cheekymonkeymama · 22/10/2011 11:37

Good Morning ladies! Sorry to hear so many of us suffering...
Kayzr Really sorry about your lack of sleep ...mine's not that much better and my dreams - not sure about everyone else - but they are so bizarre. Michael Jackson made an appearance as an assasin last night ..lets leave it at that shall we?
Coops Im apparently due on the 29th with no.2 (ive got a little boy who is 13 months) so very close to you, although i had to have an emergency c section last time so will prob have a c section again this time which i think they do about 2 weeks early...is that right?
seriously I LOVE your controlling baby imagery!!
Rainbow Welcome! I will also be 35 when this one is born... and i'm also a new comer as i only joined yesterday.
Novmama really sorry .... hang in there..

Carty80 · 22/10/2011 12:03

Kayzr No!!! Don't say she might be right!! I am imagining a super quick, almost pain free, calm, serene labour and birth. We will buck the trend!!

Yes its the white chestnut bach remedy, seems to be working. Still need the toilet early hours but take 4 more drops and seem to go back to sleep quite easily.

Woken up this morning, feeling dreadful, very queasy and feel hungover! I had the flu jab yesterday and my arm is hurting. Anyone else feel ill after the jab?

Welcome to all the new joiners and I hope everyone manages to have a relaxed Sunday. I need to do some serious cleaning but may just lay on the sofa for 10 mins first.....

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 22/10/2011 12:19

Welcome raindow and carley (not sure if I've already said hi so thought I'd make sure!).

Carty - I felt okay after my jab other han a bit of a sore arm, but it was a couple of weeks ago so was earlier in pregnancy.

ecstatica · 22/10/2011 12:41

Novmama - snap! I didn't get the lie in though but I did manage to keep breakfast down after throwing up in car on way home last night. Was super hungry this morning and tea is now on 'off' list.

Rainbow - Congratulations to you and your friend :-) Exciting to go through it all together.

Dalrymps - How old are your DSs. Jealous of another lie in [henvy] I'm putting in for tomorrow!

SSCheddar - LOL at control panel baby think mine just looks like Chucky that's awful -- didn't meant that [hblush]

Coops - Congratulations!! :)

Working - Have a good holiday! Deserved.

Carty80 - Well done on quitting the smokes -- it's hard I know.

Hi to Starlight, CMmama, JJ and anyone else i didn't mean not to mention, i only had time to mention all on this page xxxxx

ecstatica · 22/10/2011 12:43

carty I need to do some cleaning too. Dh has gone sailing for afternoon and I feel awful so taken myself back to bed with magazines, iPad and tv controller. Oh and snacks and bottle of lemonade! Time for some me time!
Had a spec and I mean 1 spec less than a pencil dot of blood when I wiped last night which scared the hell out of me, didn't get much sleep but nothing more so hoping all ok. Made me realise how much I love this baby already and want it so much!

Florin · 22/10/2011 13:38

carley OMG number 7! Wow you have a lovely big family, must be a very busy house!

Dalrymps · 22/10/2011 13:53

ecstatica My ds's are 18mo and nearly 4. Te oldest one can go without a nap but still gets a bit rascally when tired. Tha kfuly he loves to sleep so will go for a nap with ds2 anyway. A godsend for me when I feel awful! Some days ds2 rebels and won't sleep so it's not always an option..

carley1974 · 22/10/2011 14:58

lemonsherbet · 22/10/2011 16:18

Can I join the June club. Got my BFP last night and my EDD is 27th June. This is my 3rd pregnancy- I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in Oct last year and I miscarried my son when I was 20 weeks pregnant in May.

So I am really hoping this will be third time lucky. Will try and read the rest of the thread later.

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 22/10/2011 16:27

ecstatica - lol at Chucky

lemonsherbet - welcome!

Well, I made it to the gym, but the result is that the baby has definitely turned up the 'hunger' dial - I've been snacking but am trying to resist going into the kitchen and eating anything that isn't nailed down! Ah well, we'll cook a big veggie chilli in a bit so if I can just be patient for that....

greengoose · 22/10/2011 17:18

Afternoon ladies! Glad to hear its not just me who could eat for Britain! Im trying to resist the call of the kitchen....

I had massive stressy teary row with OH this morning, over housework (of all the useless things to argue about) and infront of the boys too, so I am deeply ashamed and need to get a grip of these hormones. I hate being so teary, I dont usually 'do' tears, but from experience the next year or so may be a bit soggy........ Anyway, DH has packed the kids of climbing for the afternoon. Probably no bad thing. I tried on my old climbing harness when he left and it doesnt fit. (cue more tears) meh.

So, enough moaning. Is anyone going for an early scan then... a few of us must be about 8weeks now? I am going to ask, and if docs say no I might just pay for one anyway.... bit impatient to see if all ok, and risk of MC goes down to 3% after you see a heartbeat......

Carty80 · 22/10/2011 17:34

carley Lucky no. 7! Wonder how many times you will hear that! Congrats. Other DC must be a great help.

greengoose I have been brewing a fight with DH the last few days, so far am managing to bite my tongue but everything he does is niggling at me! Nothing serious just feel agitated, teary and anxious. Give them all a big cuddle when they get in.

lemon welcome and congratulations. Fingers crossed this time all goes to plan and you get your beautiful baby.

Floors are all still very grubby in the house but the garden is mowed and looks nice so at least the neighbours think we have a tidy garden once more! Thank god they can't see through the finger prints and dog slobber covered windows! Jobs for tomorrow!

Florin hope you enjoyed your time alone!

seriously thanks, I think it was nausea this morning and general symptoms starting up a bit this morning. My DS had his jab done yesterday too and is fine so just our arms that our hurting.

ecstatica Thanks, it has been really hard, but smoking is so expensive now and DS was starting to notice us always sneaking outside. I loved smoking too but obviously just not good for you. I really respect anyone who gives up, really is tough.

Time to get the DC bathed and into bed and then collapse on sofa. xx

greengoose · 22/10/2011 18:00

Happy again. My boys all came in and jumped on me, full of excitement about their afternoon climbing. OH is taking us all out for some cheer up time..... Im lucky he is so lovely, I have a feeling he might be tested a little over the coming months. Poor man.

Carley no7!! wow! I struggle to stay on top of things with 2 boys!! Hats off to you, I have been coming around to the big family idea more and more, so lovely for them to have each other isnt it! (although i do think we will stop at three, I also thought we would stop at two)!

SSC I am in awe of your gym visit. I hope I feel up to doing something active again soon, but for now I am a blob. Not good prospects for the lovely size 10 jeans edging towards the back of my wardrobe.....

Who said something about No3 being the worst birth??! Shock I only did this on the understanding it would be even easier than No2!!! I just wont believe it, and then on the day what will be will be......

Florin · 22/10/2011 18:17

greengoose I am having an 8 week scan, we have been trying for 20 months so desperate to check everything ok. Got it booked for 9 November

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 22/10/2011 18:21

greengoose - I'm not doing much at the gym to be honest; half hour walk on the treadmill, few light weights and stretches, but I actually find the gym helps make me feel less queasy and gives me a bit more energy. My lifestyle is very sedentary otherwise so it's the only way I tend to get a bit of cardio; I'm sure once I have a toddler to run after it'll be a very different story!

rainbow77 · 22/10/2011 18:26

Hi everyone thanks for the welcomes. Went to see lion king in the cinema today with my 3 year old. Hormones def kicking in as I bawled my eyes out throughout the movie. How embarrassing??

mrsshears · 22/10/2011 19:05

Evening all!

I'm eating for England too and have just polished of a large slice of m and s choclolate and caramel cake, yum!
I had my scan date through today for 29th of november @ 3pm,i'm a bit miffed about it as it seems ages to wait, the midwife told me it would be between 11 and 14 weeks and i was hoping for nearer 11,not 13 +1.
I was in maternity stuff at 12 weeks with dd2 and i'm going to struggle to hide it until over 13 weeks.I'm going to have to change it anyway as school pick up is at that time,i might try my luck and see if i can get in the week before.

HorseyGirl1 · 22/10/2011 20:03

Big hi to Lemonsherbet. This is my second pregnancy - had late mc in December at same stage so have some idea how you're feeling too. Every day is a victory xx
Umm, I think I might need to dig out my maternity clothes at before too long and I'm just over 7 weeks now which is a bit scarey! I think some at work are sort of wondering about me but no one is saying anything (at least not to me just yet!) - my contract is up before too long so hope I'll be away before too long anyway. Going to see consultant on 15th but trying to see if I can get it before then. Right got to go watch Russell on Strictly! xx

vix1980 · 23/10/2011 08:07

Dalrymps Hi i tried everywhere to find the white chesnut flower bach remedy, but as it was late on a sunday afternoon we didnt have much choice but to go to tesco so my dp came back with a spray of bach flower remedy, just spray it twice on the tongue, i swear its a lifesaver!

I still haven't been having any pg symptoms, apart from sore boobs and tiredness, Had a horrible day yesterday moving bags back to my house and last night really thought id done some damage as my sore boobs went away, i hardly slept last night and kept waiting for the worst to happen, but luckily the aching pains are back this morning so dont know what happened!

Ive got my booking appt for 10th nov when ill be about 9 weeks, but ive been told to have an 8 week check up with my doctor, is this normal?? this is my first so i dont know whats right or wrong but my friends have only ever had a booking appt then a scan at first.

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 23/10/2011 08:28

Morning all!

Well, woke up for an hour during the night but other than that, not a bad night's sleep, which is nice.

Vix - no idea re the check up with the doc I'm afraid; think it's different everywhere - I've got to go see the doc before the midwife sees me (I think - it's all a bit of a mystery round here!).

No real plans for me today - another trip the gym later I think and that's probably the highlight of my day, other than doing some washing, bathing one of the cats etc!

ecstatica · 23/10/2011 09:21

Morning all,
Managed a catch up while my OH entertains the DC. Typically when I've been offered a lie in, I cannot sleep!!
With you on eating and hormones, knackered myself after bedreaded supermarket shop and park to cook lasagne with all mandatory trimmings, sat down to eat very aware of OHs wide eyed "more?" expression.

Also had pathetic bubbly outburst over housework my OH Is thinking "ahhh the Memories!" I have booked scan for 5 Nov, I don't know how things are going to pan out as I'm moving home in 3 weeks so at least that'll be something.

Hope u all hv a good Sunday Will be milking mine for all it's worth. To get the kids dressed then I go .....

Kayzr · 23/10/2011 09:30

Morning

Another rubbish night sleep. I can't wait for those drops to come. Im going to my mums this afternoon so I might try and nap there.

I'm really craving popcorn. I've eaten almost a whole pack of the microwavable stuff. I'm blaming it on the rugby.
