Irrational name dislikes

Flappingflamingo · 21/08/2020 17:47

I'm not pregnant, have 3 children and not having any more, but I love baby names. My best friend is having a baby soon and so have spent a lot of time recently talking and thinking about names. I've come to realise that there are some names that I really really can't stand and for absolutely no apparent reason at all.
I would like to apologise to anyone and everyone, I really don't mean to offend anyone but I just can't help it or have any reason for it, but here are some of mine to start with - you notice a theme!! 😂 😂
Poppy
Ruby
Scarlet
Rowan
Anyone have any?

Tlollj · 21/08/2020 18:49

Well I’m keeping quiet 3/6 grandchildren names here 😀
I don’t like made up hyphenated ones. I guess it’s all fashion and everything comes round again.

formerbabe · 21/08/2020 18:51

Imogen
Harriet
Grace

I know they're pretty popular on here but I absolutely think they're awful.

For boys, I cannot stand the name Oscar

Flappingflamingo · 21/08/2020 18:52

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has irrational ne hate!! 😂 😂 😂 I did actually tell my friend that if she used a particular one of those names I would actually have to stop talking to her, thankfully it's not a name she liked!! 😂 😂

Another George hater here, for the same reasons as SaintOfBats.

Also have unreasonable dislike for Martha and Tabitha.

Aquamarine1029 · 21/08/2020 19:04

I absolutely hate Samuel and Caleb. HATE them.
