Nhomi · 25/08/2010 11:14

Hi - tracked this down after your reply to my thread! I guess that I am due May 2011 but don't know! Our first so am pretty clueless!! :)

Purplebuns · 25/08/2010 11:25

Ooh this would be our second if it sticks

I took an early test on Thursday expecting it to be negative so I could drink on my wedding day on friday, you could have really knocked me down with a feather when it was positive! Anyway I was able to wrap it up as a wedding present for my Husband and we are chuffed all round!
I can't wait for my scan and to tell everyone!

There are lots of due date calculators around if you know the date of your last period :)

OP posts:
Yorkstar · 25/08/2010 11:52

Me too. Found out on Sat and according to due date calculator i'm due 1st May Smile
This will also be our second, my ds is 22 months. Having symptoms a lot earlier this time too!

Purplebuns what a lovely wedding present. A double celebration. How old is your first?

nancy10 · 25/08/2010 11:53

I found out on Monday that I'm pregnant too! I think I ovulate quite late in my cycle so am thinking end of April/early May! I can't wait to get too 12 weeks. I don't think I'll believe it until then!

Purplebuns · 25/08/2010 11:56

Congratulations Yorkstar!
Dd is coming up 16 months, I am slightly less symptomatic this time as my boobs were really sore last time, however I am still BF and have had more milk.
I have felt a bit nauseous and I keep having hot flushes which is new and I am a little bloated.

OP posts:
Purplebuns · 25/08/2010 11:57

Congrats Nancy! Is it your first? What symptoms have you had? :)

OP posts:
Nhomi · 25/08/2010 12:16

Having only had four periods in a year, using my last period has an idea probably won't help much!!!
Am really hoping the nausea passes quickly, especially as I am an oboeist and it is not great when practising! My boobs seemed to have ballooned as well - they weren't small to start with so not looking forward to bra shopping over the next nine months!
The only difficult thing is I have been drinking over the summer and I am sure everybody is going to judge me when they find out - but I really didn't think that it would happen! My doctor says it's fine but you know how some people just love to be judgemental!

Hope your wedding goes wonderfully on Friday Purplebuns - am sure you will have an amazing day!

tummytickler · 25/08/2010 13:05

Hoorah! I think I am due on 1st May. Found out last Friday, and I am desperately hoping that it is a sticky baby after a miscarriage in January.
I have a bit of slight sickness, and stretchy feeling in my tummy! I took another test today (don't know why, reassurance I guess) and the line was bigger and pinker than the test line, so that made me feel good!
I haven't been to doctors or mw yet, I am not sure when to go, or whether to even bother with the doctor!

prurplebuns congratulations on your wedding and pregnancy, how lovely for you!

ZFJ · 25/08/2010 14:36

Hello, followed the link from the other thread, tested positive on Monday but according to the calculator on here I'm due 23rd April, can I join in anyway?

So far only symptoms are a bit of cramping tiredness and a slight bit of nausea.

Purplebuns congrats on the wedding and the pregnancy. Hope everything goes well for you on Friday :)

memorylapse · 25/08/2010 16:55

cant beleive there is a May 2011 threadShock..exactly a year ago today I found out I was expecting my dd..she was due 4th May and came 3 weeks early..

good luck May ladies..may you have happy and healthy preganciesSmile

Purplebuns · 25/08/2010 17:17

Hi All,
Just to be clear I was married last Friday and tested the Thursday night beforehand, really not expecting BFP! Thanks for the congratulations and congratulations to you all!

ZFJ of course your welcome.
Tummytickler; I did two tests as well and my pregnancy line came up before the test line!

I forgot to mention that I am really knackered with it all and have had some slight stretchy/crampy aches, but I had that last time as well!

My last pregnancy I was due 21st April 2009 and had DD on the 4th May so my children will hopefully have very close birthdays.

Hi all,
I was waiting for a May 2011 thread to appear but was too shy Blush to start one myself.
My due date works out at the end of April really (29th) using my LMP but I'm sure it'll actually be a bit later than that so here I am in May 2011!
How are everyone's symptoms? I'm just feeling a wee bit tired and have sore boobs. Also feeling VERY hungry and have taken to eating cheese and onion kettle chips every morning around 10:30-ish as I can't last all the way till lunch!

tummytickler · 25/08/2010 17:32

Purplebuns - This is dc5 for me and dh and dc's 3&4 have birthdays 3 days apart, so we try and go on holiday over that time, which is really lovely (unfortunately it is August so expensive Shock).
I am not fancying anything to eat at the moment, nothing grabs me, I bought a cucumber earlier to eat as that us all i fancied Confused.
Lolaclare - now you mention it, I might pop out and get some Kettle Chips (plain salt) - yum!
I did not even have any cake at dd's birthday part yesterday - not like me at all (would normally eat 2 slices and save one for later Blush.
How is everyone else feeling today?

toomuchtimeonline · 25/08/2010 18:33

Hey everyone. Can I join? Due 7 may with second (fingers crossed after a mc in march). Have one ds who is 23 months old.

Congrats to everyone else. No real symptoms yet - but only got bfp this morning Grin

Purplebuns · 25/08/2010 19:38

Hi, the more the merrier!
I am not sure on my EDD as internet says 1st May and doc says 3rd I have a shorter cycle so not sure how that affects it.

I have found a new love in life... Extra hot mexicana cheese and chocolate. Together.

I am a right hormonal cow this evening PAH BOO! I think PIL are going to think I turned into an evil demon as soon as I was married LOl

See you all later got some parenting to do!

OP posts:
Yorkstar · 25/08/2010 20:50

Lol about PIL Purple

Hi to all newcomers,

Im sure last time my symptoms didn't kick in until 6 weeks plus, but iv had symptoms for over two weeks now! Feeling dizzy is the worst as i need to sit down a lot but easier said than down with an energetic toddler. Secondly, im starving and my my boobs are bigger already - dh not complaining there Wink

Got a doctors appointment on Fri but don't see midwife till 8 weeks which seems ages away.

Here's to lots of sticky beans!

Yorkstar · 25/08/2010 20:52

Also meant to say, dc 5 is impressive tummytickler, im scared already about coping with two, how old are your other children?

ZFJ · 25/08/2010 22:49

tummytickler glad to hear it's not just me that doesn't have much of an appetite, I thought I was meant to be starving. I've also completely lost my sweet tooth which is just weird as I normally eat tons of chocolate.

Called the doctors today to find out what to do and as I'm away next week my appointment is not until 6th September.

LoobyLou33 · 25/08/2010 22:51

My first time - on mumsnet -and first time pregnant! It's really weird because I'm waiting to tell most people once 12 weeks is past so it's like I have this huge secret - I want to burst! Congrats to all the rest of you on this thread.

Due very end of April, think I'm four weeks...keep getting slight tummy aches which threw me to start with but I've heard a lot of people get that - anyone else? Also eating like a horse! No funny tastes yet but quite looking forward to that palava!

toomuchtimeonline · 25/08/2010 23:15

It's great to get into a thread so early. I never kept up with my ds's antenatal thread as I joined really late and was working so didn't have much time..

I'm still feeling completely normal except the mild stretching pains... Seem to remember no symptoms kicking in till a few weeks in last time..

5 kids sounds ace!! I always said I wanted 4 Grin

Anyone else use the clearblue indicator test? Mine said 1-2 weeks so will be tempted to do another one in a week... But not sure if that's a good idea..

tummytickler · 26/08/2010 08:04

Well, I had a bleed last night :(
Not very much at all, but red. No cramping, and I am still feeling the symptoms, and yesterday i did another pg test which was very positive.
I am not really sure what to do now. Is it worth bothering the doctor, or should i just wait and see what happens?
Bugger.
Have glued dc's to tv as we are waitning for a furniture delivery and i am not in the mood for entertaining today - maybe layer.
LoobyLou33 - congratulations and welcome to Mumsnet!
tmto - I have never used them, but have heard that they are quite unreliable in terms of dates. It would be awful to take one and nothing had changed, you would worry madly and probably for nothing.
My other dc's are 9, 7, 5 and 3. I would have liked closer gaps, but do not seem to be having much luck with getting and staying pg this time around.
How is everyone feeling today? (sorry for the long post Blush)

ZFJ · 26/08/2010 09:32

tummytickler I don't have any useful advice but just wanted to say I have my fingers crossed for you that it all works out.

tummytickler · 26/08/2010 09:54

ZFJ - thanks. I have been a knicker checking freak this morning, and no more blood. as it was not very much ( and just on wiping ), far less than a teaspoon, I am keeping my fingers crossed, but trying not to get my hopes up!

Purplebuns · 26/08/2010 10:14

Tummytickler fingers crossed! My mum bled pretty much constantly with my youngest sister, she did lose her twin early on, but my sister is a lovely, lively ten year old!

Congratulations! LoobyLou and TMTO!

Has anyone else developed a pot belly? I usually bloat before my Period and it is as if it just hasn't gone down! I had to change my shirt for work yesterday as I was too lumpy!

I feel ok today I have had chocolate for breakfast Hmm

I am a bit lost, as DD has gone to the childminder early as they are going on a daytrip and I don't have work until 1pm... what to do? lol

Does anyone have a preference on sex for our wee beans?

Sorry for long post!
