A little experiment, can you identify the sex of a baby when they're wearing neutral clothes?

This is something that fasinates me! I have a 7 month old and I really think without wearing gender typical clothing you would have no idea of my babys sex.

I have put a picture of my baby of my profile, can you guess the sex?

Would be interesting to see others DC too!

Actually No! I really can't tell if it's a girl or a boy

I thought it would be easy!

memoo · 25/04/2010 18:11

Wow thats really intersting!! don't want to give it away yet.

Looks vaguely girlish but only just.

Scrudd · 25/04/2010 18:12

Isn't it funny, I really thought I'd know. My initial reaction was that it's a girl, but then I just had no idea.

Fascinating

juuule · 25/04/2010 18:12

I can't.

rosieposey · 25/04/2010 18:13

Hmmm i dont think you can really, although after 3 girls i really think you could see my DS was a little boy from about 3 months. I think gender neutral clothes make it that bit more difficult but im going to guess that your lo is a little girl ( i first thought boy but then either way your lo is very very cute with chubby cheeks )

I dont think its very easy to identify either sex if they arent dressed gender specific. That said though sometimes you can just tell a little girl or boy - more often than not though its not easy.

Girl I think

Miggsie · 25/04/2010 18:14

My friend says all babies look like Winston Churchill and their sex is irrelevant unless you are changing the nappies.

RustyBear · 25/04/2010 18:14

I think girl, just because he/she looks quite like my friends daughter, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.

TulipsInTheSunshine · 25/04/2010 18:15

boy

but in general i can't so am probably wrong

nethermind · 25/04/2010 18:16

I thought boy....but who can tell!

MaMight · 25/04/2010 18:17

I think she's a girl. Have not read thread yet.

TrinityIsAPenguin · 25/04/2010 18:18

I thought boy first off but now I just really dont know at all

BessieBoots · 25/04/2010 18:18

I thought boy. My 1st DS looked like a girl until he was about 3- DS2, on the other hand, is a little rugby player!

whittywan · 25/04/2010 18:18

Girl

going · 25/04/2010 18:18

maxybrown · 25/04/2010 18:18

I thought it would be easy and would say girl........but then wasn't so sure lol!

memoo · 25/04/2010 18:19

Very chubby cheeks!!! Very red too at the moment as we are getting teeth! I wonder if there is a certain age where you can just tell regardless

I think boy.

TrillianAstra · 25/04/2010 18:21

Boy, if forced to choose.

But in reality I have no idea. It's a small human, I can't say more than that.

Nemain · 25/04/2010 18:22

I can't tell either!

I initially thought girl as your dc looks a little like a younger version of a girl I know.

Then I looked closer and I think boy from the eyes

EccentricaGallumbits · 25/04/2010 18:23

I thinkgirl.

I'm rubbish though.

Starberries · 25/04/2010 18:24

DuelingFanjo · 25/04/2010 18:25

memoo · 25/04/2010 18:25
