A little experiment, can you identify the sex of a baby when they're wearing neutral clothes?

This is something that fasinates me! I have a 7 month old and I really think without wearing gender typical clothing you would have no idea of my babys sex.

I have put a picture of my baby of my profile, can you guess the sex?

Would be interesting to see others DC too!

girl boy girl

Hulababy · 25/04/2010 21:36

Well done greensleeves

In that order: me (girl), my godson (boy) and then my DD (girl)

Greensleeves · 25/04/2010 21:36

yay!! to be fair though I did recognise the third one!

DitaVonCheese · 25/04/2010 21:36

Some from me:

Baby 1: newborn, 6 months ish, 9 months, 15 months (interesting to see whether it becomes more obvious)

Baby 2 (about 6 months, but two months prem)

DitaVonCheese · 25/04/2010 21:38

Grr! I was doing so well too!

Hulababy · 25/04/2010 21:39

Was curious whether the lemon babygro on DD would sway people one way or the other, as bought for any newborn as didn't know gender.

Though pic of me woukd be a give away due to nice 70s soft furnighings, lol.

And I think my godson looks really boyush, right from being tiny.

Hulababy · 25/04/2010 21:41

Dita - in pics 1 and 4 of baby 1 I'd say boy, in the 6-9m pics I am thinking more girl. So not sure overall, lol! Hmmm...boy?

Baby2 - boy

GoldenSnitch · 25/04/2010 21:43

Dita - boy and girl

Really not sure about baby 2 though.

hormonesnomore · 25/04/2010 21:48

DitaVonCheese - boys? (both gorgeous!)

When my DS was born, the midwife said "It's a good job he's a boy with a face like that!"

He was a bit of a bruiser!

GoldenSnitch · 25/04/2010 21:56

I want to play but I can't upoad pictures from my netbook and DH is on the PC. There's a pic on my profile of one of my babys in a neutral outfit but the background would give it away even if I changed the title

hellymelly · 25/04/2010 21:57

I think girl,which is it?

DitaVonCheese · 25/04/2010 22:01

For mine, baby 1 is my own DD - now I know why old dears still called her "him" even when she wore flowery babygros (though I'm still baffled by a friend of DH's who couldn't tell whether she was a boy or a girl because I'd dressed her in a pink babygro with a blue cardi over the top ) - and baby 2 is my latest nephew

memoo · 25/04/2010 22:12

Goldensnitch that first pic on your profile is just the cutest!!!!!! And she looks like a girl, she has very delicate features

GoldenSnitch · 25/04/2010 22:20

Thankyou Memoo.

I pinched that photo from my Facebook profile then realised the cardi was very girly and was probably as big a give away as the pink muslin in the other pic!

runnybottom · 25/04/2010 22:20

Ohh ooh try mine! One pic on profile... big child is obvious, but what about the little one?

GoldenSnitch · 25/04/2010 22:25

boy?

DitaVonCheese · 25/04/2010 22:26

runnybottom I would say girl for sure.

Hulababy · 25/04/2010 22:28

That one is tough rb; not sure I can say either way. Very cute baby though

hellymelly · 25/04/2010 22:32

Finally read the whole thread. So I was right, she is a girl.Actually I think it is usually easy to tell,I wonder why though?

hellymelly · 25/04/2010 22:35

runnybottom · 25/04/2010 22:43

pointydog · 25/04/2010 22:45

runnybottom · 25/04/2010 22:50
