Oddest sibling set you've come across

I recently met a Tiger and a Bob. Primary aged brothers, both lovely kids.

I also went to school with Claire and her brother Zephyr, and with sisters Beatrice, Georgiana, Victoria and...Cindy. Not short for anything, just Cindy.

Any sib sets you've come across that just don't seem to fit?

This made me laugh! 'Starlight' juxtaposed with all the ordinary names!

Thankfully my Nan persuaded her to give me a non wacky middle name, which I adopted at 14

I'm in Ireland - I'm often surprised when there's a mixture of very Irish names ... & not!

My DC all have very Irish names, fadas & 'dh's galore, it would seem so strange to me to have a non-Irish name there. My DSis has 4 - one with a Germanic-English name and the other 3 with very Irish and not common names. Not that I'd ask or comment!

Anastasia, Venetia and… bog standard Lucy.

I met someone used her older son’s middle name as her second son’s first. I found that a little odd.

One of Prince George's middle names is Louis. William and Kate obviously really liked the name.

sciencemama · 13/02/2024 20:08

Knew sisters Kelly and Ellie (not short for Eleanor or Elizabeth)... baffled me the names are too similar!

Know a Roberta and her full biological sister is Jazelle.

Jonnycakes · 13/02/2024 20:09

Martha and Arthur. Arthur was a family name, girl came first so used a variation, didn’t think there’d be more children so when the boy came along they used it anyway!

Sisters, Emily-Rose and Ellie-Ray. Basically the same name twice…

I always think it's odd when I see the Wayne and Colleen Rooneys kids - Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass - I wonder why Cass wasn't spelt with a K too!

Omg yes this bothers me to a ridiculous extent 🤣

Duolingo · 13/02/2024 20:13

I know a Jack and Rose. I'd love to know Tiger and Bob though 😄

ladygindiva · 13/02/2024 20:13

Eliza and Elsie. Same name. Also know an Eliza and a Beth. Also same name.

ladygindiva · 13/02/2024 20:14

Please don't say surname was West.

M/F twins called Beau and Ty

CharlieBoo · 13/02/2024 20:25

4 sisters.. all really classic names (think Anna, Emily) but the youngest is called Rae..

sciencemama · 13/02/2024 20:33

I went to school with siblings shaziya, Natasha, sameera and roxanna. Their parents were Irish Catholic and an Arab Muslim. Strange to have two sets of siblings with very different cultural names.

FortyFacedFuckers · 13/02/2024 20:34

That's always irritated me too

lioneggs · 13/02/2024 20:45

Tiger blu and Molly. Just seems so weird together!
2 sets of Thomas and Edisons

AmyandPhilipfan · 13/02/2024 20:48

I knew twins called Gabby and Abby, which I thought was far too 'samey.'

3 siblings born in late 80s, early 90s - very traditional names for the first two - Thomas and Elizabeth, and then Kelly for the last. Just didn't seem to go.

pinkyredrose · 13/02/2024 20:48

MenorcaMarguerite · 13/02/2024 20:00

Lucretia, Polly and Sam.
