Oddest sibling set you've come across

I recently met a Tiger and a Bob. Primary aged brothers, both lovely kids.

I also went to school with Claire and her brother Zephyr, and with sisters Beatrice, Georgiana, Victoria and...Cindy. Not short for anything, just Cindy.

Any sib sets you've come across that just don't seem to fit?

Melody, Harmony and Jade

I'm pretty sure I taught one of them! Midlands, surname beginning with H? Would be around 21 now?

Family I’ve known since I was 10. They had 4 (3 girls and 1 boy) Ella, Spencer, Ruth and Juliet? Combo is bizarre. I’ve also met a family of 7 ! Kate, TJ, Flynn,Theodora, Jonny, Alex, Lucy? I find this combo interesting bc theres common names like Lucy and Kate but then there’s Flynn and TJ

I don’t think any of those combinations are particularly odd!

It’s not the names some names are quite nice it’s just I wouldn’t really put those names together because Ella is quite common and then Juliet you don’t really hear much of if you get what I mean it’s like calling a kid Fred then calling their sibling Taitin they don’t match

Trinity and Neo - parents were big Matrix fans

Evan, Owen & Ieuan

Evan, Owen and Ieuan are all very normal welsh names!

I went to school with a Delia, she was the 4th child and her older 3 siblings were A, B and C first letters. I can't remember the actual names though, but it was alphabetical

I know a family who are Alana, Bethan, Catrin, Dylan, Evan and Ffion.
so alphabetical but with one non welsh name . 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

Weren’t they on Fun House with Pat Sharpe?

Melanie and Martina!

FraterculaArctica · 17/02/2024 04:47

Family I knew growing up. Andrew, Fiona (normal 70s names) and Charmaine.

MirandaBlu · 17/02/2024 05:53

John, James, Paul, Hosanna, Simon, Thomas, and Epiphany. I always wondered if one parent chose the girls' names and the other the boys'.

Andrew is a shite name for a royal too.

Apparently there's some tradition of using Andrew, David, George, Patrick to honour the countries of the UK. Edward VIII had all four as middle names.

“John, James, Paul, Hosanna, Simon, Thomas, and Epiphany. I always wondered if one parent chose the girls' names and the other the boys”
I think they all have a religious/bible connection and match.

Thanks for giving me an early morning laugh everyone!

Big shout out for Fred and Rose, Trinity and Neo, and the person named Blossom Hill.

Caspianberg · 17/02/2024 06:25

Bridget and Brian - both currently under 10 years old

HerRoyalNotness · 17/02/2024 16:04

Carlton and Colton. Not twins, baffled me for awhile but found out years later Carlton has a first name that isn’t used (F i t z h u b e r t). My son calls him Fitz now.

DaBlackCatsAreDaBestCats · 17/02/2024 16:32

Mike and Bernie Winters were an odd sibling set…

FayCarew · 17/02/2024 16:46

Michael and Bernard less so. Both saints (of clothes and dogs?)

FayCarew · 17/02/2024 16:49

Andrew was named after his grandfather.

scotstarstrikestwo · 17/02/2024 18:57

I really hope thr name Andrew isn't going to be taboo now just because one questionable idiot. It's a beautiful traditional name

Sadly I’ve know a few idiots with that name 🤣

dancinginthewind · 17/02/2024 23:17

Reading through this & remembered that there is a local family with Daisy, Peggy & Margot. I did make a comment once about the Margaret theme and got a blank look so I think it's just coincidence. I'm not sure I would have been aware of the connection if I hadn't spent hours of my childhood reading the Chalet School books

Well yes but its not the name that causes the idioticness! Can you tell its my sons name lol

FourNaanJeremy · 18/02/2024 01:05

There was a brilliant one posted on here years ago of 3 sisters and a brother, the sisters’ names were something like Faith, Hope & Charity. And then the brother was called Kevin.

Still makes me chuckle when I think about it

Hushabyelullaby · 18/02/2024 01:19

Brothers Wayne, Wesley, and Warren

oursdhjf · 19/02/2024 04:30

I know someone who wanted all of her children's names to begin with C so...

Callum
Claddagh
Ceshia (Keshia)
Cavron
Clifton
Cleo
Clayton

fightingthedogforadonut · 19/02/2024 19:03

I knew a Samuel once whose sister was Samantha. They both went by Sam. So many names in the world, could the parents not have picked something different for the second child?!!

MrsB2019x · 19/02/2024 20:37

2010Aussie · 13/02/2024 21:40

Shane, Wayne, Dwaine and Sharon
