What do you mean by ligament pains? I didn't have anything like that, anyway, except for the slight ache at the beginning of the pg when everything is expanding rapidly! just very tender boobs and nausea/sickness. I'm hoping that the presence of both this time is a good sign, even if it's not as strong as with DS.

StarlightMcKenzie · 03/10/2011 11:10

DH was asking me which hospital I wanted to give birth in since we have moved. I told him the question was more likely to be 'which house' since we have just crossed the county into rented accomodation and don't even know what the local hospital is (bit irresponsible perhaps).

Probably going for a homebirth this time, but REALLY don't want to think about it just yet. We weren't planning on having a 3rd (well we were by the time I got PG) so we don't have much baby stuff any more. A few clothes perhaps, but no cot.

For some reason I am so not interested in going down that 'buying things' path again. It's so expensive and stressful and full of sales pitches and junk mail etc. I'm going to see if I can get away with nothing minimal interaction wrt this.

Probably just sleep with dc3 in my bed anyway. It is how we always ended up with the others so much as well just start off that way this time. Makes everything so much easier iirc.

Dalrymps · 03/10/2011 12:16

Starlight When I said sickness, nausea is actually hat I meant. Like you I just felt extremely sick but never actually wasConfused Well there was one time when I was brushing my teeth and gagged and threw my breakfast upHmm

Sometimes I think I would have preferred to have vomited a few times. Strange thing to want!
