'kind of like storm for a girls name...but not an actual storm you know?'

that's a little confusing

What about Elliot?

VictorianSqualor · 19/04/2008 15:37

If you want to call your child Alias, go ahead, he is your child.
But expect him to hate you for all the ribbing he'll get at school.
Personally I think it's a terrible idea.

Mason is cool, there are quite a few different connotations people may think of, but that's the same with most names.

seeker · 19/04/2008 15:45

Honestly, Alias isn't a name, Really truely. Elias is - but alias is a word meaning "otherwise known as - they use it to describe the false names criminals use. "The defendant, Jonh Smith used several aliases over the past 3 years......"

Maximillian is my son's name but we all just call him Max which was the idea - I just wanted him to have a proper name so we could all piss ourselves when he got married!

DH did mention that we should change it after Kerry & Chav man have called their son it but hey we got there first!

vicsta · 19/04/2008 15:59

Elias/eli just lovely. On my list. Didn't really know Alias was a name, but there you go. As to Mason - I like it BUT wouldn't use it as it's a VERY popular name where I live and the Welsh accent doesn't really do it justice.

No me Alias is 'Alias Smith and Jones' a con man using an alias to do his dreadful deeds! It really means that! \here{http://www.answers.com/topic/alias?cat=technology\for an online definition}

Sorry but I think it is a dreadful name.

In fact, Dreadful (as in Dreadful Spiller in the Borrowers) would probably be better

Blandmum · 19/04/2008 16:23

Elias is an name.

Use Alias, and you will look as if you didn't know what I means....

Blandmum · 19/04/2008 16:25

try again-the meaning of Alias!

msappropriate · 19/04/2008 16:25

Alias? Is is a bit egocentric to give your kid the male version of your name?

Blandmum · 19/04/2008 16:27

look, these people don't think it is a name either
